5:55 If you are wondering, usually it doesn’t lag like this and just works smoothly
Yeah its because it was a replay.
its just a replay artifact, i think they do it to save on the file size
@@pancake5830 Actually it’s just because the replay was recorded in real-time but played back in slow motion, but there is no physics data recorded for that many frames
@@rccookie6202 very informative!
@@rccookie6202 if you play in slowmotion when you record it does look good if you Watch it afterwards
BeamNg is just awesome. We use it in often in testing our low latency high speed motion systems. No one else outputs 2000Hz physics data. No one. ;-)
Is that actually true? Tell me more fascinating things about how you use BeamNG pls
I was looking at your DK2 systems so I assume these offer realistic feedback?
@@NathanChisholm041 we are always at the mercy of the software and available telemetry. But yes we do not do motion effects or exaggerated motions. In short we only replicate what we can replicate and we do it well. Motion integrity. 👍🏻
@ Ive got a modest setup atm and have been looking for something like and it looks well made. Cheers mate...
@@NathanChisholm041 modest setups are best. Easy to jump in, run and have fun right away without too much fiddling. This also requires the ability to filter out and choose just the best base tools... ;-)
With the newest update the force feedback is even better and the graphics are finally up to date and look fantastic.
it feels like tech demo what future racing sims would be like. Its shame that car manufacturers dont want to see their cars getting thrashes tho
that's some small willie energy if you ask me
@@tannerharcus8833 you think they would want their cars to be in the game so they could be like "Look at how safe our cars are!"
@@jammygamer8961 making a car safe in most of the scenarios presented in this game is nigh impossible
@@splatnt1081 "Car won't survive being dropped with sun gravity on. 0/10 won't buy"
Now the modders need to step in and bring us real life cars with real life accurate specs. Please modders do your thing!
BeamNG is such a good sim. As someone who has been playing it for years with over one thousand hours, I can confirm, it never gets old or boring. The devs keep adding amazing updates! Also, the slow motion isn’t that laggy, it’s just the way it was filmed, if you record a replay and then play it back in slow motion it looks like it is shown in the video, but if you crash it live with slow motion it is smooth. In my opinion, nothing competes with BeamNG.
i have it on steam with over 5000 hours clocked in and im still getting new ideas on what to do! the game does not often get updates, often once every 2 or 3 months for any major ones, but theyre always worth it! each major update always packs in a whole ton of new content, sometimes even being new cars to screw with, granted you get one car an update, sometimes none, but just one car can go a long way
Beam is in v0.23, imagine what v1.0 will be. It already gave me more fun than any game or sim at this point
surprise the update was great!
You forgot to add that you can fiddle with lots and lots of internal parts of the cars and make whatever setting you'd like to drive!
It basically has everything that's striped from arcade racing and makes it 10 times better. To me it's the Arma of racing games. The more you get into it the more it offers.
5:25 bro this pissed me off LMAO I'm glad u showed us the crash after
A year later, *big* things came to BeamNG, mainly Graphics and design wise. PBR, Blur, And redone textures have been implemented. and on my graphics maxed, i managed to get a lot of pictures that fooled people.
I dont know if its mentioned, but BeamNG does also support Air and Sea vehicles, thanks to how the aerodynamic systems implemented (And some modding trickery to make it stable)
Waiting on that VR support : P
your pc will catch on fire and explode
It already has head tracking support and triple monitor support. Boosted Media did a video with Beam on a triple monitor motion platform sim and it was far better than any traditional VR setup as far as I'm concerned.
you are here (0.23) -> full PBR + proper Vulcan implementation -> VR
BeamNG is awesome I would recommend getting automation with it as they work together and you can create your own car and your own engine in automation and export it to BeamNG if your a car nut it's just awesome and fun but they are both in early access so just keep that in mind and you will have fun
You missed the one of the biggest part ! the multiplayer mod ! it is so good there is really no lag at all i do rally racing in the utah extra servers if someone wants to know
Everyone who owns this game obviously loves it
Amazing sim game 100% recommended plus you can mess with gravity which is cool as heck
metaverse is just this, having a car but also not just for race, for do stuff outside of the track, just turn arround in the downtown
I love it, even when it loads slowly for me. Once loaded, it's A-OK! (ASRock B550 PG Velocita, Ryzen 5 5600X, (Vermeer) 32 GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo, Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6750 XT, Western Digital Black SN850 1 TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro) (The system RAM is set to 3600 with Fclk at 1800 MHz) (2133 sure felt like it added more lag in the past, with my previous Ryzen build) (Setting it to 3000 via XMP on the Ryzen build before this one, the MSI B450 Tomahawk, Ryzen 7 3700X and Corsair Vengeance LPX that's rated for 3000, made it seem snappier! The Fclk on the Matisse (3rd-gen Ryzen) was at 1500 MHz)
I might as well add one more reason :
If you like creating cars from scratch, BeamNG has made a partnership with the game Automation which allows you to build your own cars from scratch and then, export them in BeamNG and drive them! 😍
Also you can build your own car in automation game and drive it in beamng
Ok, definitely getting this one on sale
it's worth it's full price, trust me. Yes, fanboy here
@@Oskier94 Not to mention that even on sale it's usually only about 15% off. Which I understand.
