- 90 minutes of audiophile metal detecting experience with XP DEUS during an awesome relic hunt at previous “silver spot”. I decided not to quit this wonderful hobby, return to the silver forest and face my demons. The goal was simple and yet pretty ambitious - no mistakes!
I came better prepared this time. I switches the speaker from my last hunt and replaced it with another model that served me well over the years. It worked, I was very pleased with the audio, which probably had an impact on the recovery of some finds. The speaker was smaller but the audio had more nuances. Since audio is king, that’s the right way to go.
I was able to make a few very nice finds from the 1600-1700’s era that day. A thimble, buttons and a thin, old silver coin, this time in one piece! But the highlight for me came in form of an artefact that resembles a small (“Egyptian”) figurine. It could be very old, like “Roman old”.
After 7 GPS worthy items I decided to quit as the metal detecting Gods were very generous to me. Can we call it redemption?

Thank you Wendy, this is probably one of my favorite forests. The pine trees are awesome and the air they produce are giving me an energy boost at the end of the day.
There is an even nicer area behind the path where the biker appeared. I'll try to get there next time.

its crazy how you know the Deus so good you can call out the Fox medicine ,, and call out the tiniest targets too,, great job buddy... no musket ball drops in this vid haha,, that Roman or Medieval find was wicked
Hello Ray, thanks for your comment! The audio of this detector is really telling. I just purchased a few more (high quality) speakers and hope that after some testing one of them offers even more audio nuances.
The one I'm using now is good, but very small. The previous one I took from my Macro Racer 1 was bigger and appeared louder, but I don't think it was as good as the current (older, smaller) one.
Should something change for the better, I'll try to make a video about it.

Hello Dave thanks for asking. I'm slowly trying to get back into the metal detecting rhythm.
The leg needs still surgery as the titanium plate with screws is still inside and was supposed to be removed long time ago. I just never felt like I can handle a hospital visit and avoided it at all costs.
It's probably not very smart and hopefully there will be no consequences.

Thank you Wayne, I haven't checked, but I can only assume that such coin isn't really worth much to collectors. My guess would be a few dollars at best.
