Sorry everyone, I have two things to point out/correct: 1. I meant wonky, not well w*nky at 2:11, I must have been asleep writing my script xD 2. To all the people that want to get access to the 0.1 version of BeamNG, I got it from the owner of Norte MP, @fr3ddycr on Discord, and he won't make it accessible to the public. If you still want to play an old BeamNG version, here is a link to the 0.3 techdemo: archive.org/download/beamng-techdemo-0.3-setup_201907
I got vr to work my first try. Played for hours. Even closed and reopened the game several times. Tried it the next day and it would not work no matter what I tried
The best 25 bucks I’ve ever spent. The devs of this game are incredible and the past 5 years on Steam & watching the development since 2014 will be moments that will never be topped in gaming. I got goosebumps watching this. It’s been an incredible journey, not just for me, my friends, content creators, and the audience, but the Devs who made one of the best developed games of all time all for a 1 time price with consistent free updates. Truly a work of art and an example of how how to make a sim. It’s been an incredible decade and looking forward to the next 10! ❤🎉🥂
i have spent 75 bucks on this game, and going to make it 100 soon. i got it for 2 friends and im getting it for another friend. it is still worth it. every dollar
The biggest update this game needs is node beam collision, instead of just node end collision. Then parts wouldn't clip through each other or get stuck to each other.
The performance impact of that is absolutely crazy. They already have the most advanced real-time physics engine, and you are casually asking them to make it an order of magnitude more advanced. I am not saying it is impossible, but it requires genius-level algorithmic optimization. And also beam collisions would make things better, but would not eliminate parts clipping trough each other. You can still push a triangle through a bigger triangle. To eliminate clipping you need full surface collisions which add another order of magnitude or 2. So sticking to what they have now is probably the smart thing to do.
I've been following beamng since day one and only reason I bought myself a steam deck is to play beamng. This is not a game, beamng is beyond that, it will only grow to become the best sim racer, best offroad sim and ofc, absolutely the best at vehicle damage. Dear devs, hats off to you and thank you for your hard work!
agreed, this game for me is just the best car simulator, it's the best suspension simulator, body flex, the damage system is actually one of the things I am almost least interested about, though a great thing to have, I just immagine doing races and drifting on my simulator and having a crash and having to go back to the pits to fix it, FFB on Wheels is also getting better and better, would love some more detail in the FFB though, but in the last couple years it has improved dramatically.
I Still play Rigs of rods and there is a big modding community so i have a lot of mods and the game is awesome Btw Does BMnG Run well on steam deck? would wanna know.
@@Shadowdrifting works perfectly fine at 40-60fps low to medium settings and steady 30 at medium to high settings. If you want AI I suggest dropping everything to low, doesn't look as good as it can but game is still highly enjoyable
Paint scratches would be very cool. Weather like nice looking rain and thunderstorms and snow would be just amazing. Beamng as it is, is already a top-notch game. Playing with wheel, pedals and shifter make the driving even more fun. I absolutely love this game.
The progress the dev team has made over the past decade is amazing. It's one of my favorite titles to play, especially with the collaboration with Automation. Absolute game changer. It gets better every update.
I sure hope Beamng will remain in early access forever, so that they can keep updating and adding things regularily and keep touch with their community as they(ve successfully done since the game's first release :D
@@bakedstreetyt Yea but with a release, they 100% wouldn't add as much content as they are, they wouldn't refine their physics and aesthetics as much as possible. Release pretty much means the game finished and done
@@astrovisionbroadcastingunion as a developer you need to set goals, otherwise your project will never be finished. When these goals are finished you can show your vision to a broader audience by releasing the game out of the early access state. @@PieceOK Recent games that got officially released never got updated as regularily as BeamNG is still to this day. Moreover, still being in Early Access doesn't exclude you from achieving goals, the main goal is to get the most perfect game possible with as much good content as possible, and the Early Access is, in my opinion, a good place to reach this goal. Moreover, they can reach for more specific goals like having the best physics (which are still tweaked to this day), graphics, FX, details, etc etc. I think it's for the best that they don't go away from Early Access before they get everything perfectly right, and tbh it should be the same for any game. If it's not finished and you have to tweak it still, don't release it as being a final product. That's crazy that it's been a decade. I remember playing the tech demo, and then I believe the paid alpha version was released a week or two later. I vividly remember waking up the morning the first public alpha released and asking my parents if I could get it. I'm 23 now and still love Beamng. Glad this was a part of my childhood.

