Respectfully, you are wrong. Ford is not listening to its “young” customer base. I’m “young” and rock chrome on my Harley Davidson, F150 Platinum, and Explorer King Ranch. I haven’t carried a key since 2014 when I purchased my new Fusion Titanium. I use the key pad EVERY SINGLE DAY of my life. Ford is making some huge mistakes. Part of owning Ford is the ability to lock my phone and keys in my vehicle when I go swimming, cycling, hiking or any outdoor activity. Without that I should by a GM or Tesla product.
As someone from their "young customer base" I completely agree, I much prefer the bright chrome front end to all of this blackout stuff they're doing now. I also use the keypad on my 2015 F-150 regularly when I need to get into it and the key is still in the house. Yes there is FordPass, but then what if there's no cell service like up in the mountains? Removing the keypad is a bad decision.
Man, Cant believe they removed the key pad smh, That's one of the best features of owning a ford truck. After seeing this video I feel like they are going backwards..... (They really should survey costumers)
When you read off the things they took off the Lariat I said to myself, less luxery, higher price. I liked the Lariat because it was a nicely loaded, low end luxery model. Then you said it, quite a price increase for less stuff.
I remember when Ford did the same thing with the Fusion towards the end of its production, they removed the rear door lock/unlock sensors and removed rear ambient lighting as well as unpainted the lower rear bumper. Gotta love cost cutting
I guess ford will need to see tons of unsold trucks on lots before they get the message. Been by a ford dealer lately? F150s and Superduties are stacking up. Going to have to wrap 5 grand plus on the hoods to move out the 2024s. They have to wrap 20k to get me back in the door. Good trucks but so not worth the price and the depreciation.

Max recliner seats are great for people like hotshotters. They have a place to sleep in their truck while at a truckstop or anywhere they can find a place to park.
One tricky thing to keep in mind is that the power sliding rear window is still available on the Lariat at no additional charge. If you look at the list of options you will see "Rear (Backlight) - Power-Sliding with Privacy Glass and Defrost" and you can add it to the truck for free. I guess they just made it available without it for the people who complain it's more to go wrong lol.
I’m most angry about the massive price increase with the killing off of the digital keypad integrated vs a Chinese super cheap garage door keypad using a battery and good lord what were they thinking on eliminating the lighting in the back.. it’s huge help!
I couldn't agree more!!! I can fit a longer truck in my garage but love the Supercab layout! No one ever sits in the back of my truck, it's used for storage and supplies. I don't need additional area to haul more stuff.

They used to also do it in Lariat trim but nothing higher (and you could not get the Lariat Ultimate option with the Supercab. Also could not get the Tremor package with Supercab. It's a shame they are dropping the Supercab in Lariat trim....but I got mine in '24. So thankful! It would have been a tough decision if I would have only been able to get a Supercab in XLT trim, even with their $4,150 XLT Premium package that adds a lot of Lariat options. When I ordered my '24, I compared a Supercab XLT with XLT Premium and a Supercab Lariat and they were about $1,000 apart and the XLT still was missing a LOT of features, so I went Lariat. We use ours with a slide-in, pop-up pickup camper and trail drive it and there is no way I'd buy a Supercrew because they are 250" vs 238" (12" longer) overall length, 160" vs 148" (12" longer) wheelbase, and 53' vs 49.6' (3.4' longer) turning diameter. The Supercab turning diameter is already 5.6' more than my previous pickup so no way I was going with one that is 9' larger turning diameter. I thought about a Tremor, but those also only come in Supercrew. Plus, about the only Tremor feature I kind of wanted was the limited slip front axle, even though I really don't need it. The locking rear diff is plenty. As for suspension, take-off Tremor springs and Tremor rear blocks are plentiful, so I may add them. They give 1" of lift which will help a bit with the trails we drive, but I don't want more lift than that as we do narrow, tree filled trails and already scrape through the branches. Carli's shorter lifts (3") are nice, but too tall. Even if the Tremor package was available on Supercab, I would have bought good aftermarket shocks anyway, so no savings there. A couple hundred bucks for some take-off Tremor springs and blocks and then aftermarket springs and good to go.
I've been a Ford apologist for decades, from Texas to California , and seeing, hearing, and reading what Ford is doing with their vehicles, I'm very disappointed, I was hoping to purchase a new mid high end truck in a couple of years, I might have to look at the used truck market instead 😏

A stick on component for a dealer installed option. Ludicrous. That’s been what set Ford apart for years. They’re cheating out on incredibly annoying items. They made a big deal of the gate down camera, then take it away! Also, available for a year, which means a subscription service. I will not do that. EVER!!! If I’m going to spend $100k on a vehicle, there is no way whatsoever I’m going to pay a subscription on top of that.
