This is T3, John’s dream sequence nightmare. That’s all we need. Future war with the OG cast still in the 90s. 20 minutes of this from like 95 still looks better than anything the franchise produced since
A funny moment I found in this was when the T-800 shot a drone and another drone just watched its comrade crash, it didn't need to do that but it did anyway, pure comedy gold.
Maybe the drones are programmed like an insect swarm. Because the T-800 that isn't specifically programmed to target John, also overrides it's attack with a response to sound, suggesting that, for general units, orientation takes precedence over objective.
I know is a cliche to say "is one of the best terminator movies since T2." but is true, while the effect is not always great and the call back can be a bit cheesy, but 1 it is a ride not an actual movie (which is also a shame), 2 it is really fun and awesome.
Totally agree. Cheesy because of the ride aspect, but ultimately it's THE actual 3rd movie to the franchise. Just wish they had adapted it until the an actual official 3rd film.
Not gonna lie. I loved the third movie we got. It had the best action scenes of the entire series. That being said, I do kinda wish we'd seen a resurrection of "Uncle Bob" in some manner.
I remember when this first opened I had a friend named Timothy Graves who wasn't the brightest guy I ever knew exactly who came to school after a sunmer break and all he could do was bitch and moan because apparently he sat through a long line for this ride thinking it was essentially T-3 only to discover it was a ride after he got on it. Like I said he wasn't exactly the brightest person I ever knew.
That's very VERY interesting as i also went to school in the south of England UK with a friend named Timothy who also wasn't the brightest person i ever knew but his surname wasn't Graves but it did begin with a G and ended with a D. I remember him telling me his parents were taking him to Universal Studios in Orlando where he was looking forward to seeing Terminator 3 which i was so jealous of. Anyway when we restarted school in September he also moaned about it only being a ride. If you have changed his surname to protect his identity and you also went to school in the south of England then we might have gone to school together and be talking about the same Tim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@SAMTHEMANTHATCAN Unfortunately no his name was actually Timothy Graves and we didn't go to school in England. We went to school in Virginia in the U.S.. Who knows though maybe they were related or something?
I feel like it's starting to gain more notoriety now the ride is closed. There's more footage out there too, with Dr Silberman in advertisement videos. It feels so much more like a sequel than the actual sequels we got.
This was also before Furlong did too much cocaine to star in “T3” and was groomed by a creepy tutor who macked on him before he was even old enough to drive.
Better than “Terminator X: Terminator Takes Manhattan”? Better than “Terminator’s Big Adventure” where the T-800 goes cross-country to find his bike? Better than “The Penetrator” “Terminator” porno parodies? I dug the latter and count them as canon.
@@elliotseabrooktennis Well it's a giant computer, it needs to be cooled otherwise it'll overheat, just like your home computer needs fans \ watercooling
That's exactly how I feel. They could fully film new characters that we follow as they go on a tour of Skynet and then insert this footage. Even when we go into be future with Arnold and John, we can cut back to those characters trying to escape Skynet. Would work so easily.
Seeing as James wrote and directed it clearly it’s canon… but to what? Can’t be canon to T2 because they stopped the war. Is it an alternate timeline? I assume where the T-800 didn’t die since this one is the exact same from T2 and has Johns sense of humour thanks to learning from him.
They stopped the War but John and Sarah forgot to throw the Arm of the T-800 which he lost with his Fight with the T-1000 which means that Skynet could still exist because they would have used the Arm again like in T2 and it doesnt need to be the same Model from T2 it could also just be another T800 which the future John Connor also reprogrammed with all the memories of the Model which was in T2 which would make sense
I know there were the sarah connor chronicles, however i think the terminator should become a show that retells the story of part 1 and part 2 with this as the basis of what a part 3 would look like, spanning multiple seasons like the walking dead.
“The Walking Dead” has been on waaaaaaaaayy too long??? You really would like to see a “Terminator” show that’s still going on strong all the way to the point where your newborn has already gone on to college??
Hard Pass. There's a reason the Sarah Connor Chronicles ended bud. Terminator is an amazing series but the longer you make a show about Time Travel the more likely you are to fuck it up spectacularly, look at Doctor Who. I like the idea of a Mini Series being released periodically. 6-7 episodes of a singular story in the Terminator timeline that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with John Connor or an Arnie-Bot. Collectively each mini series would be like an anthology of different stories of Survival, heroism and whatnot across different points in the time line, and also very rarely have time travel in it.
@@BaseballPlayer0Can’t travel through a Time Vortex with clothes on or anything metal. How did the Terminator ride a motorbike through it?😅 or How did John get back in the end with his clothes on.
I could have SWORN that it was a more cheesy male voice over who narrated the cyberdyne video at the beginning, not a female. Am I remembering incorrectly? He sounded like “movie trailer” guy kinda.
That's a machine, a non-issue. Trouble is the clothing - they should've been stark bollocks naked, but that would make it hard to recognize the character.
