I’ve got a 47 set up as my main pistol for competition, Cyelee green dot and Glock Performance trigger only thing I’ve done internally, gold titanium nitride parts on the outside, I really like it though most IDPA I shoot pcc, went blind in my right eye and pcc little easier, green dot on it and green laser, mostly shoot the 47 at CPSL matches, sort of a watered down USPSA, fun match though for us old guys
In contrast to your earlier video on shipping the staccato. Would love a list of your favourite drop in/ do it yourself kits you have used over the years
Build quality is not outstanding on CZ poly guns. It'd be interesting to see Ben test it and get the round count on it necessary to reveal the faults that aren't apparent in the show room.
Ben, can you make a video about Zeroing a pistol red dot? Lots of folks have different opinions about whether you should brace the pistol on a sandbag, or just shoot your groups standing. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Just for the looks you should swap the SRO’s on the Glock 19s 17s 45s and 47s and put the holosuns on the 34 kinda stupid Ik but I def think it would make the guns look a little more cool
I use to pride myself on buying glocks and shooting them stock minus their sights. Since I’ve gotten a wrist injury I now replace the guide rods with tungsten un captured spring guide rods , I add 3 oz each tungsten batteries in a mounted light on the glocks and I put sandpaper tape on areas of the grip. I’ve had to do this to deal with recoil and my bad wrists. I’m experimenting with a gas pedal too but I’m not sure this is any help. Any thoughts?
Why would a 47 mos with optic perform preferable to a 17 gen5 mos? I understand the physics behind reciprocating mass completely. Running a 47 means you are committed to essentially a g17 size configuration so I’m still not understanding the point unless you plan on switching it to the g45 configuration often. 17gen5 mos may be discontinued which I think was a mistake. Ben can you elaborate on why you think the 47 in it’s out of the box form has something to do with spring rate preference for optics?
@@JA-oo9qp What do optics being mounted have to do with it? I understand how the 47 is setup. Never mind. All Chanel s pump BS. Do we need to discuss this on a live? Get Pranka over here too😂
@@JA-oo9qp I’m getting explanations for a question I’m not asking. I already know the answer and I think a lot of folks do too. Gotta convince yourselves whatever is new is better. I’m talking about the comparison between 47 and 17 mos. The 47 was made for border patrol alongside the 49 so an individual agent could have semi modularity and make a 17,19,19L or 45 out of the combinations. 47 is a 17 with a 19 recoil spring. I agree it’s probably fine however if you committed to purchasing only that Glock not for the purpose of swapping parts around, then a 17mos is a better shooter with or without optics. Never heard anyone say I’m running an optic I’ll get the 47.
On your prior vid re: g47 with SRO you noted the SRO you chose was a 5 MOA dot size. Previously you had mentioned you didn’t have much preference on MOA size and tended to go with smaller. Any particular reason why you decided on the larger MOA dot size on this g47?
Do you CCW Carry? & if you do is it a full size or what you will be competing with or some small pocket pistol? Do you ever discuss smaller pistols? Drills from concealment? Just curious, you shoot so much as your job so Do you get away from it as much as you can? Also, I think .40 gets bad rap from most people w crappy recoil control & light barrel swapped Glocks that were not really engineered for it until wider heavier slide Gen 5s at request of Brazilian LE. If people shot those or HKs or Sigs that were made for it I don't think it would have gotten a bad rap, that came from cops that couldn't shoot 23s and 27s that were sort of too light. In 1995 2 years before fbi my 1st was a 23 as a teenager. I know you recently spent some .40 time I'm sure your hits were similar just needed a bit of extra focus mindfullness instead of auto pilot easy button is that sort of correct? Shot a gen 5 .40? I haven't yet but in HKs and M&Ps .40 isn't an issue the internet says & I've compare 9&.40 in subcompact p2000s. If not much difference there for a non competitive shooter it shouldn't be in full size pistols.
Is the gen 5 actually better in your opinion than the gen 3? About to make a purchase tomorrow Can save some dough and buy some ammo with the gen 3 or just get the gen 5.
Get the gen3. The trigger of the gen3 will improve with time. The gen 5 wont. Gen 3s are easier to work on and replacement parts are cheaper. If you dont like finger grooves get the gen5. Just my 2 cents. Get the one you think is cooler. That way you will enjoy shooting the gun.
Just to clarify you are saying you never, ever change recoil springs or just not at their recommended intervals? Not bashing but are you this way with everything.
Ben, as you've used a wide range of gun makes and models over the years, have you ever found a specific model (not one individual gun) that was unacceptably accurate? Obviously action shooting doesn't demand the accuracy that bullseye does. Nonetheless, I wonder if you've tried or even bought a gun (or guns) that you simply could not count on to regularly put shots where you wanted them. Not talking about features like grip angle or operating controls, just intrinsic accuracy.
As a glock fan I really enjoy you put more content on those guns. It is always a pleasure to hear what a professional will say about them. I like when you compare them to other tools :) . Can you do me a favor and estimate one thing? Let's assume some average USPSA/IDPA stage, you shot it many times before, you are very familiar with it. Now you have to shoot it with (no optics) with G19/17/34. Can you estimate points/percentage you get with them (f.e. 90/95/100 or 95/100/93...)? What I mean is how do you think size will effect performance in this case.
Shooting fast sounds like playing guitar fast just go the speed it needs to be fuck along the way fill in the blanks. Guitar is just way easier to do I kind of avoid practicing Shooting till I have my own range
I'll bet a lot of people don't know that the 47 is simply a 17 with a shortened dust cover to accept the 19 RSA. I managed to snare a 17.5 MOS before they totally disappeared because I think it shoots better than the 47. My opinion, of course; others may disagree. Got to hand it to Glock for their continuing "innovation". LOL

I believe J. Yeager use to say the same thing. No matter what it is they'll brake it. He did like his Glocks.
Will a 47 slide work on a gen 5 34 frame?
Only if the slide is a gunsmith.
@@zaiquiri1799 it has a dremel but it's waiting on it's glock armorer cert to come in the mail
a gen 5 34 frame is the same as a 17 frame.
@@Slippindisc yeah, but the 47's frame has the shorter dust cover and the slide is designed to accommodate the g19's recoil spring assembly.
No, it will not. It will only work on a 19 frame. The 47 frame is the same as the 45