I was considering going back from General Motors to Ford for two key reasons, the keypad and the backup camera and the top of the tailgate. F Ford!! they’re really screwed.
Regarding changing Lariat to synthetic rather than leather, I prefer that. Synthetic typically holds up better than leather without all the leather cracking and aging issues. The main issue I have with loosing the electronic adjustable steering column is that it will no longer adjust to the saved driver settings. So each driver will have to manually move it and then other drivers will have to manually move it to get it in the right place. Not quickly repeatable. My wife and I each have a setting in my '24 Lariat so push the memory button and the seat, foot pedals, steering column, side mirrors, stereo, etc. all go to the saved settings for that driver. Manual steering column removes one benefit of that feature. Glad Pro Power Onboard is an option, rather than standard, on the upper trims. If I knew what I know now, I would NOT have ordered it on my Lariat. It dedicates one of the two alternators to the 120v inverter because it's 24v rather than 12v. That means you only have 12v power from one alternator (even with two 12v batteries).Had I known that, I would not have optioned Pro Power so I would have had two 12v alternators and then wired up a 12v to 120v 2000 watt inverter if I needed 120v power. Also, since the alternator and inverter are 24v, there are two small 12v batteries, wired in series to give 23v, by the inverter. So, two more batteries to eventually wear out and need replaced. How are they getting away with TPMS being a dealer installed option? Thought that was required by law? Maybe not. Most interesting thing is the Lariat MSRP went up over $2,000 yet it seems to have had the most options removed (leather, power-adjustable steering column, keyless entry, rear seat ambient lighting, TPMS, etc.) So glad I ordered and received my '24 Lariat Supercab when I did. Only thing I like for '25 is the Avalanche Gray colorway which is one of my favorite Ford colors right now and I would have ordered that color rather than the Glacier Gray Tricoat metallic. I really like the Glacier Gray, but like the Avalanche Gray even more.
@@freedomliberty7611 In my experience the synthetic does age better than leather, but then, there are all different qualities of leather and, I presume, also of synthetic. Large part of it has to do with the environment and use, and likely even quality within a batch if a bad batch was given. Would be interested in hearing what conditions your vehicle is put through (extremely hot region, used on job site where things are set on the seat or getting in and out with toolbelt or things in pocket, etc.). It should last through all of those things, but maybe defective so did not? Have you talked to the dealership about it? Everyday use should not wear out a seat on a two year old vehicle. What is the year make and model?
you can tell how much he got paid to defend ford for these new changes. "OMG LOOK HOW COOL THIS NEW SECURITY PACKAGE IS" and oh btw it's only good for 1 year!!!!!!!!!!
I have a VIN # for a 2024 XLT F350 Supercab. Ordered 09/26/2024. I have a golden ticket. Dodged the decontenting of the 2025's .I Will save over $3000 dollars.
Considering that ford has lost billions of dollars because no one is buying their lightning truck, it’s not surprising that they are charging more for less and the lariat was a nice introduction into the luxury end of the spectrum without having to go overboard on the price especially if you’re on a budget for a good daily driver and work truck
Same with my '24 F-250 Lariat! Well, to clarify, you can still get Supercab F250 and F350, but only in XL and XLT trims. No longer the Lariat like mine. Lariat used to be the highest trim for the Supercab, but now it's XLT. We use ours with a slide-in, pop-up pickup camper and trail drive it and no way I'd buy a Supercrew with a foot longer length and around 5' wider turning diameter than my Supercab. I wanted a Tremor, but those also only came in Supercrew. Not worth it. I'll put Tremor springs and block and good aftermarket shocks on mine if I decide I need the clearance for trail driving.
Platinum lacked suede headliner, Limited did… did that get dropped altogether or available in Platinum Plus. Happy I ordered my 2024 F450 Limited… took 10 months to arrive but worth the wait after seeing 2025 getting stripped down a bit.
I don't understand getting rid of Iconic Silver, that was the color we were going to order. We were going with the Limited but didn't really like interior color but the Platinum Plus pkg smoked truffle is very nice. Now to find a color to settle on. BTW, what is invoice pricing and how does that relate to sticker MSRP?
Want a heart attack? Add the B&O sound system to an XLT. It's a $9,000 upgrade! Also - no more adjustable pedals in the XLT trim. That's just sad. Oh, no more power seat on the passenger side in the XLT either. What a joke.
