When Eminem raps really fast, it's like the human-voice version of a guitar solo.
Wow this is probably the most accurate Eminem analogy
These days, he always raps as is his voice is another piece of the instrumentation.. I would more so compare it to a drum solo, but yeah.
like him or not, that man is an amazing lyrical acrobat!
Exactly. I don't like him as a person but there's no denying the talent.
@@Captain_Kirk116 can you elaborate on that? It's a serious question. I really have no idea about eminem and rap in general. After listening to this I read up on his bio a little and he seemed to be quite a good guy, taking care of his daughter and niece despite all the hardship in his early years.
@@rootxertxertroot9072 Yes, he does seem like a good dad to me as well. He does have anger issues and is very disrespectful to women and I understand he had a rough past, but other people have had rough things happen to them in the past and aren't complete jerks. I think he just uses his past as an excuse to get away with bad behavior in the present. I think it's obvious that he feeds off people hating on him, as an artist, and therefore doesn't want to change cuz it's how he makes his best music. That's just my thoughts about it.
@@Captain_Kirk116 thanks for the answer! I get where you are coming from. Dived into eminem hard the last days. And I think you have a very good point here. He wouldn't have been as big as he was without all the controversy and his "I don't give a fuck" image. But as he said in another track: "everybody roots for a nuisance". I can't bring myself to judge someone without meeting them though. But that is naive I guess.
@@Captain_Kirk116 oh sorry. The "root for a nuisance" line is from this track, of course. Heard too many tracks the last 48 hours.
And this isn't even his fastest... I'm a rock and metal guy myself but you can't deny the talent in this.
at the time it was he got world record for it on the speed, but then he broke his own record with godzilla i believe
Kudos for being willing to make the jump to Eminem. If you took his lyrics written out and read through them, you'd realize how many references and double/triple meanings he has in almost all of his songs. I don't like rap music, but I like Eminem.
There is a live version where he does the fast flow and takes one little breath half way through where his hype man fills in and gives him a chance to take it but it’s still very impressive. It’s from an award show and he actually does it with no backing vocal track.
I was waiting for the “it’ll get ya there” and the “I’m taking it back” 😂 I wasn’t sure there for a second if you would, but I’m glad you did lol I second the Godzilla suggestion 🖤
I third it maybe even survival with drums and guitars on it
That reaction was from an interesting angle. I enjoyed it.
If you could comprehend the lyrics, word play & diction at speed, it would blow your mind.
Word play genius. He can’t be touched. I agree…if you can’t understand the props, and really understand the wordplay and references, you have no idea the pure genius of the song. His delivery is unworldly but you can’t really appreciate the song entirely unless you comprehend the lyrics. This song solidified him as the rap god.
This track has 1560 words in a 6 minute track which has set a unbeaten world record (most words in a song) officially set in the Guinness book of world records !
“What is a God to a nonbeliever?” You just roasted Eminem harder than any of his actual enemies ever did. Unintentionally of course…
Lmfao
That was a bar. We might have beef between David and Eminem. 😅
yup, harder than mgk did even with a music video "diss" lol
Quick summary of what the song was about: Eminem has had some ups and downs career-wise. This song came into being during the end of his "down" time in his career. This song is basically Eminem flexing on everyone in the industry, paying homage to those he repects and admires, and calling out those who he doesn't. What's crazy about this song is that he isn't just doing it with his lyrics, he's also doing it with his delivery. Some of the meters in this song are Eminem rapping like other rappers from that time period. He's basically daring everyone to keep talking shit about him by showing them he can do everything they can and then dropping that fast section towards the end.
Yep, as a drummer I've always respected the kind of flow he is able to generate with his meter. Some people compare it to a guitar solo, but I compare it to percussion. You could take his vocal rhythm and play it on the drums. In his music though, it's being countered by an actual drum beat, which makes it even better.
Metal fan through and through, but you can’t deny Eminem’s talent!
Thanks everyone for voting for my request
If u want a Eminem song that is slower and is meant to be heard word for word you need to hear "When I'm Gone" by Eminem
It is honestly one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and I'm picky when it comes to Rap.
