- I tested out EKWB's Nucleus CR240 Lux, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire package. From the form to the function, let's see why the latest AIO from the liquid cooling specialist deserves some serious consideration.

I appreciate that you're still using the NR200 for testing. That's how I originally found your channel and why I purchased the Arctic LF II AIO to go with it. I don't see the LF II being uninstalled any time soon though. 🙂
Awesome! When users have space for a thicker rad, the LF II is still one of the best performers.
Many big brands are from or originate from Slovenia. We've got Dončič, liquid cooling (EK), exhausts (Akrapovič), airplanes (Pipistrel), appliances (gorenje), skiing quipment (Elan), computing hardware and software (Dewesoft) and much more. Quite impressive for a country of 2 million people imo.
Great review. I just purchased this unit for my new upgrade for gaming. I appreciate the honest review and analysis. Thank's for taking the time to do it.
Would love to see more comparisons of this and other AIO's vs CPU Coolers, especially info related to sound/temps
Pump seems very quiet - do I understand correctly if I pair this AIO with Noctua nf-a12x25 fans one can have a dead silent system?
This one fits fine in the A4-H2O if the magnetic cap is removed. Do you know how this compares to the DeepCool LS520 SE ?? Thanks!
Any plans to review the Phantom Spirit 120 SE? Every NR200 user has been talking about how good this cooler is--matches or even beats the NH-D15!
i can give you a short review, I was even using a peerless assassin before switching to it
i can even give an apples to apples comparison since i switched the fans that came with both of them with arctic p12's.
same fan curve and bios settings, the phantom spirit was 1-3C lower, so pretty much margin of error
i was using a 5800x + 6950xt in an nr200. tested in timespy, and ppt/tdc/edc was 90/70/90 in both tests
i don't have that pc anymore, but i have seen that the phantom spirit is better on higher heat loads, so maybe overclocking/ryzen 9 would show more of a difference here
2:47 I was contemplating the dark 240mm for the A4-H2O case. Disappointing that it doesn’t fit, but glad I saw your video beforehand.
it fits, but you need to remove the top cover
Yes, it fits
Indeed- if you’re fine not installing the cover then it is fine. Not having the cover may have a slight impact on the acoustic properties but the pump is pretty quiet to begin with.
@@MachinesMoreLove your channel. I'm a Dan A4 H2O user and was curious if removing the cap makes any more noticable noise and without cap will it fit the dans 55mm clearance?
@@RydRa88 I did a search on the ekwb dark 240mm parts. Is it just the top part or the top (2) parts?
Been a fan of EK and their AIOs but the past 3 I've received from them made me reconsider using them.
1 that was DOA, and other 2 that died little after a year.
They were free sets that were given as replacement for the delayed EK-Nucleus Vision. But still..
I recently got a faulty unit doa from ek as well. I ended up getting a fractal lumen and the thing is working like a champ
How does the EK AIO fair with the AM5 ryzen cpus? Thank you for doing this types of review!
Wake up babe new Machines & More video just dropped
Will you be doing Intel ITX motherboards? Maybe when 14th gen comes out?
All copper or mixed batch?
Have you tested the DeepCool LS520 SE?
Amazing work as always. Just a heads up, I don't see a link to your sponsor. I wanted to check out a chair, but I wana make sure I have an affiliate link.
Thank you! I pinned a comment for it and it's also in the description!
@@MachinesMore weird, it must have been something on my end then. I didn't have any comments on the page yet. I reloaded and see them now.
would you still recommend it in 2024? worried about the pump noise
I have it cooling my 7800x3d cant even notice the noise keeps it below 60 while gaming
hi!) I bought Lian li h2o, will this little water handle an i7 14700k?
No 140 variants?
Not yet!
Any 280aio recommend for nr200p?
Is EK planning a future 280mm model?
EK said no plans for 280mm nor 420mm
Would this pump fit into the T1 Sandwich case?
No it wont. But it can fit in an A4 H2O if u remove the magnetic cover.
@@LlGHT Damn! I was hoping it would fit. Thank you
The pumphead size on this is quite big though right? I found this difficult to fit into some SFF cases like the A4 H2O and the meshilicious with standoff mod.
60mm. If you remove the top cover it can help with fit.
Thanks for this. That's the exact information I'm looking for.
Too bad cause the previous version had a more discreet block that fit 😢
Very nice
Big mistake they discontinued 280mm AIO.
Did you get an Arctic Liquid Freezer II for comparison? Pair that 38mm thicc rad with 30mm Phanteks t30 fans and cooling go brrr
Yes please 😊
How do you control the rgb lights? Is it with EK own software or any rgb software would do?
Any
@@nathansiew5054 it's been 84 years.
so is that underclocked/undervolted on the 5800x?
The voltage is locked close to where a curve optimized PBO setting would land at that all core clock. So, slight undervolt in that sense.
@@MachinesMore yeah ok, so its throught the PPT settings. I had to turn my PBO curve off as warzone is that poorly coded that it just causes it to crash mid game.
I must be honest I love your videos but I couldn't finish watching as soon as you said it won't fit in my case (Dan A4 H2O) 😞
i brought the 360, unhappy with it, the pump noise is wild! its at least 2x louder than the coilwhine my gpu throws out.
Yikes… I would think something is wrong with it then… have you contacted EK?
@@MachinesMore yep, via youtube and they wanted me to send in a ticket. honestly i cbf, they were unhelpful when i had standoffs on a waterblock seize up holding my card/block captive. i'll just wear it, but no more ekwb for me.
also when i opened it up, there is a is a tiny bit of sheet metal over the pump, when you remove that the noise lessens, and more so if you place a thumb directly over where i assume the pump is housed so it looks like poor manufacturing on this unit, def no quality control
@@cristiant6566 Did you get a new one from EK?
@@Wimpelmann lmfao no they did fuck all for me. On my last GPU block the counter screw got threaded so it wouldn't release the GPU from the block they said that wasn't within warranty then they wanted me to do all sorts of weird shit for this to get warranty it's still in a box next to me I got a deep cool ak300 tower cooler off Amazon to keep me going. I'm sick of ek tbh. Ever since they fired half their staff they've just sucked ass
Is it me or is the audio worse than usual?
It's you.
rather pricey :/
Higher fans speed of Nucleus kept it in the game otherwise meh.
Its pumhead is too tall 🤦♂️
