I fucking love you please never stop making content
Bahaha thank you! I have no plans on stopping
I 100% agree thx for the vid
This isn’t a bad philosophy for life in general tbh.
Yeah I try to blend the two
Had a game few months back was my death guard vs my mates necrons. Was his canoptek court tournament list and I've only just started trying to get better competitively. Was by far the most frustrating and unfun game I've played in a long while. It essentially was me footslogging up the board getting bodyblocked and slowly dying. I only killed his wraiths and cryptek and he killed my whole army. HOWEVER I stuck at it, gritted my teeth as I know I am very prone to tilt but I stuck it out. Game ended 48-55 to him but was much closer than I anticipated due to me holding primary very well, in fact if I hadn't of forgotten his wraiths get infiltrate I could have blocked with my nurglings and only lost by a single point. Was a good close learning game and I feel much better about myself that I didn't quit.
That's a perfect example! Thanks for sharing. Sometimes a close hard fought game is more rewarding than an easy win as well
@BlogForTheBloodGod thanks for the video mate always appreciated. Keep em coming.
Couldn't agree more Dean! I see this all the time with players spiraling too early when things don't go their way. Attitude is everything.
It's so important
I definitely read that as weaponised autism
That's another video in itself
We play Warhammer. It's assumed.
It's simply called conditional probability, P(Y/X), where Y is the wanted result and X is the input. For example there are 16 random secondaries, but if you got a unit in the opponent deployment zone, you got a 1/16 chance, where if you cover as many secondaries possible, the probability grows higher and higher, until it becomes a Prob=1 to score points. So giving the right condition, choosing the best X, will give you more chances to win! Same thing goes the other way around, wrong choice lower more and more the chance for an event to happen until it becomes impossible. The placement of models in the map creates a X,Y,Z grid of probabilities and moving creates a vector of probabilities.
Understanding probability is such a massive skill
Just bust out the Sharpie
The way you understand this game is brilliant
Thanks mate! Love that I can share it with you all here
I love those axes you have on your wall!! They look incredible Thanks for the video
You are welcome mate, one of them was actually a trophy from an event I won
That’s not the same tism that pervades this community. 😂
Hahaha yeah that's a more potent form
It's funny that chaos magic, the movement from the seventies about reframing religious traditions into its usable forms, has a lot of overlap with positive psychology. Apropos lol, blog for the brain god!
This hit home hard. I play WE’s against my friend who play Tau and I’m like just like F this lol.
Just rev your chainaxe harder
"Weaponized Optisum" I thought you might be talking about me for a second.
Haha
Great content and philosophy as always!
Why thank you kind sir
This video was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I'm a fairly new player and I'm mostly playing against a friend who is really good at strategy and probability games. He's playing space marines and I'm playing sisters of battle, and we both agree my army has the higher learning curve. I just lost a game where we drew purge the foe and he had lots of heavy tanks while my army was a little light on anti tank. Turn 1 went so bad and I dealt no damage. In the end it became fairly close anyway, at least militarily. I got tabled turn 5 but he only had 1 tank and a few infantry models left.
I got really cranky during the game which I didn't even realize, but our games take a long time since we're new to this and I've had quite the losing streak. Had I had this attitude during that game I probably still wouldn't have won, but we both would have had a much more fun and interesting game.
I am feeling much more hopeful now as I do have a good faction (once you learn how to use it well) and our codex are coming out this summer so that should be quite fun
Attitude has such a huge impact on your enjoyment, and the more you enjoy it the more you play and the better you get!
Keep it up brother, a couple more tweaks and improvements to your format and I'm sure you'll break through. You've got awesome insights and honestly, the competitive chaos space is surprisingly lacking in content given how popular a faction it is. Appreciate it legend 🤘
Working on it!
I tried this today against some Orkz. Drew some shit secondaries in the first round that wanted me behind enemy lines, couldn’t get charges in, got hurt during the Waaagh! yet ended up winning 22-21. He resigned by the end of the third round since he only had two bikes left and half a squad of boyz that was tied up in CC with my Maulerfiend.
Well done mate!
Love the video and its message. The video could do with some simple animations or a top down view of units with what was going on with the battles you were explaining, it would be a lot more enjoyable I think.
And a reference to when you said it's not entirely luck. It was luck but luck is more useful to those who take advantage of the opportunities for it to arise, which you did perfectly. This is a bit nerdy but, In an Anime called Bluelock they talk about how if you were walking and saw a bird and walked underneath it, you would consider getting shit on by the bird unlucky. However if you saw the bird beforehand and decided that you should not step under it and its shit misses you, you have now used luck to your advantage and avoided it. being in the right situation to take advantage of luck is just as important as skill.
Absolutely man, animations, overlays etc all would be great! Unfortunately I don't really have the free time that I would need to be able to do that level of editing as I work 50+ hours and have so many other irons in the fire! I'll definitely take that feedback on tho.
As for the bird shitting on ya, that is so true. That's why I say it is not ENTIRELY luck, using skill to strategically manipulate scenarios shifts the results from being luck based to skill based
Working on getting a world eater army cuz they are the most fun to me while still having a shred of a chance to win the biggest hurdle for me is convincing my wife to let me spend the money already convinced her to let me get Angron but the rest might be difficult
Just remind her that every man needs an expensive hobby, some do up cars, some do drugs, some do hookers and some do Warhammer.... her choice
I feel like "weaponised optimism" is the Orks' main strength. Have you ever heard of a depressed Ork?
Exactly!
As a guy who loves painting, I feel like I won if I put an entirely painted army on the table.
Which is nice.
Haha yeah
I was chewing food as I listened to your intro and thought I heard "Weaponised Autism"
That's my next video
Love your videos. Please try to raise the volume!
Haven't had that feedback before, I'll see what I can do. Unless you mean volume as in release more videos?
I find I need to turn up my speakers more on your channel. Again, love the content. @@BlogForTheBloodGod
Nice collection
Thanks mate, about 15 years in the making lol
As a mostly blood bowl player i can 1000% relatywnie to this strategty
Hell yeah
Like your stuff, but that intro is unbearably long!
Haha fair call
Skarii from SkaredCast is a master of this.
Optimistic fella?
@@BlogForTheBloodGod basically the only guy who was putting up consistent results with pre Skysplinter Drukhari, so very. He stuck it out the whole nine yards.
Good video, cheers mate
Thanks mate
I love you D unit
Hahaha WTF are you doing here lol
Always watching wazowski
meanwhile in the background, I hear Chaos bike pass by at 3.40
Dude they went past like 8 times, I had to stop and start so many times
It's the doomrider
Great video! Thank you!
You are welcome mate