This is one of the VERY FEW rap songs that have actually made me cry a bit.
It is so relatable to fathers and fathers who are always on the road.
Its about a dream he has about his daughter begging him not to leave again to go on the road
It really expresses the challenge of always being away from loved ones cuz of your career and its really touching and I HIGHLY recommend this song for u to react to.
U might tear up as well.
Its emotional as hell
Have you ever considered doing a video naming songs you've found because of reactions you have done that have gone into regular rotation in your listening? And how you feel about them now after spending more time with them.
yesss!!
Omg im a huge Eminem fan!!! I can't wait for you to check out more of his songs 😁 I wasn't into rap either until I started understanding the lyrics 👍
When you figure out the lyrics for it...your mind might blow up.
Really enjoyed watching you go out of your comfort zone with Eminem! Hope to see more in the future!
You should react to darkness by eminem, unbelievable storytelling song with a wild twist at the end!
I love that you caught max headroom and knew the name…
This is one of the most, if not the most, reacted to song on youtube… reckon it was a matter of time…
Cheers dh… hope you have a great weekend
Love your reaction.
I don't always agree with you reviews/reactions, but I always appreciate your integrity and honesty.
Plenty of UA-camrs out there doing the usual reactions as if everything they hear is the best thing ever (clearly helps views), regardless of their true feelings.
I'm a massive Muse fan, and been loving how many you've doing, even if I personally think all should be 10/10 😂
I love all the Rhyme schemes.. the wordplay.. all the people and great artists he shouted out .. the cadence .. it’s crazy 🔥🐐
Just found your channel and love the vibe you are giving and giving all kinds of music a chance even if it isn’t you kind of thing … much respect for you doing that
If this was fast I’d love for you to hear Godzilla haha
I hope this does not get blocked
Same, we've seen it before tho!
It already was blocked, but I disputed the block and the dispute went for 30 days unchallenged. So the block was released. This is why I film 6 weeks in advance, so I have time to dispute every block that happens.
Oh boy this gonna be fun!
Hope to see Avantasia sometime in this channel, Toby's got such a good voice
I can tell you that the lyricism in this song is impressive, just take my word for it lol! I told a friend of mine about this reaction when I saw the notification and let him know that it should be very interesting since he's not a lyrics guy, and that's exactly what it was. Godzilla is a more recent song of his where he goes even faster. The thing that makes him the best rapper imo is moreso his rhyme schemes and flow switches cuz there's other rappers that rap at ludicrous speed as well.
This was nice! When he goes into rapid-fire mode he's hitting the beats perfectly. But I was really amazed by his off-time flow where he was rapping over the top in another time signature? Beautiful inflection as well, emotional. The chorus was catchy and gave my ears and brain(!) time to process. This was really good stuff from Em.
unexpected to see him here, but he is really cool, so will see, will see
dude, you never disappoint, thank you for the reaction. Sorry, I'm too tired to give all of my thoughts (1 am here, I will do it later), just quick one - the answer why you enjoyed it - because it is a high quality product
Yes...he can do this live...there are many videos of him doing this in one breath.
I can dig Eminem is good (genius) spinning lyrics and does it so well. 🤘🔥 keep rocking DH and have a great weekend!
You have a great channel, doing great!
Once again, an excellent reaction.
I feel you, I'm the same way with lyrics as a musician. they just go right over my head most of the time.
I hope you do some more Eminem
By the way, that part that you went back because it was so fast it was a Guiness World Record for most syllables in short period of time ... that was beaten by Eminem himself in 2020 in the song Godzilla at age 47
Eminem is the only English musician in the Rap/HipHop genre that I can listen to!
He is one of the few that don't always talk about bitches, drugs and guns. I really enjoy listening to him!
I believe this is one of the fastest rap part ever, but I believe he goes even faster in Godzilla :D
About the like, i'm also curious, I never listened to him live :)
The lyrics really hit so hard,
I hope Godzilla of Eminem next,
Edit: The fastest verse he made so far, faster than this.
