Corey's vocals and Joey's drums really stand out here. It's my favorite Slipknot song so I'm biased. I think it deserved at least an 8, but opinions vary, shrugs.

This song was one of the band's singles and they always picked the simpler songs for those as they have more mass-market appeal. The less popular songs on each album can get fairly technical with multiple time changes and odd time signatures.
I appreciate how you break down the actual music of the songs to us. I almost feel like I know a little bit of music when you do so 😂

This song live, when the drums first kick in. Never see a crowd from front to back jump the way they do. One of there most simple songs but what a song never the less

I so greatly recommend Gematria (The Killing Name). Fast and hard hitting, brutalizing their instruments nonstop for 6 minutes.
Finally some Slipknot...Loved your breakdown as always, I am really learning so much from you and its awesome. I was at the Slipknot show last weekend and I have to tell you this band live is amazing. I know somewhere in the cue my request for the Devil in I Live in Japan. I'm confused why they gave you lyric video when there is an official video.. ... i have same preference though when they at least switch up to melodic lines. The only joy i get out of things like death metal are some of the guitar and drum sections. When they get solo not just aggression. Slipknot is one of those bands that teeters that line for me and thats why i think i love them. (Have seen them live before-sadly not a sell out venue)
This was my probably my most favorite album that Slipknot has produced. Glad to see you headbanging to some epic metal.

Actually the breakdown has a three at the end. Your almost right, the first 'two' are twos, the seconds 'two' are fours but the last one is a three.

I love this song! Really satisfied with the fact that you enjoyed it! And I had a feeling you would like some of this era of Slipknot (late 2000s) because I remember you saying you did not like the first album, which was a lot more chaotic. I suggested a song called, "Through The Fire and Flames" by DragonForce shortly after this I think, so if that is still on the list, be prepared for some insanity... Curious to see what you'll think of that. I picked the lyric videos because you sometimes say that you are afraid the official music video will get blocked. But in the case of the DragonForce song, the official video shortens the song by 2 minutes, so I just chose lyrics so the full song can be on there. Anyway, I've rambled enough; enjoyed the vid man!

Early Slipknot (People = Shit, Disasterpiece, Eyeless, Heretic Anthem) might be a bit aggressive for you!
Its all ace once you go down the rabbit hole.

I'm with you bro. I love nu-metal cause of the growl and melodic mixture. Only a few bands I've enjoyed with just growl. Couple being hatebreed and slaughter to prevail

I always kinda rolled my eyes at Slipknot... But this song is pretty badass.
The clean vocals are really satisfying, and at the same time they also almost sound comical when juxtaposed with the growling sections.
All in all, I'm surprised you didn't give this a score in the 8s, it's such a beast of a song.

I always thought the breakdown after the solo was a bit awkward.
Definitely one of their less good albums, and overall definitely in the bottom half of their catalog in my opinion
