Some synergies that you guys may wonder:
- Dr. Fetus: They do not have any effect on each other.
With both in hand, Isaac shoots bombs and still takes damage from their explosion. If he places bombs, he will gain damage bonus and will not take damage from their explosion. :D
- Kamikaze: They do not have any effect on each other. Isaac will take damage from Kamikaze explosion and no damage bonus. If he places bombs, he will gain damage bonus and take no damage from explosion.
Same with Ipecac, right?

2:57 The reason I believe the bombs are invisible is actually done on purpose. That's because if there were visible, they would appear for a brief moment just before exploding. Which I would imagine would come across as sloppy. Thus the modders made the bomb's textures transparent to combat that visual distastefulness.
So, when you use the remote bomb, due to their oversight of making the bombs invisible. The placed bombs are therefor unseeable but should work just the same as usual, minus the effects of the passive.
you are right.
They intentionally set the texture to invisible in the source code.
However, I think they should handle the case when Isaac has this and Remote Detonator, by setting the texture visible again.

Maybe some antibirth items will be unlocked this way
maybe a cool unlock for the keeper would be a slot machine item that would spawn the coins in the ultra greed fight that would help you in some way.
like for example three key coins would open all the doors in the room that isaac is in and friendly enemies spawn based on what floor you're on, or three hearts would heal half a heart each and give +1 dmg .20 speed for the room.
I Think the forgotten will have a Skull/Bone related item. So I guess it will be an Active Item who creates a giant skeleton to do things :3

3:00 The bombs are invisible because of how the item was coded. The author probably removed the detonation charge time (to blow the bomb instantly), gave Isaac self bomb immunity and removed the bomb texture so that it doesn't flash.

Maybe the item makes explosion from Isaac, skip the bomb texture. That's why detonator with this makes bomb invisible.

anyway, they should handle the case when Isaac has detonator in hand.

It's not actually capped at +2... Mathematically the sum of 2^(-n) tends to 2, it can never go over.

I don't think so, since the bombs spawned by the card/curse aren't bombs dropped by Isaac.
