Great video! Thank you. Building a sleep system for my 2 spoiled dogs on short backpacking trips. Trying to simultaneously protect the tent floor. 3 of the Klymit V insulated will cover the floor. So, they'll each get their own Klymit V Insulated and quilt cover. Then they'll carry them in, one on each side of their backpacks, themselves. :D I'll be carrying a climate V insulated as well.
Tyvek could be useful also. Its very durable and light weight. If you machine wash it a few times it become less rigid and very easy to work with. You can usually find it at most big box hardware stores.
@@unclebillscamping actually I had asked on Amazon if they made one and a representative from Amazon replied and said they do. I went to the Klymit web site and sure enough they are now making one. It's not the quilted one but the "V Sheet". Look at the specs tab and you'll see the measurements match up to the Static V Luxe mat. I'll send the link. The only thing is I think the price is nuts. It's almost half if what I paid for the pad. Doesn't make sense to me. www.klymit.com/catalog/product/view/_ignore_category/1/id/293/s/v-sheet-luxe-sleeping-pad-cover/
I have 2 dogs, always got one of them with me and every once in a while a claw rips through my sleep pad. Would you say that cover would be a good protection against that? Thanks
Lee Lewis the sheet itself does very little to keep the pad from moving around inside the tent as it only covers the bottom corners of the sleeping pad. I usualy keep a small 2ft ×1ft piece of grip material like what you would put under an area rug on a hardwood floor to put between the bottoms of the pad and the floor of the tent. Its super light, compressible and it will keep your setup from sliding around inside the tent.
Thank you for this informative video.
I'm planning to purchase one, and I know of at least one thru-AT hiker that is using it.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice review. I really love the sound of rain in a tent. So soothing :D

Awesome Review!, Just What I needed before buying one of this V Sheets. Thanks for sharing!
Great review I am thinking about getting one, this looks great for what I wanted
I've been wanting to get one of these but I don't think they're making one for the wider v-lux.
Is far as i know they are only available for the single and the double. Hopefully they will add to the lineup soon.

does it reduce squicky sound? when moving?
Yes it does. There is still some noise but its not even cose to the amount without the sheet.
Jessica Zplayz absolutely it does
What size thermarest pillow are you using? Small?
I have this and it’s great

Not really. Its a nice cover but if your dogs claw can puncture your sleeping pad this would do little to stop it.
Hi. Will the v sheet fit the insulated recon pad.
Cheers
Im not sure but if the dimensions are the same i do not see why it wouldn't.
I love mine too
can i get this for the double v?
Yes you can
How does it work for keeping the pad in one place? I find my pad is always slipping around and moving.
