    Sorry, but most of your recommendations are just bad, because most of watches in the video are mechanical. It would be much better if you presented their quartz counterparts, which are usually about 50% cheaper and about 5000% better, regarding quality. Quartz are more accurate, more durable, lighter, thinner... and don't need servicing after a few bumps on a doorway. I mean, you should be smarter than that. Mechanical watches today are practically useless.

      Absolutely, we just see it differently. Sure quartz watches offer impressive accuracy and low-maintenance convenience. But watches aren’t just about telling time. Mechanical and automatic watches have a charm of their own-they’re almost like living pieces, with a history and craftsmanship that makes them feel unique. They offer a different experience, one that connects us to traditional watchmaking in a way a digital display can’t.

      @@GedmisLaguna Sorry, again... But that's totally wrong. It seems you have some idealistic image about mechanical watches.
      - They are not unique in any way, there are millions of modern mechanical movements in the world.
      - There's no craftsmanship, nor artisanship involved into their production, they're stamped out by robots, in Chinese factories. Even most of so called elite Swiss in-house movements are produced there.
      - They just look like some watches from history, but quartz can look exactly the same (not talking about digital watches here).
      Look at that Militado homage... It's the same as a vintage Hamilton. There's no much difference.
      - There's no different experience when wearing a mechanical watch... Actually, I'm wrong. There are some differences. Compared to quality made quartz watches, mechanical watches are inaccurate, unreliable, fragile... They use an obsolete technology. But at least they cost more. xD
      Everything you wrote is just in your mind. Literally.
      Don't look at the world like a blind person. Try to be informed. Or continue paying the price for being uninformed. ;)

      @@damyr Of course, this is just my opinion, and I'm here to share it. As I've said, there's no point in arguing. The main idea is that watches these days are more of an accessory rather than just a device for telling time. You don’t actually need a watch when you can check the time on your smartphone or wear a smartwatch with many more features. And yes, many of these watches are what people call 'homages' to much more expensive models. Still, they look pretty decent in person, serve their purpose, and work well as accessories. Traditional watches still exist and will continue to endure for a long time. As well as the mechanical/automatic movements powering them ...

      @@damyr btw, what watch/watches do you wear or don't wear at all? What county are you from ?

      We all have different preferences :) It is more of a taste / hearth thing, rather than conscious calculated decision for most.

    That’s it for my recommendations this time-mostly based on personal favourites, but of course taking specs and prices into account as well. I hope you found it interesting and maybe even helpful. Please leave a comment about which of these models you liked or didn’t like, and feel free to suggest watches you’d like me to review in the future. You can find full review links in the description.

    Interesting list. I appreciate the alternate list of options, different than the ones being hyped by other channels.

    Nice selection. Thanks for sharing it. My favorite would be the Seestern qith yellow background, looks so good. Also like the miloitado model, looks very good on your wrist. The Pagani PD1790 looks rather weird IMO

    That "fanzhi" is really cool, I'm considering it along with the adiesdive in white.

      fanzhi is also one of my favorites. Well maybe if it could be slightly thinner ....

    The AddiesDive AD2066 looks good. A green or white dialwould be a great choice. The PD1790 pink peach? Looks nice but 42mm makes it a no, would be perfect at 39mm...

    • @GedmisLaguna
      @GedmisLaguna  3 місяці тому +2

      Yes the PD1790 is too large for this design

    Wow really nice reviews, and suggestions, I might use some 😉 As for the future purchases you were asking, my selfish 😀 recommendation would be ...which I would like to see in future videos, AddiesDive Ad2066 (black or light green); Pagani Design PO-1790 and of course Seestern (black/orange), hoping to see them here 😉 And once again great video, thank you 👍👍👍

    • @GedmisLaguna
      @GedmisLaguna  3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for watching. The Seestern looks great. about PD-1790 am still thinking, its rather large at 42 mm

  • @event4216
    @event4216 3 місяці тому +1

    Thank you for your selection! AD2066 white or grey would be nice as dials IRL look quite different from uninspiring product shots.
    PD-1790 has a big second hand and small seconds, that's quite unusual. Could become as trendy as Tiffany blue dial, I guess)

    • @GedmisLaguna
      @GedmisLaguna  3 місяці тому

      yes, that PD-1790 looks good, but I am afraid it's to large at 42 mm. And AD2066 already coming to my place ...

    2:10 If only Pagani would release this watch with a real automatic movement, even if it would be 3 times the price, I would buy it in a heartbeat…

    • @GedmisLaguna
      @GedmisLaguna  3 місяці тому +1

      I guess it's possible to use the Seagull mechanical chronograph movement, sure the priec would be like 3-4 time higher.

  • @lmbpros

    Thank you for the recommendations. I hope you can do the AD2066 and PD1780
    I love the AD2066 but the deal-breaker is no date/day 🥲 and it quite thin
    The PD1780 is nice with day and date but too thick for my skinny wrists
    Have you review SKMEI 1647? That looks like my next watch.
    Thanks!

      The AD2066 Mint color already coming to my place. The PD-1780 is still in the cart ... Don't have Skmei 1647 but I reviewed pretty similar looking 1123 model. check here ua-cam.com/video/oGENYDaSbCQ/v-deo.html

      Rolls Timi RT7904 with VH31 movement is pretty good, yet it's a bit too thick for a dress watch. Nevertheless its decent model.

      yes, the name of Chinese brands are rather strange and even awkward sometimes. IMO, the AddiesDive isn't worst. From the other perspective it's offers very good value for money. Check 'Tuna', 'Turtle' or other models. They feel very decent in real

      Thanks for your support. It’s perfectly fine to have a different opinion, especially since every perspective has valid points. In any area-whether it’s technology or a life philosophy-if we look closely, we can find both positive and negative aspects. Focusing solely on the negatives can be misleading. And calling others narrow-minded or technologically uninformed actually shows a limited view of one’s own. Respectful discussions, even when there’s disagreement, allow for a broader understanding and more balanced insights.
