I was a member of a small Calvinist church exactly like this... heavy leadership... they “expected “ everyone to be at the Bible study and after church meals... exclusivity... almost every point in this video describes the church I was attending
Exactly! Calvinism is a cult. If you try to call them out they just say "You don't understand Calvinism!" I hope Calvinism hasn't hurt you too bad. God is not the narcissistic tyrant that Calvinism makes him out to be.
Thank you. I think this is a very helpful blueprint that might genuinely help some people to get started in understanding the structure of what is so wrong with cults.
I've been quite fortunate that, even though I was sometimes willing to join a cult, something always seemed off... maybe the instant friends... So I never wound up joining.
Awesome vid. I was in a church cult (the ICOC or International Church of Christ) for over a decade. They fit every one of these signs to the T. I talk about my experience in the cult plus the spiritual recovery journey on my channel. I love the "insta-friend" wording as I have always heard it referred to as "love-bombing" but "Insta-friend" sounds more relateable to the everyday person's experience. I speak out because what a CULT is tends to be misunderstood and needs information like the one in this video to bring public awareness. The pushback comes from when people make the connection to these traits being bigger than just JWs or Scientiology or in my case the ICOC. It shakes their sense of security. But thanks for sharing.
i joined joined a cult in october 2018 brother api got me in who i didnt know brother issac is the cult leader brother nep brother bonnie brother andrew and 3 sisters elisa karla and issacs wife so 10 members including me this is what evil strategies they were using on me while i was there from october manipulation shunning backstabbing backbiting arrogance from them against me fear tactics mind control attempts that never worked cuz i control my own mind they were using all those things against me so 9 against 1 bunch of bullies for a number of reasons they only wanted me there for the hell of it and incase i tried to escape which i have for less than 2 weeks as im writing this
i forgot to mention brother jesse now i can take each brother down in a fight 1 on 1 more than likely so they know my weakness is more psychological and thats wat cults do they get inside your weaest psy point and attack it with watever weapons they can use there is no love in an occult i never saw it once there is no acceptance they are all god damn arrogant they all know where i live and wat my number is wat they are doing is illegal but if i attack each member brother member 1 on 1 beat the living daylights out of it they call the cops for assault so its a catch 22
This is exactly what every job is like. Theres always the boss and hierarchy and i really think working for corporations is extremely similar to being in a cult.
Hi Ryno. Not necessarily, a toxic work environment is a cult, yes, but hierarchy by itself doesn't make a group a cult. That would mean any form of human socialisation is inherently cult-like. Then again, I'm not oblivious to the severe abuse that often happens to people in companies. I've been mistreated at many jobs so I'm always cautious of which company I work with.
The number one rule which is not mentioned on this list is that the founders have lots of wives and concubines. If they approach you with this nonsense RUUUUUUN Forest RUUUUUUUN!
I got sucked into a G12 cult when I was a young adult. I still find it difficult to enter a church many many years later. It really messes with a person. Thanks for the video warning people of the signs
MandaB28 thanks for sharing this. I have a friend who was in the G12, vision. He doing okay now but what a struggle for him. I too was in a cult and took me a long time to get free and heal up. Stay safe🖖🕊.
lily of the valley - I went to Bible College and once I realized that G12 was a cult, I stopped attending and started making friends elsewhere. I highly recommend doing some research on cults and how they trap and control people and also getting some counselling. Cults are good at attracting those of us who are vulnerable due to childhood trauma. It’s not easy leaving but it’s so worth it. I wish you well on your journey.
