BEAUTIFUL WHITTLER!!! This is a 1st for a GEC whittler with a sheepfoot main, and "I think" it's also their first whittler with brass liners & center spacer. ( Pssst......just so ya know, they already made the 4-blade Congress, in this very frame, but they called it the #61. They were made in 2009 in both Tidioute and Northfields in many handle options, with 2 sheepfoot mains. Then in 2010, they made them again, but with 2 rather "blunt ended" wharncliffe blades as the mains. I don't know why they say "3.71" long closed" on that poster for these 13's, because they have them sized at 3 & 5/8" closed on their website.......and that is exactly like the 61 Congress they made in '09 & '10.........Ya held one in your hand on camera for our most recent TKA video.....does "Grandma's Kitchen Floor" ring a bell?......lol. I believe they were simply swamped with so many SFO's this time around for the "PPP" versions of this frame, which they renamed as the #13. Perhaps they just wanted to give these an entirely different identity than their 4-blade Congress, maybe??? )
Traditionals are like potato chips. You get one and you think you can stop and then you buy another. It's nicely refreshing in a tactical framelock flipper market.
I picked up the No. 13 Speaker Jack in Muslin Micarta. I've been dying to jump into traditional folders, particularly some of the beautiful knives you and others feature. I'm loving this little knife, but I've got to say that I'm not overly thrilled with the production quality. I won't go into a lot of detail, but the worst is the liner between the two blades which is absolutely razor sharp. I'd almost be willing to bet it's as sharp as the blades.
I'm not really all that sure why they decided not to go with dual sheepfoot blades and then still include the two pens. Seems a little unnecessary to me honestly.
Question I see what your saying about the knife. But I like Whittlers would this make a good everyday carry? Know your not going to answer a comment from me as you have not for months. Not even when I thank you and your viewers for the prayers for my daddy after he passed away. So I am coming to you as it says in the scripture. The only comment I have made on your channel and have 4 or 5 times. And i know you do mighty fine knife work. Put the first to say so. And even though your knife edges are razor sharp they and every edge in this world have not a edge comparing to God's word. And I know your not comparing but in my opinion we never use something else in the same sentence. As you know our God is Holy. And worldly things are just that worldly. Now this is your channel and I sure respect you and every sub you have born again are not. If you rather me not ever comment just make it known to me and all. And if you have a problem with me do as the scripture says and bring it before me so I can say I am sorry. Made the blessings of the Lord be upon you all. Amen

Nice looking brass center spacer, like the look of that whip, a sister to my well beloved 920114.
I like it ! I think it would be a good user knife for small projects. 😁
