For everyone saying the audience's cheers made it annoying, I could not disagree more. Their excitement was perfect since this was the last show. I kind of even teared up. Thanks for this!
i remember first seeing this when i was like in my 20's, and just laughing at how ridiculous it was. i still had a lot of fun. coming back to watch this on youtube at 40.... the last show ever? just hearing that crowd..... i really teared up too. brought back a lot of fun memories visiting friends in LA, and doing all the goofy theme park shit every time. i loved this video
I got to watch the terminator show with my cousin and his wife at universal studios Hollywood a long time ago and we enjoyed it. I remember the main villain was corny because she was constantly saying super several times. Me and my cousin got up and left when there were technical problems on the part where the motorcycle appeared on the stage. We came back after 30 minutes and we were able to finish watching the terminator show.
Terminator was definitely one of favorites every time I went with my parents to Universal. Their shop was just amazing with a full Darth Vader suit and a bunch of things to make any nerds dream come true
As well-made as the Despicable Me attraction truly is, the genius of this show is timeless. The way they have you put on the "safety visors" before the 3D movie starts makes it feel more immersive. The way real life actors seemed to pop in and out of the screen was mind-breakingly innovative. And the fact that the finale incorporates two extra screens on the left and right to make you feel surrounded by the action still holds up to this day. If we ever do get time travel tech, you can bet I'm going on this "ride" again.
Maan, i'm getting emotional flashbacks watching all these videos BTTF, E.T., Terminator Ride, Backdraft.....90's Universal Studios had some amazing rides, especially as a kid!! The magic was there.
I visited in 2011 and it WAS A BLAST! It was one of the best experiences of my life and to this date I still remember it from time to time and tell my gf how memorable that experience was. I will never forget how that smoke explosion got me at the end. The music, the effects, the action. Thank you so much Universal and all people participated at creating this ride!
What a lovely evening. The crowd was so warm, loving and appreciative. A fantastic performance by the final cast, and an incredible standing ovation at the end. Thanks, InsideUniversal, for putting this together.
Loved this attraction when I was younger. It was the only 3D that ever really wowed me for some reason. That being said, The Bourne Stuntacular was absolutely breathtaking to see this past week. It's so cool to see the actors and stuntmen doing their thing in that attraction. It might not have the same kind of "Woo! Arnold!" effect seen here, but the special effects and the stunts all really come together to make something truly incredible.
I remember going to this with my parents when I was 12. I was so pumped and thrilled through the whole thing. The practical effects along with the amazing visuals made it feel like you were in the middle of the movies. Those animatronic terminators scared the hell out of me when they revealed them lol. Also I had a seat right where john shows up. What's funny is that he doesn't even lip sync and just points up at the ceiling lol. What it made more memorable was some drunk guy was yelling at the host during the intro and she said, "security can show you out and maybe you'll have a future when you sober up. Ok? Suuuppperr."
I remember experiencing this attraction in the early 2000’s! After this their was a photo spot where you could take picture on the motor cycle with a realistic background from terminator. I hope I can find those pictures one day. I still remember them
I'm sorry to say this, but it won't come to Universal Studios Hollywood for a long time. They've put too much money into the new Despicable Me attraction.
especially when it is in favor the "new hip crowd that only prefers movies of today instead of this awesomeness right here" I am NEVER going to Universal Studios again for this reason alone.
This show was AMAZING the stunts effects all of it was breath taking for me to witness. I will sorrowfully miss the EPICNESS that was this amazing show
i'm so sad this is gone :'(....as a kid this was my fave attraction well when i was younger it scared me lol but as i got to my pre-teens i loved it...i wish they had not taken it down -__-
This is in my top 3 of favorite Universal Studios Attractions, taking the number 3 spot. It's a mix of a stunt show and a 3D movie, and much like how Star Tours was my exposure to the Star Wars franchise, this was my exposure to The Terminator franchise. Before I came across this attraction, I had never seen any of The Terminator movies, so I was experiencing franchises like Terminator and Star Wars for the very first time, as attractions. And while I didn't understand this attraction at first, it definitely left an impression on me. But then when I finally saw: "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", the ride just got better for me. This attraction is a great continuation of Terminator 2. It's the actual Terminator 3, even if it is just a short film. But like The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman and Jaws: The Ride, this ride doesn't exist anymore but... man, was it an impressive stunt show. The combination of 3D and the actual stunt performers takes my breath away every time it happens because it's an incredible achievement, in terms of theme park shows.
I remember watching this advertised on TV when it was first introduced - i mistaken it for another Terminator Movie. For some reason that advert has always stayed with me. Wish i got to see this in real life - it looked like a blast. A piece of history!
Damn my childhood haven't been to universal studios hollywood in a long long time.. last time I went was the last day you were able to get on Back to the Future we were lucky enough to get on still remember it to this day wow time flies
That was awesome!! The last show is always the most exciting for both the cast and the audience. You can feel that the cast was giving that performance everything they had R.I.P. T23D!!!! :'(
last time I watched this stun show was dec 23 2012... I have had ma annual pass for 7 years straight and didnt miss it everytime I went there.. it was sad and almost cry when I went yesterday and found out it was closed... it cough me by surprise they didnt even announced.. they should of kept it for at least 1 more year... so we all could of said good bye.. I am a hard core fan.. I own all 4 dvds on blu ray... RIP T2-3D Hollywood. T_T
I remember a while back when terminator was open and my universal pass was about to expire I thought that maybe I should go in terminator one last time but I didn't think universal would close it and I didn't go on it. I really enjoyed terminator and I really regret not Seeing the show one lat time and it makes me feel sad that it's gone😢😭😥😩😫😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
10 years ago I went very 1st time to T2 3D show US Hollywood theme park and last time was summer 2011(I remember the actor on stage shooting a machinegun and a little kid somewhere in the audience was crying. The prop gun may of been firing blanks but it's closes to live sound to the real thing firing automatic).
Now here's a 3d movie, I would actually pay money to see, I remember seeing ads for this during an 'old' martial arts series WMAC Masters, I had always hoped to get there one day, but was, and still am too poor to make the trip, thanks for the video, preserving the final performance of this cool a** attraction, seems like the actress really got into her role 'SUPER!'
I agree with you bro I've been an annual pass meber for the last 7 years and this stunt show never got old.. I alwayz left the auditorium amused... I've never felt so sad not even when Back to the future ride closed... T_T
They did for everything you see on the video screens but it'd be impossible them there everyday to do the "live" portion not to mention those actors could never do the stunts as many times a day as these very talented stunt performers do. The live actors are the reason I actually love the show so much & whenever I go (which is a lot since I'm a passholder here in FL) I always sit in the front row to watch them. The 3D movie stays the same so it's always much more entertaining to watch them.
I'd give anything to spend a full day in 2010 Universal Studios... This, the house of horrors, the OG special effects show, and the old decorations... Man it sucks that Universal sold out so much :( Used to be such a magical place...
They closed this for minions really turning this in to disney land if they touch the mummy or the tram I'm down with universal don't even think about Jurassic park. R.i.p house of horrors blues brothers and terminator you will be missed 😔
Wow ,this was truly a part of my childhood I Dnt think I’ve ever experienced any 3D live action show better than this. I Dnt understand why they repeatedly remove such iconic experiences at Universal , clearly the business model is different than Disney’s cause according to Universal it’s a small world should have been scrapped decades ago!!
For everyone saying the audience's cheers made it annoying, I could not disagree more. Their excitement was perfect since this was the last show. I kind of even teared up. Thanks for this!

