I normally trade my truck every 2 years before its warranty expired. I will sit on this truck for at least 3 more years before I'll give in to these prices.
Agree…I wasn’t in the market or financially ready for a new truck but always wanted a 250…I went shopping and got a 2024 250 supercrew,6.8L STX package for 48k after rebates and discounts
Bought my 17 XLT F350 6.7 long bed, with xlt premium package, nav, heated seats, fifth wheel prep . 56k Did Katskin leather , spray in bed liner, led headlights, lariat wheels from CL, ko2 tires, aftermarket brake light camera Total of about 63k in truck. Last new truck i will buy. I thought this was a crazy amount of money. Had truck 8 yrs now and overall great truck. Previous truck 01 7.3 which was great all around. The 01 was superior in fit finish paint quality body hardware and interior. The 17 is superior steering, towing power, handling, and so far reliability. Miss my 7.3 overall though.
Currently shopping for my 12th superduty. Rising inventory is making it easier. Beware of the trucks sitting with a build date of June 16th or earlier, there is a bulletin to check the ac compressor before delivery. That will not show if the ac compressor will implode as most did it at 1000-2000 miles. Price your trades within a 500 mile radius. Should be able to get 10-15% off.
There's only so many folks who can swing a $100K pick up truck no matter how heavy duty it is! And the value will drop instantly the moment it is off the dealer's lot! Ford hasn't learned the lesson Stellantis is going through right now - no one is buying high dollar trucks or Jeeps!
Also, I just ordered a '24 Lariat Ultimate, and I ordered the 6.7, but I DID NOT get the H.O. version. You questioned this in your video. My reasoning for NOT getting the H.O., was/is because I need a 3/4-ton diesel to tow my trailers, but you CAN NOT get an H.O. with a 10K GVWR. I NEED a 10K GVWR to keep my truck/trailer combinations under CDL range, as I don't want to have to mess with getting a CDL. So, there are reasons that people do some stuff other than financial reasons sometimes.
recently took ownership of my 24 f250 lariat crew cab short bed standard 6.7, went with a custom order because there just wasnt anything close. wanted the 3.55 locking diff, with heavy axle upgrade (heavy tow package) fifth wheel prep, carpet delete, cab lights (not a deal breaker but rather had factory installed) and added the trailer camera, lariat package is just the standard package, and fx4 package. most of what was around had the standard option axle and commonly paired with the hitch prep, or found a few with the 3.55 but no the heavy axle upgrade. which was what mattered most. really didnt want to go with the chrome package for no more than you really gain. basicly took the build and tried to match the my 2011, of course the 24 has more options for the base lariat. and my 2011 has the chrome package and camper prep but didnt really need the camper prep. also has fx4, 3.55 locking axle, it didnt have the prep package but added aftermarket B&W, added my own cab lights, and it had carpet which was protected by weather tech matts that worked well but, went with the carpet delete, with doing a order. when i ordered my 24, the 25 ordering wasnt out yet as it was at the tail end of the 24s and they werent sure it would get picked up by the factory, but luckly it did. ordered it in september 9th and picked it up November 23rd. then took it back a week later to send to zebart for bed liner. as it was recommended not to do the ford bed liner as my dealer said it isnt covered by warranty, where the zebart is covered for life. But i did do a similar build to our 24 as the 25 and while i was able to get the price to be about the same, some of that was due to some of the stripped options that were standard in the 24 model no longer standard in the 25 which is kind of sad. and from other information you are almost better off ordering the standard 6.7 as the HO is only 25 more hp and 200 fb of torque. and both engines starting in 23 are built the exact same with a couple of changes, stainless exhaust to the turbo, the turbo is liquid cooled, and programming. as far as internals are concerned they are identical. at least thats what ive read.