lily of the valley - you can talk to a leader but I’ll warn you that they’ll likely treat your suspicion as a lack of faith and shame you for it. You’re not a bad Christian for thinking of leaving - there’s so much more to Christianity than their narrow and unhealthy version of it (I have a BA in theology). There are many lovely churches out there that don’t try to control their members. It’s important to lean on any social supports you have that are not part of the cult and be compassionate with yourself. Once you are ready to confront any abuse you may have suffered, find someone trustworthy to talk to about it. You’re not alone. There are many G12 survivors out there and some cities even have support groups. It gets better
@@MandaB28 shame you for not having faith? Faith is literally believing something with no proof. Its faith that should be shamed if anything. This is why I could never join any religion because of this stuff. Christians hate getting asked questions and act like you should just take it as fact and shut up or you'll go to hell lol
How about"you must be a member of and be baptised in this church to go to heaven".or saying the higher ups in that organization have power from God to ban you from Heaven if they decide you're not good enough to live in the Kingdom after death
You should never believe anything a human tells you like that, only God can do that Himself and He welcomes and loves all people, if you ask Him to save you He will never reject you if you keep trusting Him to be your God your whole life, He loves you, Jesus
Perfectly put I've seen with my own eyes and this is one of the best explanations I've Heard . Amen hope this helps those lost and finally sees the Truth cause I know some are so weak and believe anything
Hi Kelly. That's genuinely a difficult question as it comes down to the person, but the best way is to ask questions and to refrain from arguments, (not saying you are having arguments, obviously) and just gently question their beliefs. If you were there at the group and something made you feel uncomfortable, gently voice your concerns, question their behaviour if it's out of character or odd, but try to be as gentle as possible. Hope this helps. More info: freedomofmind.com
Kyle van Rensburg that does help a lot. I’m in a difficult situation as this person is not only my boss, but also I consider her a great friend. Increasingly more and more she will say things to me that make me very uncomfortable about the group she’s with and more specifically her group leader, who believes that the world is conspiring against us and that we are surrounded by spirits who dictate our behaviour... she believes that the weather is being controlled by the government to confuse people. As a lifelong skeptic and person of science, when she says these things it literally feels like I’m hearing nails scratch down a chalkboard... I just nod and smile but I feel more and more like she’s trying to challenge me with these beliefs and I feel like one day I may have to confront her if she keeps pushing these beliefs on me. How would you handle the situation if it were you??
The most important thing is to first take care of yourself and then try to help the other person. If she gets overbearing, rather establish boundaries and then try to help. I've tried to help someone out of a cult when they were emotionally abusing me and it only made things worse on both ends. Obviously, this is not what I'm implying is happening there as I don't know all the details but do take note if it sounds similar. :) Nevertheless, it's good that she's talking about her beliefs as it could mean that she's wanting to share them and knowing what a person believes helps a lot to determine how to approach someone. It sounds similar to the kind of things I used to believe in, but my indoctrination was a whole lot more severe. It's not impossible, however, to help a person out of it, so long as you keep your boundaries but maintain support and be open about what you believe in. I was surrounded by people who gently questioned my beliefs while painstakingly tolerating them at the same time and it helped a lot as to help me out of my cult of thought and to become a more reasonable and better person. So just being yourself and being the friend you already are can make a huge difference. Love and empathy do a great deal to unravel undue influence.
Hello bro, can you tell me where did you find "Loaded Language" concept? I don't find it in book "Combating Cult Mind Control". Can you please tell me which page it is on? Or which book? Or how you come to conclude that?
This is TRUTH. You are worthy with out the acceptance of these types of groups. Most are all well meaning, yet delusional. You can find GOD on your own
I had my suspicions about Luz del Mundo but now they have been confirmed. (Not like I’m involved in it, i just know a lot of people who are part of it)
I belong to the church and that is what I am starting to notice. I grew up in the church and a few days ago I found out something that has changed my whole world upside down. I am devastated. I believed in a "man of God". I trusted him but what I found out has completely crushed my spirit. The thing now is that I don't know how I will be able to get out. I am afraid to tell my parents. I am going to keep going to church even though I no longer believe in the church and the man that leads it. I still do believe in God but my whole life has been a lie. I wasted my childhood and my teenage years.
Sushii Usagi I just want to suggest that you will get out, and you will be able to help others in similar situations some day. The right time will come for you to make your move. Nothing is ever a waste. You have wisdom and understanding from having this experience, and it won't happen to you again. Cheers, and all the best! 🙂
It’s weird, I find in AA half the time it’s really caring loving people who run an organization with a lot of the appearances of a minor cult and the other half of the time you get people who really ressemble hypocritical christians. Whatever, if the good groups keep me sober then I can ignore the cult aspects cause they don’t hold any control over my life.
And Woah be to you who have the audacity to challenge a lie. I told the SF Preacher that Herbert Armstrong was not the only person on Earth that God would communicate with. He was a liar. So the Preacher almost fell out of his chair and tossed me out of the Church of God. I would burn in Gehenna Fire.
I put up a youtube video about Christain Family church Johannesburg. They have many of these signs. I was part of this church. And left because of the secure your salvation with your tithing doctrine. So deceptive.
There is also another Cult name Iglesia ni Cristo ( Church of Christ ) 1914 of the Philippines denies the deity of Christ and the Trinity, their founder Felix Manalo claimed he was an angel or messenger sent by God, they claim they are the only true church on earth and the way to salvation. they have many churches in the US and around the world.