I never made it, wish I had. Maybe if Japan keeps the last one open. Sincerely thankful Universal made this accessible for home audiences. Thank You!

i grew up loving this show and hearing the crowd get this excited is a bittersweet feeling..
I was there that last day. I remember it. I miss you terminator!
Terminator was definitely one of favorites every time I went with my parents to Universal. Their shop was just amazing with a full Darth Vader suit and a bunch of things to make any nerds dream come true
Definitely my favorite Universal Attraction. I'm glad I was able to experience it while it was still there.
Same here
God I miss this show. Watching this brings back really good memories.
WHY IS THIS GONE??? This was SO much better than Despicable Me!
I wish you were gone
@@miqueasort1626 T2: 3D was way better.
Yes I agree this was the blast!!
Money
100%

cant believe they opened MINIONS for this
Now THIS is the comment I was looking for. I was about to say the same thing
They’re just filling the world up with dumb shit at this point. Smh 🤦♂️. Life ain’t fun no more.
This show was and will always be the REAL Terminator 3
2*

They need to figure out a way to bring this experience to bluray. I'd definitely buy it.
They need to figure out a way to bring it back
Haha for real!
Why couldn't they remove Shrek 4D for Despicable Me.
no transformer was the one who replaced this

I miss this sooo much
I miss this ride :(
xxthehorrorqueenxx this is a ride ?
I hate when they close down a classic ride or show.
especially when it is in favor the "new hip crowd that only prefers movies of today instead of this awesomeness right here" I am NEVER going to Universal Studios again for this reason alone.
Universal wanted to move on to new attractions for a new generation
@@CrimsonArtsStudios Wah wah wah!
universal prefers trends over nostalgia.
Yeah. If they weren't for that, Universal would not be here! 😢😭😢
If you guys still wanna go on the ride, just make plans to go to the Orlando park. I was there last spring break, and I was BLOWN AWAY at the ride!
psst that comment you made about terminator 2 3D 3 years ago its dated now the Orlando version closes October 8th
mystery brick They are closing the one in Orlando too!? Man what else are they closing. Smh
coco the bear dragon challenge if you don't know THAT is getting replaced with a new "family friendly/innovative harry potter family coaster"
Cassandra Emagena sadly not anymore 😭😭
i'll save up it's too far for me. I live in California LOL
I remember this like it was yesturday thanks once again guys :)
Saw this show back in 1998! Was amazing!
Imagine if universal studios still operates this ride they’d never lose anything
I'm soooooooo happy I got to see this twice last Sunday!!! Thank you Orlando!