@@CTECH-REVIEW thank you, so far ive been enjoying it. going with the carpet delete has already paid off with our current wet weather after bring our horses in. still plan to get floor matts to help keep it clean. still have to set up my aux trailer camera. the going with the heavy axle upgrade for the 3.55 is the way to go. as much as I like my older 2011 and of course my old reliable L99 7.3 powerstroke, the interior and (while more tech means more chance of failure) is quite nice. believe it or not it doesn't ride bad with the heavy axle upgrade either. but ill still use my L99 with air bags to do other work since its a 8ft bed and my other two are short beds. the 2011 im moving on to someone else who wants a cheaper truck and step into a diesel for the first time or whatever they need it for. I will say while price is a factory for most when it comes to dealers having a lot of inventory. I feel the other part is dealers around me seemed to go more to either full work truck such as a stripped down basic XL, or XLT. or a loaded XLT, Lariat ultimate package with sport appearance. some king ranch or platinum but mostly XL or XLT, and the lariats being standard but maybe a chrome package. either way the thing that seemed very uncommon was the axle upgrades. or tow package. unless it was a 350. there were also a lot of single wheel 350s around but just as talking to my sales guy he said its smart to go to a 250 with the upgraded axle because at that point its about 1000# difference between the 250 and the single wheel 350s if thats what you want to go for of course. I just feel that the dealers order more of either low end or more to the high end but don't really order them in mid to high range with options that really matter when your going to do work. I mean even a XL with towing in mind and upgrade it set up to haul with be a good seller to have on the lot with more basic options for those that dont really want all of the electronics. also a standard lariat on the lot set up similar to what i ordered would be a decent mid/ high end.
A big change that isn’t going noticed much is if you option a 2025 7.3 truck you cannot get the standard 10R140 TorqShift transmission anymore. You are forced to get the TorqShift G (10R100) transmission. My 2024 F350 7.3 Platty Tremor has the 10R140 transmission. That’s a big deal to me. Is the TorqShift G transmission less reliable? Probably not. Ford is probably chasing some efficiency gains ahead of the 2027 EPA standards. But I know my 10R140 is overbuilt for my 7.3 engine and I’m glad it’s in my truck.
I'm only at the 7:00 minute mark so far, so maybe you'll address this in the next five minutes, but they also took away a power-sliding (or even a manual sliding) rear window, as well as the tailgate top--side camera.
@@CTECH-REVIEW also, if I'm remembering correctly, Ford also removed the power tilt/telescoping steering wheel from the Lariat package, and might not even be offering it as a separate option any longer. I had ordered my '24 about two weeks before they closed the ordering banks. I was SO happy to find out that they going to build it instead of making me switch to a '25.
Talked to my super duty mechanic he said ford now uses plastics pans where they used metal lower quality components higher prices he recommended buying a 2022 best super duty to date
The only way I will get a newer Super Duty is if they can build it for me in a King Ranch trim with the analog gauges from the XL trim. I hate digital gauge clusters, they look ugly and I miss the analog gauges they offered on the higher trim level trucks like they did on the previous body style. It's stuff like that, that I will refuse to buy a new 24 f150 no matter how nice it looks if I ever had the money to.
I’ll keep my 2022 carbonize gray 7.3 lariat UP tremor with Carlie e-venture, mototech and Baja design lighting, fuel wheel’s matching body color, ridge grapplers, Factor 55 along with other features with sub 13k miles. Good luck with 2024-25 trucks. I don’t care for the 23-24 front end.
Price remains the same, also, lots of inventory means, prices are going down even if MSRP is up. What you are saying make no sense. Could you explain in one sentence using simple words ? Reason MSRP is up is to help dealers move 2024 out of the Lot. The move is wait the lot be full of 2025 then you will get a deal on 2024.

IMO , the GM HD trucks ride the best. I’ve driven f250/350 2019-24 with and without power stroke. Driven the same years of dodges with cummiesn and gas. If your driving 90% of the time without towing the ford and dodge straight axles will beat your guts up. The GM IFS is awesome.
For every Super Duty Ford is pay GM for its Patton for the side step on the bed and the side step on the bumper every Super Duty owner will be paying $400 automatically for the GM Patton side, step side step in the bumper.
But the problem is you're not really comparing apples to apples the base price of the truck you're talking about basically did not change how you option it out and what certain options require along with those certain options it forces you to get some stuff on the 25 that it didn't force you to get on the 24thI don't really think this is an apple to apples comparison if you literally chose everything and anything that you can get as a solo option without having to accept another option, I think the prices did not increase really that much. And on the lariat, you still get a telescoping steering wheel you just don't get power for it. No big deal.