"Breathe"?! "Does he ever breathe"? How dare you, minion? He's a rap god-
Gods don't need oxygen
Eminem definitely lives up to the name of the song, plus when he was coming up in the rap scene he started out as a battle rapper. he also talks about some of the people who inspired him like Run DMC who he inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, and Eminem is kind of a king at using double and triple entendre's in a lot of his songs
Saw one video. Without needed to be prompt I subbed
More Eminem please you’ll get hooked
Subscribing for the “we’re gonna go back it’s my channel” 😂
I loved your reaction :) I don't know whether to recommend Eminem songs with simple and easy to understand (but still powerful and well-written) lyrics, or recommend ones that can be appreciated exactly like you appreciated this one - based on their sound alone. A lot of people can like Eminem even if they don't speak English well enough to understand him (I was one of those when I was a child), but I recently started listening to him and understanding him makes it sooo much better. A song with straightforward but powerful lyrics: Rock Bottom. A song I liked even when I didn't speak English, just based on the sound (and the music video): Without Me (but background knowledge and understanding what he's talking about adds a lot to it). A modern song with extreme speed, where the lyrics are not the point, the delivery is: Tech N9ne - Speedom (feat. Eminem & Krizz Kaliko).
Great reaction my guy, but I advice you choose the lyrics version if you do more from eminem on your own time or for content. It makes it much better when you catch the juicy stuff there, as good as Eminem is at the technical aspect of rapping his pen is unnmatched.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully you can do songs like song for the moment , survival . The more rock orientated songs to ease you in to his other stuff
You would like MMLP and Relapse I believe. MMLP with that almost haunting sounds and Relapse with the horrorcore vibes that have some of the best writing and rhyming ever.
I've not seen it live myself but I've had two friends (from two different shows) say he pulled it off live.
How many words are in these lyrics?? Pure talent.
1560
He does do it live.
He doesn't always do the Entire 6 min song and does portions of it or shortens it but he always does do that very fast part live and its always solid and he nails it everytime.
I cant wait to watch this one ahaha oh boy
Would love to see a reaction to Eminem - Godzilla.
Great reaction. As a Hip-Hop fan first, metalhead 2nd I always love seeing primarily metal fans giving rappers their due. I always found it weird how much a lot of metal fans hate rap, the two should make natural allies. Both are counterculture musical genres who were told for years that their preferred music is just a "fad" and "not real music."
You picked a rough introduction for someone new to Eminem. He actually set a world record for syllables per second. You can probably guess which part. BTW he broke his own record a few years later on his newer track Godzilla.
As for the lyrics, you're not missing a ton. Em has deep songs, this isn't one. It is pure braggodocio which is an integral part of rap culture. All the lyrics amount to "I'm the best, here's why, prove me wrong." All good rappers have those tracks but this one still stands at the pinnacle. No one has been able to touch it. Well, except arguably Eminem on a couple newer tracks.
you should definitely do more eminem
with Eminem songs you need to know almost every line he delivers is a double/triple entendre (as is the song as a whole) and the next line may also fit into the line before giving yet another meaning again, there is always multiple meanings so to break down the lyrics is a massive task
G- reatest

This is a tough song to start reacting to eminem. You'll have to build an ear for eminem. Very much enjoyed the reaction though.
Cool man! Do more hip hop reaction. Really interesting. What about drake next? Nice video tho 😊
Stans Everywhere ❤️
You can also watch him do it in person there's a video on UA-cam xx
Were those sixtuplets he was rapping in count? Frigging crazy , I'd love to see a drummer reproduce that phrase
I get it man. you hear the note, cadence, emotion, inflection, not the words per say
Wish I could hear this for the first time again 😂
Yes he’s done it live. It’s on UA-cam
You should listen to his personal tracks, like *The Way I Am*
And Rap God isn’t a track one would listen to when they’re bored. But he proved his lyrical capabilities. I find his older tracks to be more fun, but his newer music is written with more lyricism.
