In the Hallelujah's at the end of the song, Andrea is articulating the pure joy of having had a loving relationship with another person. As such, this is a beautiful rendition. I love the fatherly kiss at the end, so touching. Cohen would be proud. To see the full meaning of the song, see Jeff Buckley's studio recording. Another good rendition is by KD Lang at the Canadian Juno awards ceremony in 2005. At any rate, just one more arrow in Andrea's growing quiver of tricks. Can't wait for her to hit it big as the next Chet Baker (singing jazz trumpet player)!

Básicamente todas las participaciones o actuaciones que llevais a cabo son excepcionales. Todas tienen su momento, encuentro o magia personal, pero reconozco que esta en particular es sencillamente perfecta. No sobra ni falta nada. Si en algún momento estoy tenso -que son todos-, escucho/veo este Hallelujah y me recupero. Gracias.

That is Joan Chamorro, creator and director of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, and mentor not only to Andrea but to dozens of hard-working, talented kids. Some of these youngsters are on their way to, or already have, international careers as singers and instrumentists, with Andrea Motis leading the pack. Maestro Chamorro has been performing an invaluable service to jazz and to music in general.

Aparte de todo el talento que tiene dominando varios instrumentos y la cantidad de recurso vocales y sensibilidad, Andrea tiene dos valores fundamentales en la música :
honestidad a partir de allí, la capacidad de emocionar.
Particularmente tengo mi Olimpo particular con Miles, Evans, Coltrane, Wes, Bird ... me aburre mucho escuchar clones. Por allí hay una francesa clon de Billie Holiday y la prensa hablando de ella.