Neither can I. I used to think, are we reading the same bible? Now I don't go to church at all. I still believe, but not through someone else's eyes. I've got eyes, ears and a Holy Spirit if my own. I don't even believe in any pastors, ministers etc. Why do we need an all wise man, telling us about our own God. It makes no sense.
I hate tgoughts suppressed. This is why i will never ever join a religious group. It is fun to talk to different kinds of religious people. See their view .But i do no not ever want my thoughts or opinions limited by others. Rather alone than being dictated.
I grew up in the Mormon faith, while in, I would have vehemently disagreed that any of this applied to that cult. Now that I'm out, I can say many of these are 100% true of Mormonism, all of them are true to some degree....but good cults disguise these behaviors so they're less likely to be recognized as the mind control cult they are.
Worship of Jesus is a cult. Obviously. No one rises from the dead. No one walks on water. No one works miracles or cures the sick. Jesus if he existed at all would only have been a Peter Popoff fraudster.
Cults only wish they had that kind of power. Lying against Holy Spirit is NOT tolerated! The problem with all you pseudo-intellectuals is that you think you actually know something.
@@Bankable2790 thank you. There is so much brainwashed pressure from addicts and non addicts that 12 step groups are the only answer to addiction. That's why I kept attending even tho I was mistreated and traumatized. The fear of leaving the group is so ingrained that I still am scared and I left it over a year ago.
I do not think this applies to all of them. Some are more loving than some churches, and my sponsor had insights into why I did what I did. This helped greatly. My current group gives me insight into my upbringing by 2 narcissistic parents.
I have to disagree-I been in a 12 step group for years, and the meetings I go to are very loving, no judgement, open minded. You probably had a bad experience. I live in the city, so the meetings are huge and they are all over the place. But, I can imagine if you live in a more isolated area some of those groups can be somewhat cultish. Theres this group in NY city called Atlantic Group, that group I stay away from as they seem cultish to me. The members and the chair person are probably what gave you a bad experience. But, the design of the the 12 step program itself is not cultish at all, but there are people that deliver a false 12 step message. Not much different from a false prophet, you just have to find where you fit, and I have a good ear for BS. So, if I sense a meetings leaders are overly preaching about what I need to do etc, that meeting isn't for me.
Sadly my elderly (the most common kind) parents are in the cult of trump. Almost everything you mentioned applies to trump and his supporters. If you say something against him, they don’t just argue ideology with you. They personally attack and try to wound anyone who seems to disrespect their dear leader. My father defended a lifelong “friend” of mine on Facebook who personally attacked me regarding something I posted about trump. A bunch of my friends defended me against the friend and my father not defending me and him agreeing with the attack against me. It was very hurtful. I feel like I don’t know my own parents anymore.
It's not a cult of "Trump' Belief in. Beleif in a ruler over us /authority is STATISM. If you both are even arguing about politics then you both are in the cult of Statism.
Some cults believe in hell, some don't. That's what I was trying to across at that point. Westboro Baptist Church most definitely is a cult and tries to scare people into believing their hyper-judgmental ideals, which I said right after that statement about JW and Seventh Day Adventists not believing in hell.
@@KylevanRensburg i am not quite sure it's necessarily "hell" exactly but rather more of a belief in consequences for going against the beliefs of the cult and the even illusive objective with the reward that's seemingly always out of reach the cult promises to offer it can refer to either a very exagerated & embelished notion that paints the slightest afront to the cult as a complete disaster or perhaps it refers to an actual lack of belief in hell which is something religious that keeps you on your toes a cult requires that a member only follow their rules, a lack of belief in hell specifically may refer to "don't listen to them, listen to me"
Wouldn't say its a cult but a false teaching and the leaders teaching that have not studied the Bible .again, people need to read and study the Bible, its not hard to see truths in there and then they would know if the doctrine is wrong or the scriptures taken out of context.also, hell is real, eternal punishment for those who reject Christ is proven in many, many scriptures thruout Bible.Christ talked about hell more than anything else in His short ministry

I speak out because what a CULT is tends to be misunderstood and needs information like the one in this video to bring public awareness. The pushback comes from when people make the connection to these traits being bigger than just JWs or Scientiology or in my case the ICOC. It shakes their sense of security. But thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot :)
Losing my religion kip Mckenzie?