Yes, if you compare apples to Apple four-wheel-drive trucks, the prices technically went up about $2500 when you compare the same engine in the secure code. But if you don’t include missing options in the price is only up a little bit.
Love your videos but you're missing the most important factor. The 2024 models that you see on that lot are only going to further decrease in price because the 2025 models just came out. Buying a 2024 now would be an idiots move. ✌️
Looks pretty rough. Shrinkflated packages. Lifelong Toyota guy that has been shopping Tremor Super Dutys, but I dont think I will be going with one after seeing these new changes.
as rough as it is all brands are being impacted by the cost of goods and inflationary impacts. It sucks, pick up a 24 while available if looking for a Lariat!
I’m going to sell my f150 for 37k and buy an older clean diesel from a salt free state. Can get a nice one under $30k put another 5k in it and have a really nice truck.
I went with the 2024 F350 Platinum before Ford ruined it. The 2025 display is hideous! The 2024 display is awesome! Ford is cheeping the 2025 model at the buyers expense. This was the first Ford I ever purchased new and will be the last Ford I ever purchase.
why do you need a Lariat or any of those overpriced packages? I built a basic arse XLT that I am ordering later this week. $62k. still a lot but damn, ya don't need all those extra packages in a truck. built it with crew cab, 7.3 engine, gooseneck/5th wheel prep, power mirrors, center console, spray bed liner, 8 ft bed and carpet delete. as basic I could get the XLT.
I typically go for it for leather seats with kids/hunting the leather cleans up better than cloth, plus resale typically is better when you go to sell with a Lariat vs a XLT. But I have owned more XLTs than lariats and been very happy with them. XLT is a high value truck!
@@CTECH-REVIEW I have 3 boys, they have destroyed the leather seats in our Expedition Max. it doesn't make that big of a difference to be honest. my thing is I only need a truck to be a truck. not my Expedition, thats why we got that vehicle. and I will have the truck for a very long time. age and mileage will kill the resale value on it lol
The biggest problem industry wise is that 4 years ago a brand new f250 had a Base MSRP for the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty of $34,035 and that was too much already. Today it is well over $10k over that. Why? Greed. It's just unacceptable. No one can afford these awesome trucks. They can discount them all they want, it's waaaaaay too expensive for a pickup truck. I will be driving my 97 powerstroke crew cab until I die. Mostly because I will never be able to afford a new truck.
I don’t disagree. I tell everybody I know if you have a good working vehicle don’t upgrade right now. Ride out what you have until you have. No other choice.
No one is talking about the quality going down after 2019, talk to any reputable mechanic and they will tell you facts. what we all need to do is let the dealers sit on all this inventory. The cp4 fuel pump is still an issue, has not nor will it be addressed as a good example, having extended warranty just means that your truck will sit at the dealer waiting for parts that have been plagues with "covid" quality which is poor! dealer mechanics will not be able to "replicate" the issue in hopes of sending you home with a poorly built, over priced pos. I will stick with my 18' F-350 for as long as I can, then i'll go for another pre covid vehicle.
These prices are insane. All the manufactures have lost it. When it is 20K more now, $60K, for a medium equipped F150 XLT that i bought in 2012, you lose people like me. All this extra stuff included a lot of people don't want. All the "if you want this option you must also buy this option" garbage. The high-tech engines that have issues like my ecoboost. LOL a $100K pickup truck give me a f-ing break!
I don't think you understand you just got through saying they've got so many trucks because of the price and you said the price is going up on the 2025 that means that there's going to be even more on the lot that's not selling, the working class people that buy f250s cannot afford to buy a new truck
Truck and car payments are met to keep the middle class the middle class forever. If you cannot pay cash for a new truck you cannot afford it. Debt is a sure way to guarantee you will never achieve wealth. Don’t be a slave to the lender buying a vehicle to impress people you don’t even know. The banks love debtors, think about it. Dealers love buyers who trade often, it’s a cash flow they can capitalize on.
