I have been watching Hartnell, to prepare for "the Celestial toymaker" on blu'-starting with "The Time Meddler". On "the Massacre" now -recon's, years back versions, episodes exist, and the college version of MttU. I have Toymaker now on blu' yet will watch it in a few days. Years back (time-wobble!!!) When WHO from the Sixties was shown on PBS, in my life of 1986,....after much Hartnell, leap from Time Meddler to The Ark, Gunfighters, War Machines -then jump to "the Dominators".....that was reality, then. To see animations in sequence, with recons' and surviving is a joy! The last time that I did a marathon of WHO, some were only on audio. I would agree, that DMP would be animated, in two releases. Some stories will be tele-audio-clip recons on Blu' sets. If the sets are to be finished, in a few years, they need to step up the animations, or release what they can. Some stories, like "Marco Polo" have a mass of photos -some like "The Massacre" have few. Rumors of returns, would be great if true,...time and film may not allow some returns of film. IF one is a long-term fan of WHO, you will likely buy the Blu' sets, before the technology is extinct.
Another great video I think about 5-10 years we might have all the missing stories animated We have come a long way since 2006 with the invasion being the first
As a completionist, we need ALL the missing episodes animated! As for 'The Dalek Master Plan', I'd imagine if they animate it, it would be done as a box-set akin to 'The Key to Time' & 'The Trial of a Timelord', split into three separate disks, disk 1 being Mission to the Unkown & Special Features and then disks 2 & 3 being Dalek Master Plan part 1 (episodes 1-6 & part 2 (episodes 7-12 ) This might sound a bit controversial, but perhaps Ai might be helpful in restoring the audio of missing stories that have poor audio recordings, etc. There is one particular 'lost' Doctor Who story or two I hope will get a special DVD release eventually, perhaps as a charity thing to fully complete classic-Who's DVD release collection... though this might be something else that might be controversial, I'm sure the-powers-that-be, might be able to do something with it to make improvements to it, and maybe a direct make a 'new-Who' sequel to this story, to add more parts to the (notoriously terrible, and considered to be the worse, yet rather it's fun) very short two-part story, they could add as a bonus 'Curse of the Fatal Death, along with other Doctor Who comedy skits... the story being... 'Dimensions in Time'... (Please don't hate me for saying this; yes, it's rather bad, especially if you take it too seriously) I'd love to see it get a DVD release finally.
The Savages seems like an easy one to do. The telesnaps did look cool... The Massacre had the Abbot, but not the Costello? 😅 The prices don't seem tocbe bad considering when a regular 4-part live action DVD had cost $20 or $25?
I find your passion for The Space Pirates very heartwarming and endearing, because I've always felt sorry for the underdog which it certainly is! I'd love to see it animated, do love a bit of space opera, and I make you right with Robert Holmes at the helm it can't be as bad as it's reputation, so you really should give The Power of Kroll a break too, right?! Lol 😉 Think we'll get a Season 6 Collection box set first though as there's no way they'd do Season 4 or 5 of Troughton ahead of 6 when 6 has got that MANY original surviving stories & episides. Pros & cons therefore as I'll lament the abscence of a Space Pirates animation; so you're not alone fella!
Never read the novelization, perhaps I should pick up a copy if you can still get it. I think all the missing stories will be eventually animated, because even when all the Collection box sets are out, even if there's just 3 or 4 say missing stories there will still be a demand and a commercial market for them; until there's no missing Classic Who stories.
Baffles me they resurrected the animations with underwater menace instead of wheel maybe they’ll go back to it with my suspected poor sales for toy maker
With regards to the Space Pirates, Underwater Menace also had a poor reputation but they animated it so you never know

Got the feeling the Dalek Master Plan will be the finale of the animations. If they get there.

I’m excited to see what’s next! Like the new 15th Doctor costume btw
@@AnotherScifiGuy me to as I’m loving the celestial Toymaker
@@AnotherScifiGuy thank you I can’t wait to wear it to the cinema next Friday
It doesn't matter which stories they animate I would buy them regardless.
Celestial Toymaker is a good step up from Web of Fear and can see 3D format suitable for Space Pirates…..Wheel in Space also a good shout
Smugglers or Savages most likely for first Doctor
I’d be happy with either

I'd love to see all the classics to be animated tbh 🤣
Actually hoping disney can make some of the books, audio oops and comics into animation at least

Love the space pirates, the novelization is a great read. Hope we get the animation one day.

Prowl….you seem to be mellowing a bit to Kroll 😂
Yeah, who spiked the shrimp scampi? 😂

You take that back!!!
I think 'The Smugglers' might be next or maybe 'The Wheel in Space'.
Id be happy either way!

yeah, you don’t make any sense because half of the crusade survives look on the lost in time box set
What? I am aware of that, I have seen those episodes, I have the list in time boxset (sent from a subscriber!) and the season 2 collection boxset.
I don't think they should animate Mission, the live-action re-creation was enough.
Personally, I agree
Myth makers not coming anytime soon….too many characters like Marco Polo