Leave it to Ford to cut their owns costs and up charge the customer and give them less. Covid gave them a way to cut features and they havent stopped since. I have a 22 platinum with all the good features that should come with it and I still feel like they went cheap on some things…
My 14 silverado has began to rust ALOT. Rocker panels , bed fenders, and frame showing alot of rust. I really liked the truck. But, body didnt hold up well at all. And i take extremely good care of my vehicles. Im trying a ford F250. See how it holds up. Time will tell.
They jack up the price for their most popular trim level for those wanting a bit more. Then they remove the leather, fully recline seat option and pro power onboard, key pad, and power steering wheel adjustment. Deliberate attempt to push people to the upper model and suck more money out of them. Things like these kill a good thing in the name of diminishing choice. No chance I'll buy a 2025 now.
Active X splits at the ventilation holes and seams a lot easier than leather. Look at Axtive X areas on leather seats and on all active x vehicles. After 30000 miles they start showing damage on some… not all vehicles.
Does anyone know why according to Ford's website, the 2025 F-350 Super Duty Single-Rear-Wheel with a 6.75 foot bed and Crew Cab is only said to tow 24,000 pounds max conventional towing, that is only 2,000 more pounds than a F-250 Super Duty with the same dimensions?
As a dealer you should know that the Bronco has had the stupid stick on entry keypad since it came out. How could you not know that? By now you should also know if and how the battery is changed.
Very disappointed with the elimination of the keypad lock. We travel with animals, so when we stop somewhere I can leave the truck running and locked. Will I still be able to do this without the keypad lock?
DId Ford address the problems with the ten speed transmission ? Did they make any changes to the 7.3 gas V8, to address the camshaft and lifter failures ? I love the SD, but, I'm not gonna spend that money on one, if I'm gonna wind up bringing it to the shop repeatedly for problem after problem after problem.....
The key pad is one on my favorite options. Sometimes I want to be able to have no phone or keys on me. I will now make sure to buy a 2024 or older truck. Horrible decisions by Ford.
PLEASE HELP ME 8' Tall Man. In 2025, if I order a F250 Platium Tremor, does my Wife still get her "Massaging Seats". I do not see it listed on the build site.
Happy to help! If you ordered a Platinum it will come with Multi Contour Seats. BUT if it says anything like “MCS removal” or “Multi Contour Seats Removal”, you need to contact your dealer.
Making the “pro power” or whatever it’s called only available on king ranch and platinum models is silly to me. Why not make it a option for base models, which are found on a lot of job sites
Damn..my Platinum is going to cost me $6,500.00 more just to get the same things a 2024 has..had. Been looking for a 2024 for a couple months now and unable to find what I'm looking for in a Black long bed. Looking at ordering a 2025. I'm kind of upset about it not having to exterior keypad. I really liked that feature.
Ford should send surveys out to customers to find out what they want. I am under 40 years old and I hate the black wheels and black out packages. I like chrome and if I want to pay for it, then Ford should offer it. It’s probably just a way to cut cost and copy Chevy. They should give you the option of choosing tires when you special order.
Blackout grill is cheaper. Many of us prefer chrome. Im glad i just my F250 With the normal chrome grill. That overlay they added to the grill is too much in my opinion.
I really wish they’d add to cab chassis trucks that we upfit with service bodies the ability ability to add heated steering wheel, heated & massage seats like I have in my f150. I have a f350 with a plumbing hvac service body on it and I could not in any configuration get it with heated steering wheel. As a hvac plumbing contractor in New England. I’m out in freezing temperatures fixing heat & frozen pipes. I’d really like that in my F350 cab chassis.
I like chrome and is sad it keeps getting harder to find it on the TRUCK. These are not luxury sedans. We work in and with them. All one color is bland and not appealing. No key pad is not a good move. I use mine daily. Not sure of the direction. F series may not stay on top at this rate.
I hate to say it. But Ford is not listening to there customers. Driven by union and profits. I’m glad I ordered my 24 250 lariat with leather and a keypad.
Coming to the 2029 models. Seats are removed and replaced with 5 gallon buckets, and wheels and tires are a dealer installed option.

Maybe not.
Most interesting thing is the Lariat MSRP went up over $2,000 yet it seems to have had the most options removed (leather, power-adjustable steering column, keyless entry, rear seat ambient lighting, TPMS, etc.)
So glad I ordered and received my '24 Lariat Supercab when I did. Only thing I like for '25 is the Avalanche Gray colorway which is one of my favorite Ford colors right now and I would have ordered that color rather than the Glacier Gray Tricoat metallic. I really like the Glacier Gray, but like the Avalanche Gray even more.
Wrong. I have active x and it is already cracking and has 2 mysterious holes. 2 years old. Some people always say the fake is better than real.