Yep, ill get a new computer because my old one runs on a rock
And this vid came out a year ago so the game has had a bunch of updates since then so it looks better and there's more things added too and even more things in the future to come!
With only a few more features Beam would be the ultimate rally sim.
gr8 video! :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Wish they would merge with iracing for a insane racing sim
Beamng drive may be not everyone's cup of tea, but hell it is mine
Had beam for years, absolutely unmatched sim game.
1:26 mmm tire p h y s i c s
but its just E P I C
that happened because it was a replay, they cut corners to save space on save files
I believe that Zuckerberg intends to buy all of the most popular sandbox simulator games and have the meta team put them all together into a virtual reality life simulator.
I gave it a try, but my computer doesnt agree......
the only thing for me is how there is no realistic downforce
third.
What if Beamng drive was a Must play não racing game ?
The best pc for BeamNG.Drive is:
AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX or 5995WX
128 GB of DDR4 ram
RTX 3090 TI
steering wheel
8K 144 Hz monitor
beatiful r g b
Cool story
What’s the first game (at 0:00)?
That's Assetto Corsa :-)
Never i prefer it to be a car game realistic driving, Racing ofc car crashes and cop chases but NOT only Racing
unfortunably 95% of the beamg players are teenagers passing theirs times crashing anyhow. just like in a sandbox to do anything. I was very disappointed by this.
Beamng can do much more
Well, BeamNG is a sandbox so why not make your own fun?
@@NicOz42 i agree but i think it's like playing at "burnout' on "asseto corsa"
I just hotlap the Nordschleife, it's a lot of fun in BeamNG.
The sim is also made for rallying and driving on Pikes Peak is one of the coolest experiences i've ever had
yeah but its not as calculated as well in games such as pc2 or ac1/2. The forcefeedback is vague your better off site driving your car, the only thing beamng has on other sims is soft-body.
The thing about beam that it's still updating
@@npc_citizen9276 yeah, i just dont like how people treat it like its THE most realistic when its hardly close in driving model. I am very excited and hopeful for the day it is. The new supercar is a step for sure.
im waiting on online servers without lag, how can battlefield have 64player in tge same spot fighting and in beam playng online is almost imposible
because in beamng each car has physics of its own
beam mp servers dont lag
BF servers lag all the fucking time. It's also not globally simulating hundreds or thousands of physics objects.
Needs VR
I wish gpus were cheaper
We all do!
I have 120 hours of BeanNg, its worth every cent
2:19 thats not true ;-;
Imagine using 🥔pc
@@Zurochase bruh
Twice begging for support? major no go!!!
This game is trying to be pushed toward sim racing people, but it really should be pushed on people who play GTA. I found this game cause I would watch GTA4 crash compilations. I’m sure a lot of people who play GTA just like car destruction and don’t realize it.
@@NORKIE Ha I was weirdly obsessed with car crashes as a kid still am
It always annoyed me how GTA4 has the best GTA damage by far but still they didn’t get the damage nearly right. The panels bending doesn’t make any sense it’s always flush.
I still remember the first time a WhyBeAre video popped into my recommended… I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I saw the first gameplay of BeamNG…
That's kinda how this game already has been pushed, as I crashing sim. Pushing it as such is a bit... What's a good word... Unfair, I suppose? Yes, it simulates crashes, but the game is sooo much more, limiting it's marketing to just being a crashing game is something I'm personally glad is dying off, with people now seeing it's potential as a proper sim.
@@wolfgang_h3t it's a physics simulation first, the crash simulation is a product of it
@@adedhuman9582 yes
It would just degrade the game
Sim Racing Game, this review sure as hell does not impress me. Maybe next rev, you could afford to ad a driver, if even static
you are confused its a car sim not a racing sim physics are more accurate than racing sims
No vr, no party
it's a really good game but you don't have to shill so bad
No VR not interested.
Vr sucker.
Hit the dislike button, unsubscribe, and ignore the bell...did i do that right?
No VR not for me.
I’ll give you one to not; No fucking VR!
Chill bro
Looks boring
Just buy it, you won't regret
This is actually the first time I heard someone say BeamNG looks boring.
@@NicOz42 same, i think he's on drugs or something
@@NicOz42 he just doesnt like cars
@@NicOz42 actually this game is really boring. I've had it for years and i get bored after roughly an hour because driving around and crashing is fun at first but gets boring really quickly. I understand the purpose of the game, it's very realistic driving. But that's about it for now.