Kip McKeen
i joined joined a cult in october 2018 brother api got me in who i didnt know brother issac is the cult leader brother nep brother bonnie brother andrew and 3 sisters elisa karla and issacs wife so 10 members including me this is what evil strategies they were using on me while i was there from october manipulation shunning backstabbing backbiting arrogance from them against me fear tactics mind control attempts that never worked cuz i control my own mind they were using all those things against me so 9 against 1 bunch of bullies for a number of reasons they only wanted me there for the hell of it and incase i tried to escape which i have for less than 2 weeks as im writing this
i forgot to mention brother jesse now i can take each brother down in a fight 1 on 1 more than likely so they know my weakness is more psychological and thats wat cults do they get inside your weaest psy point and attack it with watever weapons they can use there is no love in an occult i never saw it once there is no acceptance they are all god damn arrogant they all know where i live and wat my number is wat they are doing is illegal but if i attack each member brother member 1 on 1 beat the living daylights out of it they call the cops for assault so its a catch 22
And I need some sort of counseling too
Potter's House, The Door and Victory Chapel are all cults lead by Wayman Mitchell
How do you know that's true? I'm curious cause I was drawn back to the door last year. And they seem to be changing.
Christians hate getting asked questions and act like you should just take it as fact and shut up or you'll go to hell lol
excellent-i was jw for nearly 40 years--love your SA accent
It’s fine after you know. It’s the tactics as they all ride on, that blind you.
anything G12 vision related checks all these . RUN honey .
*thank you*
THANK YOU...
How about"you must be a member of and be baptised in this church to go to heaven".or saying the higher ups in that organization have power from God to ban you from Heaven if they decide you're not good enough to live in the Kingdom after death
I don't believe in water baptism.no foul spirit will touch me. I'm fine with the holyspirit baptism. Lol
@@godsownvictoria1380 I def have questions about the water baptism.
You should never believe anything a human tells you like that, only God can do that Himself and He welcomes and loves all people, if you ask Him to save you He will never reject you if you keep trusting Him to be your God your whole life, He loves you, Jesus
Many churches perform fake baptisms
Perfectly put I've seen with my own eyes and this is one of the best explanations I've Heard . Amen hope this helps those lost and finally sees the Truth cause I know some are so weak and believe anything
Man I’m pretty sure I was in a cult for 20 years (I’m only 25) 😰😰😰 my mother is still in it but it has every last one of these signs
Pray for deliverance?? How about pack your bags and leave.
If it was so easy people wouldn't strategize to get out. Cults can harass and kill you. You definitely need to pray for deliverance.
Iglesia ni Cristo for sure
Shincheonji is the cult
Please be aware
Very well made video. Do you have any suggestions to “low key” let someone know that you’re worried about them being in a cult?
Being a friend and gently but firmly stating concerns is a good way to help them.
Nevertheless, it's good that she's talking about her beliefs as it could mean that she's wanting to share them and knowing what a person believes helps a lot to determine how to approach someone.
Kyle van Rensburg wow, yes, you’re so right. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your insight with me!!!
Hello bro, can you tell me where did you find "Loaded Language" concept?
I don't find it in book "Combating Cult Mind Control". Can you please tell me which page it is on? Or which book? Or how you come to conclude that?
I was trapped in the Mormon Amished cults.
This is TRUTH. You are worthy with out the acceptance of these types of groups. Most are all well meaning, yet delusional. You can find GOD on your own
Sounds a lot like Crimson Circle and the St Germain Foundation. I just had one of thos people try to recruit me a few days ago
Another good video boet
Affairs run heavy in church dawg
Sound just like the witnesses glad I’m out
God cast you out from church because your heart full of demon
I'm glad I'm out of the Witnesses too.
Abe Michael wow 😲
I was in it for 28 years until God revealed himself to me!😊
Same here
Nice to know.
My question is what is the goal of corporate cult-ure? The only conclusion that makes sense to me is the preservation of slavery.
YT was not allowing me to post this link in my other reply comment. Trying again here. ua-cam.com/video/bP5sk5xp9WM/v-deo.html
So glad I left that cult. Stay away from offshoots of FCC.
Every aspect applies to dangerous man made climate change belief, particularly the abuse and censorship
Do you make videos on specific cults?
It’s weird, I find in AA half the time it’s really caring loving people who run an organization with a lot of the appearances of a minor cult and the other half of the time you get people who really ressemble hypocritical christians. Whatever, if the good groups keep me sober then I can ignore the cult aspects cause they don’t hold any control over my life.
As long as they don't claim they are THE ONLY ONES who can keep you sober. Stay mindful.
Good.