What about the LED lights on the KR??? Are they putting them back on that trim??
Looks like KR will still have LED reflector
Lariat loses the most and gains highest increase... WTF
Lariat is being discounted and changed to a trim level called Active in either 2026 or 2029 is my prediction since they did it that way on their suvs
Wow looks like I’ll keep my 2019 Lariat as long as I can and going looking for a 23 or 24 when the time comes
Get a 2029 ford should be sorted out by then
Are massaging seats standard on 2025 Platinum and King Ranch?
I got news for you all these changes are to save money and still charge you more
you can tell how much he got paid to defend ford for these new changes. "OMG LOOK HOW COOL THIS NEW SECURITY PACKAGE IS" and oh btw it's only good for 1 year!!!!!!!!!!
I have a VIN # for a 2024 XLT F350 Supercab. Ordered 09/26/2024. I have a golden ticket. Dodged the decontenting of the 2025's .I Will save over $3000 dollars.
iy you dont have a build date yet. it might get moved over to a 2025 model.
@@chrisseglem3300 A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a guarantee that it will be built and as a 2024 model. Scheduled for the week oh 11/18.
Considering that ford has lost billions of dollars because no one is buying their lightning truck, it’s not surprising that they are charging more for less and the lariat was a nice introduction into the luxury end of the spectrum without having to go overboard on the price especially if you’re on a budget for a good daily driver and work truck
Is there no sunroof as well on the lariat now??
Do they now come with TPMS on 450?
Question in 2025 are they coming back with the excursion?
I guess my '23 SuperCab/short box is now a collector's item 😁
Space silver is the new color replacing it for 2026 but still sucks 2025s don’t have a silver
Asking.. why have a keypad when you have a keyfob to lock, unlock?
I definitely don't like the 2025 changes!
I was holding out for the 2025. This is disappointing for me.
Want a heart attack? Add the B&O sound system to an XLT. It's a $9,000 upgrade!
Also - no more adjustable pedals in the XLT trim. That's just sad.
Oh, no more power seat on the passenger side in the XLT either.
What a joke.
Will it have Blue Cruise?
Leave it to Ford to cut their owns costs and up charge the customer and give them less. Covid gave them a way to cut features and they havent stopped since. I have a 22 platinum with all the good features that should come with it and I still feel like they went cheap on some things…
This is one of many reasons why im going GMC.
Still driving my 02 Silverado, no issues.
I'm sorry but farley needs to apply at Duncan donuts 🍩
6:01 the A pillar!?!?... Try B there big guy 😂
Im be keeping my 21 f150 lariat.. use to trade in ever 4 or 5 years not anymore
The seating colour Ford or admiral blue to the tans very nice Ruby Red was great on the Mark 8 LSC body colour grill some chrome was ok
I'm going g to take another look at the GMC Denali, all my trucks have been Fords but I may have to switch over in 2025.
I’m done with Ford. This is crazy.
This is just another reason why I plan on driving older vehicles.
Old as in 2017-2022s until ford gets this worked out
@@JoshuaOverman no, more like my 93 ranger for my daily.
just got a 24 250 xlt 6.7 and loving it
The terrible Chevy bed steps bother me so much, hate it every time I see a super duty
Just built one online. Lariat build as close as possible, 4k more than the 2024
4k more but it has 4k less options then the 2024 offers 🤡
My last 3 lariats have had black tow hooks....including my current '24.
2022 was the best one, just my opinion.
Remember when vehicles were affordable? I’m sorry but 100k for a pick up truck is insane and people actually pay that🙃
They have had that funky keyless back In the early 2000 or before. Used to put them on mercury sables that base models
That stinks that they got rid of the super cab. Not everyone needs a four door truck, there just getting cheep at hell!
Paying a lot of money for fake leather seats smh
Sounds like the lariat is going to be a xlt plus lol
I’d really like that in my F350 cab chassis.
what's hilarious is just having something black should be cheaper, not more expensive, chrome is usually more expensive. make that make sense
What's funny about getting the blackout edition is you're paying $2,000 more to get an XL put on a lariat, these young kids don't understand
Shrinkflation - Platinum is same price w/ less features
I like chrome and is sad it keeps getting harder to find it on the TRUCK. These are not luxury sedans. We work in and with them. All one color is bland and not appealing. No key pad is not a good move. I use mine daily. Not sure of the direction. F series may not stay on top at this rate.
As a loyal Ford owner I can't believe the stupidity
I hate to say it. But Ford is not listening to there customers. Driven by union and profits. I’m glad I ordered my 24 250 lariat with leather and a keypad.