Farley. Hey guys lets give less options and raise the price. Board. Oh thats a great idea Jim, our customers will never notice and keep paying us, cuz, well, were ford
The redesigned 2023~2025 SuperDuty’s look absolutely horrible and are very expensive. For the life of me I can’t understand why #ford is destroying the SuperDuty. @ford
Screw FORD!!! so now I have to find a USED 2024 Lariat SuperCab......... The Dumbness continues!! I thought they were going to can their CEO!!! and then they talked about more affordable pricing my A**!!
If people would stop trying to keep up with the Jones and hold out, prices will come down. Economics kids, if don’t buy supply piles up and forces them to reduce prices. But not 75% of people gotta drive around in a $90,000 dollar truck that they can’t afford to show status they really don’t have
Traded my 2017 f150 5.0L in for a 2024 F250 XLT FX4, I love this truck so far, only had since October but very happy with my decision!
Awesome! That's a great truck.
I purchased my 2020 F250 Tremor 7.3 new just before covid. Glad I did, I will probably drive it for another 10 years. These prices are insane.

Great comment and I have a video soon to talk about this!!
Torqshift G transmission only comes with the 6.8 if you option for the 7.3 it gives you standard 10 speed.
the 7.3 gets the 10r140 transmission. the 6.8 gets the 10r100.

I’ve been running the shit out of a 2016 ford truck vs overpaying for what they have to offer now. I’m thinking of buying a 2024 in spring of 2025.
Smart move. I hope 24s are around then. Take a look at video posting tomorrow!
Makes a lot of sense if you’re in the truck market.
Thank you for watching and your comment!
Talked to my super duty mechanic he said ford now uses plastics pans where they used metal lower quality components higher prices he recommended buying a 2022 best super duty to date
Thanks for the tip! That is good to know.
I’m not a fan of the current gauge cluster as well
Do you think that it's because they are pre order? After January it will go down
Its possible!
Feeling good about my 24 Lariat Sport 7.3. Got it for 67k. Although I would easily trade Glacier Grey for Avalanche.
Avalanche is going to look sick!
I was hoping the f350 2025 xlt would have push start button , I built a 2024 vs 2025 same specs it went up about 900-1000 dollars more.
Thats not bad for $1000 more, engine option alone was $1000 more to get 7.3 vs the new base 6.8l for 2025.
I like the fact the 6.8 is the standard engine.
Seems to be a pretty good motor. I just wish you got a discount for it.
Bought my factory built 2024… Lariat black out package. Don’t get the ultimate as I will do after market deployable boards.

Wait til next year.. it won't get worse after 2025. If not than ill just keep my 2014 tundra with 170k miles still going strong.
Keep it running strong!
Why would you want a 350 instead of the 250? On a tremor . Same axel same rear end same springs ..
Higher payload sticker on the door jam. Worth it if you tow a 5th wheel or gooseneck regularly.
Only one reason for increased legal payload

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. It's good to know what's changing in the 2025 model year.
@024 looks like the way to go. Could you give me the name and location of this dealership..Thanks
Yes Bob Maxxey ask for Josh W!
Maybe someone has said this already but I was told Ford has a $1000 rebate on the super duty’s now.
Yes and some regions get $2000!
I agree for ride quality. I think the GM heavy duty rides the best. Also definitely do to the independent front suspension design.
Dodge ? 🤣🤣🤣 Dude, Dodge hasn’t made a truck for nearly 15 years. Where have you been ?
Lariat sport non BAP was the best look offered in 24
I agree!
I can't tell them apart from an XL. Seems too bland with dark wheels too. No pop
Buy the 24 lots of discounts. And the max options
yes!
Where are there discounts? Right now there’s $1k incentive and I can find any dealer in Florida that will give me more than $3500 off sticker.
Nah brother I and 99% of America don’t need new vehicles. Dealers and companies can go out of business if that’s how they wanna treat customers.
It’s rough. Prices are wild
It’s rough. Prices are wild
Most people get the diesel not the gas
Agreed.
New to the Channel. What dealer you walking around?
Hey thanks for watching! I go all around the mid west doing videos. But this specific video was a dealer in howell Michigan
what dealer is that looking to buy a f250
Bob maxxey howell mi. Ask for Josh W
@@CTECH-REVIEW okay thanks
When do order banks for 2024 close?
like a month ago
They are already closed
What color did you get?