Anyone else here who needs therapy after ending up with religious trauma
🙋♀️
MAGA check!!! ✅
Beware Ai regardless, data cults and that using any for data and responses is big rn
Thank You
Can AA / NA be considered as a cult ?
I think alot of people are starting to see it's cult like for me I see some aspects of a cult but then others I don't see
According to the BITE model, yes AA is a cult. Was in it for a year.
Where did you put up the video. Are you talking about Theo Wolmerans? I was at The Bay CFC in Somerser Set.. I also left
There is also another Cult name
Iglesia ni Cristo ( Church of Christ ) 1914 of the Philippines denies the deity of Christ and the Trinity, their founder Felix Manalo claimed he was an angel or messenger sent by God, they claim they are the only true church on earth and the way to salvation.
they have many churches in the US and around the world.
Sounds like some MLMs.
MrJaydubb87 totally!
Crc church at boshoff?
Please please make one video like this in SPANISH to share with many othervpeople. Thank you!!
Large group awareness trainings.
They are a pathological liar.
Isn't sexual abuse, verbal abuse the devil's work? I can't believe church people who do these things think they are doing the lord's work.
They're not "churches" they are cults. There are really too many. More than the general public is aware of.
Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses is a cult. Thank you ACT, you described the JWs perfectly.
JWs are a prominent one.
Amway = cult
Reminds me of Ram Bahadur Bomjon's group
A cult is any organization which denies the Lordship of Jesus the Christ.
Worship of Jesus is a cult. Obviously. No one rises from the dead. No one walks on water. No one works miracles or cures the sick. Jesus if he existed at all would only have been a Peter Popoff fraudster.
Thank you for exposing who and what you are. I couldn't have shown you for a fool better than you did yourself.
Nonetheless the behaviour of Peter in Acts 5:5-10 reads exactly like a cult.
Cults only wish they had that kind of power. Lying against Holy Spirit is NOT tolerated! The problem with all you pseudo-intellectuals is that you think you actually know something.
Stephen Lacher or an organization that worships him a little too hard.
ibf some
(and) 11. Gaslighting -- Don't be fooled into believing the current @sshole who lives in The White House in 2019. (Trust yourself.)
Sevan Bomar.
I'm pretty sure all of these describe the democratic party....
12 step groups
Yep. Please leave if you are in one. Don’t look back. Those other people can save themselves if they desire.
Not my experience to be honest. 12 step groups saved my life and I come and go as I please🖖.
Both the 'pandemic' mob and the climate change 'crisis' die-hards meet most of the criteria here.
BINGO !! This needs more likes.... BUT you can see the power brainwashing has over people instead...
So do you believe in eternal hell?
Excellent points made - but incidentally, "Universalism" isn't "Evangelical. "
My YWAM experience... Lasted 4 years
Sadly my elderly (the most common kind) parents are in the cult of trump.
Sounds like any political side incl. Obama, Bush.. These are POTUS, not dictators. I guess no one told u not talk politics.

Ok Boomer
@@TurtleTimeVoiceOvers Gen X
It's not a cult of "Trump' Belief in.
Beleif in a ruler over us /authority is STATISM. If you both are even arguing about politics then you both are in the cult of Statism.

At 2:50 A belief in hell is nonsense. Why should a "lack of belief in a hell" be a sign of a cult?
Some cults believe in hell, some don't. That's what I was trying to across at that point. Westboro Baptist Church most definitely is a cult and tries to scare people into believing their hyper-judgmental ideals, which I said right after that statement about JW and Seventh Day Adventists not believing in hell.
@@KylevanRensburg i am not quite sure it's necessarily "hell" exactly
but rather more of a belief in consequences for going against the beliefs of the cult
and the even illusive objective with the reward that's seemingly always out of reach the cult promises to offer
it can refer to either a very exagerated & embelished notion that paints the slightest afront to the cult as a complete disaster
or perhaps it refers to an actual lack of belief in hell which is something religious that keeps you on your toes
a cult requires that a member only follow their rules, a lack of belief in hell specifically may refer to "don't listen to them, listen to me"
Wouldn't say its a cult but a false teaching and the leaders teaching that have not studied the Bible .again, people need to read and study the Bible, its not hard to see truths in there and then they would know if the doctrine is wrong or the scriptures taken out of context.also, hell is real, eternal punishment for those who reject Christ is proven in many, many scriptures thruout Bible.Christ talked about hell more than anything else in His short ministry
SDA. Cult!
Is Falun Dafa a cult
Sounds like the Bethel Cult...