I wish i was able to go back and experience this again:(
Better than T3, Salvation, and Geniysis.
And Terminator 6
Sorry but Terminator: Salvation was a Good Movie🖤👍
awesome post & thank you for sharing - T2 3D truly ushered in the era of the 3D interactive attractions @ theme parks !
Yes, T2:3D is still operating in Orlando and Japan.
Not anymore
You can see him smiling after he choked Kimberly xD 13:52
I actually went to universal on the 12th of December 2012 and I really regret not seeing this show. Too bad its gone forever
BEST SHOW I EVER SAW!! i cant believe its closed now there goes my childhood=[
Me too :(
Suuuuuuuuuuuppeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
This show was great. Mixing 3-D with live action.
Why in the world would they get rid of it?
This was such a good show! Sucks they removed it.
I remember watching this advertised on TV when it was first introduced - i mistaken it for another Terminator Movie. For some reason that advert has always stayed with me. Wish i got to see this in real life - it looked like a blast. A piece of history!
So many memories... 🔥
What a great audience. Thanks for the post!
It's sad how well never going to see this show again I love this show :(
Thanks guys. Great coverage of the final show.
Did this in Sept 1999 and again in Oct 2009. So glad I got to experience it again before it was closed.
If you pause at 1:54, look to the left, the guy in the black hoodie, black hair, black sideburns. That was me :')

Damn my childhood haven't been to universal studios hollywood in a long long time.. last time I went was the last day you were able to get on Back to the Future we were lucky enough to get on still remember it to this day wow time flies
If the franchise would have stayed successful maybe we could have seen revamps
I just experienced the last showing of this ride for the Orlando park. I got a picture after the show was over with the whole cast.
I love how Kimberly says super.
Wish i could have seen this before it was taken off. I remember seeing T2 at a drive in movie theater. What an experience at 6 years old.
That was awesome!! The last show is always the most exciting for both the cast and the audience. You can feel that the cast was giving that performance everything they had R.I.P. T23D!!!! :'(
This show was so cool, I was only a kid when I saw it but it's a core memory fr
They still have this at Fl
Oscar Kolodynski Not anymore

What do you think happened to those T-70 Terminators? You think they’re sitting in someone’s garage?
i miss this

I never got to ride this, but when I did go, I got the t2 3D golf ball. Which were still there in 2022.
This Still happens I saw it yesterday

You probably went to the Orlando version. The Hollywood version is closed.

Man I remember seeing this as a kid an being amazed at what I was experiencing , I would give up my left nut just to watch this again in person
I'd give anything to spend a full day in 2010 Universal Studios... This, the house of horrors, the OG special effects show, and the old decorations... Man it sucks that Universal sold out so much :(
Used to be such a magical place...
@xKiLLERKaRRITx 2015 is in two years. The ride was popular, and it was fun, but it didn't even make sense anymore...
You are welcome. It was our pleasure.
They closed this for minions really turning this in to disney land if they touch the mummy or the tram I'm down with universal don't even think about Jurassic park. R.i.p house of horrors blues brothers and terminator you will be missed 😔
mf wolf they got rid of blues brother D:
mf wolf They will never remove the tram!!!
mf wolf THEY GOT RID OF THE HOUSE OF HORRORS??? (Sorry, I havent been there since 2012 :P)
Universal Hollywood closed Shrek 4-D on August 13 2017. Same day The Great Movie Ride closed at Disney World.
As of December 2017 Universal Hollywood has closed House of Horrors, it’s in talks to close The Mummy this year (2018) ... super bummed.
I remember getting on this show as a kid and then when i was 14 man didnt knew it got closed down
they gotta bring this back
Ah I remember this back in 2007... Still think it's cool
You skipped the entire battle across time
I don't know about now, but I saw this in April 2013 in Orlando for my senior trip.
Also they allow filming for the last showing at Orlando version
I miss this show and BTTF The Ride...
I still love hearing that shotgun 😥 I miss this show
Wow ,this was truly a part of my childhood I Dnt think I’ve ever experienced any 3D live action show better than this. I Dnt understand why they repeatedly remove such iconic experiences at Universal , clearly the business model is different than Disney’s cause according to Universal it’s a small world should have been scrapped decades ago!!

gotta Miss it a lot