I have not ordered one
For every Super Duty Ford is pay GM for its Patton for the side step on the bed and the side step on the bumper every Super Duty owner will be paying $400 automatically for the GM Patton side, step side step in the bumper.
Wow that’s wild!
Your wrong
About what at least explain what I'm wrong about
Yes, if you compare apples to Apple four-wheel-drive trucks, the prices technically went up about $2500 when you compare the same engine in the secure code. But if you don’t include missing options in the price is only up a little bit.
Love your videos but you're missing the most important factor. The 2024 models that you see on that lot are only going to further decrease in price because the 2025 models just came out. Buying a 2024 now would be an idiots move. ✌️
Thank you for your comment, a lot of truth in the point around depreciation!
I agree I bought my 2020 f150 in mid 21 and got 12k off sticker
What is the name of the dealership you are at.
Bob maxxey

They can't sell the 24's so why would you think the 25's will sell when they will be even more expensive...
Great question!
I’ll wait for the prices to dtop
Thanks for watching!
What dealership are you at?
Bob Maxxey
Looks pretty rough.
Shrinkflated packages.
Lifelong Toyota guy that has been shopping Tremor Super Dutys, but I dont think I will be going with one after seeing these new changes.
as rough as it is all brands are being impacted by the cost of goods and inflationary impacts. It sucks, pick up a 24 while available if looking for a Lariat!
I’m going to sell my f150 for 37k and buy an older clean diesel from a salt free state. Can get a nice one under $30k put another 5k in it and have a really nice truck.
Right on! Not a terrible plan
Am the only one waiting for all electric f350 lol
I think that's still a few years away.
I went with the 2024 F350 Platinum before Ford ruined it. The 2025 display is hideous! The 2024 display is awesome! Ford is cheeping the 2025 model at the buyers expense. This was the first Ford I ever purchased new and will be the last Ford I ever purchase.
Enjoy your truck! Platinum is great
why do you need a Lariat or any of those overpriced packages?
Same with my 2001 7.3, these new trucks are way too much $$$.
I get it! It’s super frustrating! It seems to be common across all brands too!
Thanks for your comment!
I don't think you understand you just got through saying they've got so many trucks because of the price and you said the price is going up on the 2025 that means that there's going to be even more on the lot that's not selling, the working class people that buy f250s cannot afford to buy a new truck
I agree with you. Inventories will go up!
🤠🤠🤠🤠
Happy new year!
That’s some good advice! Thank you for watching and sharing!
Farley. Hey guys lets give less options and raise the price.
Board. Oh thats a great idea Jim, our customers will never notice and keep paying us, cuz, well, were ford
Well said!
The redesigned 2023~2025 SuperDuty’s look absolutely horrible and are very expensive. For the life of me I can’t understand why #ford is destroying the SuperDuty. @ford
Thanks for watching
The truth!
I can’t believe FORD got rid of the extra cab unless it has 8 foot bed!
Agreed!
You can't get a supercab 2025 Lariat any longer.
big bummer!
leather trimmed means the center perforated area is leather... that's it.. My 22 has leather trimmed... rip off
Good point!
I tried!
Thank you!
They cancelled my order after two months!
Nothing is going to get worst. Infact, it will get better if no one's paying for these overpriced Trucks !!
Thanks for watching!
Ford is pricing out its customers
I wish it was just Ford doing this. They are all doing this.
@ let’s hope for a price implosion across the industry
They can go bankrupt for all I care
Thanks for watching
Pretty disappointing this is the direction that ford is deciding to go
To be fair looks like Ram and GM doing the same thing
Pure greed.
Thanks for watching!
Hopefully trump will discount American made cars
Thanks for watching!
Screw FORD!!! so now I have to find a USED 2024 Lariat SuperCab......... The Dumbness continues!! I thought they were going to can their CEO!!! and then they talked about more affordable pricing my A**!!
Thanks for the comment
too expensive
Agreed!
Stop buying them, problem solved
Very true!
If people would stop trying to keep up with the Jones and hold out, prices will come down. Economics kids, if don’t buy supply piles up and forces them to reduce prices. But not 75% of people gotta drive around in a $90,000 dollar truck that they can’t afford to show status they really don’t have
Don’t buy it.
Thanks for the comment!