Hey, thanks for that. Great video. In regard to wishes, my big one would be human ragdolls in the cars. But that dream seems so far-fetched that most have given up on it. I am aware that this is by design, yet one can dream... Thanks again.
I’m glad this was inspiring :)
About the rag doll, it would definitely be a cool feature, but I think the developers will first focus on getting the vehicles physics as realistic as possible.
Thanks for stopping by CrashFrontier!
Been in BeamNG since the beginning. Watched it a lot in 2012-2015
I can't wait to see scratches on the car and dynamic weather, btw amazing video
Me neither, I really hope those features get implemented! Thank you!
Happy 10th anniversary BeamNG!!!!
I love this. Thanks for sharing. I hope they never stop developing it - it's such an exciting game.
I somehow don't want the devs stopping development on this beautiful game.
If they do I'm gonna cry
Very well made video!
Great video! Hope to see more in the future.
Imagine having a game that came out to the public in 2013 and is still getting quality of life updates and new FUN content... im looking at you rockstar
Hindsight:
0.30 was a big update, but yes, *tyre thermals, dynamic weather,* physical damage, etc *could revolutionize the game* beyond what we know today.
ayo finally a long video! tysm keep it up
Thanks! I won‘t be able to keep up the weekly upload schedule with longer videos though…
This made me realize just how long I follow beam, I still remember seeing the oldest menus, probably later version with them tho
Congrats on hitting 10K subs!!!!
Thank you!
And VR for sure....
BeamNG anniversary update confirmed?
No, I don’t think so. I believe and hope that we get the first teaser though!
How did you comment before the video released
That is a very good question
It was released as premiere, meaning people were able to comment before the video fully published :)
Sadly Rigs of Rods has fallen into obscurity
Yeah…
Ice been watching beam since 2015 ish, and started playing just a few years ago in 2020... love the game and will never get over the physics and offroading
damn vr *I've
Crazy how far this game has come since I bought it back in 2015 when it got on to steam and whats even crazier is i still play the game very often amazing game amazing devs
you forgot that one of the main developers of Beamng had car mods for Rigs of Rods that he completly left out, they were so amazing tho, Cars called Gavril
VR would be such a killer feature for BeamNG...
7:04 wasn't it called a remaster not a refresh? Because back then they only did remasters and refreshes weren't a thing ,immaculate video though👌,is the 0.27 update big because of the map becuase 4 cars and the senarios isnt bigger than one of the old update that realesed 4 cars and some senarios?
Yes, it was indeed called remaster, I just said that they got refreshed in the sense of being more up-to-date. About 0.27, I’m pretty sure it included the most content ever, I’ll check it though. Thanks!
Do you think that 0.29 will be a construction vehicle update or a update to car physics like tire thermals/wear ,downforce or a bit of both?
You forgot to mention that gridmap v1 was removed and replaced with gridmap v2
Yeah, I missed quite some stuff... It's not easy to put the entire history of over 10 years into one video.
I remember the old menu UI and the old gridmap, those were the good days
First with this video I really noticed how many updates come over the year and what an effort the people of BeamNG make. I am very excited about what is still to come if it continues like this.
Thank you for the video
Much appreciated!
Overdeveloped games being made by decades will be the best
I remember when the automation x beamng update came. I couldn't believe it! I still struggle to, now. Two games. Two of my favourite games at the time lol! Anyway cheers man really nice video!
Thanks! That collaboration is truly amazing!
I remember when that first video came out on the game I was so shocked seeing that. O played the game as soon as it came public and loved every second of it
automation collab feels like it was added yesterday
imagine that after BeamNG releases that they make a second one with better physics or with the ability to destroy buildings and stuff
Yeah, Rigs of Rods takes me back. I thought back then we would see this tech in all games with driving......that was 2008/9......
I remember it like yesterday. Jacksepticeye playing around on the original grid map, crashing the red D-series, and yelling cuss words.
I eemember when lazarbeam played it and speirstheamazingHD
One update they should add is a monster truck update, I would love to see that.
beamng is the minecraft of cars. change my mind.
No. It even better
It wasn't a question of which one is better. It's simply saying that it's the Minecraft of cars.
when the devs did a small q&a on the forums at the launch of 0.29 they said tire thermals were several updates away iirc
This channel is so underrated!!!
