I don’t have a specific video on it but I would say it takes a couple of months to get into a good routine and build up the amounts in your envelopes. A great way to kick start this system is by doing a No Spend or Low Spend month to set yourself up well. In the beginning of any new budgeting system, it takes delayed gratification to be able build up the amounts in your envelopes. I’ve been delaying all of these household purchases for months and months because I didn’t have the money in the envelope😊
@@meganross Thank you! Yes delayed gratification would definitely be of benefit. I need to see if we are really not making enough with our one income or is it just spending/not having enough but buying and figuring it out later. Most of our money goes to groceries so I don't know how I would build up many envelopes but you don't know until you try.
@@mjmc4me very true! Having a written budget is key. It takes a couple of months of writing everything down to get the hang of it. We follow Dave Ramsey’s method and it’s super helpful! You can find his podcasts which are super helpful😊
@@meganross Yes we were doing Dave Ramsey budget but lately I just put everything into groceries because of costing so much and needing more in there. I do need to really sit down and look at it more.
Great video. I have goals to get this organized. 😊
You can do it!
@@meganross thank you!
These videos are so inspiring. Do you know or have any videos on how long it usually takes to build up a good envelope system?