Eminem has a song called Berzerk I think you'd like. The guitar in the song sounds sick, he's basically rapping over a slight rock sounding song. Business is also an amazing song. Just Lose it is hilarious, he mentions Elvis, Michael Jackson and a couple other celebs, the videos a good laugh
I'm not sure if he does the fast part of this song live without taking a breath, but I have seen other live videos of his that are even more impressive than the fast part of rap god. In his "shady xv" cypher he has rapid flows for like 6min straight. & long drawn out parts where he takes no breath & there are no cuts.
Dang you went higher than i thought... I had guess at 7.5-7.7
I just heard this for the first time recently. This shit is wild. Amazing. He may be the Rap God
he can do it live and he can do it faster, you are absolutly right sir.
I was wondering. When you listen to a country song, one that just tells a simple story. Do the lyrics then get through to you or are you so focused on the music that even those lyrics don't rise to the surface for you?
All lyrics go over my head.
@@THEDavidHeretic Maybe it's necessary to filter out the lyrics to be able to fully focus on the music on the level that you do.
👏❤️🐐🔥
Yes! I don’t are about lyrics either. I see the voice as an instrument
I love death metal just as much as hip hop. I grew up on Eminem and others, and then fell in love with metal. Eminem is only second to ozzy with me haha.
I think you should check out Eminem's "When I'm Gone". Give even you you a chance to appreciate his lyrical and storytelling ability without overwhelming your ears. 🙂
also his lyrics are a huge huge huge part of his songs
and btw. he went to Guiness book of records with this song... And then he broke that racord with his another song Godzilla :D You definatelly should react on that song...
EM=GOAT ✌️
An often overlooked lyric span was when he referenced the Columbine shooting from one of his previous albums, using the exact same lyrics, and he was basically saying that’s he’s no longer popular as an artist, so try to say he’s corrupting your kids now (he was blamed for that unfortunate incident).
You enjoyed it because he's the GOAT.
You'll understand when you read his lyrics and understand the complexity of his bars and how he ties everything together.
This is Eminem 10 years ago his way better now
Please react to *Eminem darkness* also do the video it's slower than this and easier to catch (Also him more recent)
That section is so mind numbing, everyone has to do it again. I had no doubt you were going to go back!
Yes he can do it live, he did it a lot after this came out
The rap god
I think he broke a world record in the most syllables in a number 1 hit song 🐐 🔥🙌🏻
"Is he gonna breath" how do you do it and breath the simple answer is you don't you take a deep breath before and after you'll notice just before and after there's a short break in his lyrics just before and after that's where he breaths also doing it in a recording studio helps as you can do multiple takes to get it right and you'll only do that section instead of trying to do the entire song in one go, If you ever seen a hip hop artist live you'll notice a lot of them can't actually do what they do in a studio song live because they run out of breath
This is true, however, I have seen Eminem live in concert and he sounds EXACTLY the same as he does in the studio! He is so talented!! He is the 🐐IMO
P.S. Since you stated that you struggle with lyrics, I highly recommend reacting to lyric videos when you do Eminem’s songs. If you are doing an Eminem official music video, just have the lyrics pulled up or printed out bc only then will see how he is truly a genius!! Even if you don’t grab what the song lyrics are talking about, when you read along while listening to him rap it will truly blow your mind. I promise you won’t regret it!! I have been an Eminem fan since day one and I still enjoy doing this myself.
If you want to hear / see a faster verse you should check out Godzilla or Killer (remix).. if you want to see more technicals do yourself a favour and check out EM’s verse in Speedom. (I guarantee you will not believe it) if you want technicals / crazy flow + witness someone packing in more bars into the actual bars provided, listen to EM’s verse in Psychopath Killer. (It will come up under the group Slaughterhouse) The last song can be painful on the ears (esp if you’re not a fan of rap) but for anyone that can appreciate music (and itslaws being broken) it’s quite literally a masterpiece / master class in rap & art / music.
Pls react to eminem when i'm gone
I actually didn't think you'd like this one. I was ready for the "I appreciate it for what it is, but it's not my thing." Which would have been fine, anyways.
I guess I kind of got that when you were talking about the playlists around the end, but glad you enjoyed it! I can see it working okay on a drive up to Vegas, it seems like a fun song to vibe for that. Haha
I listen to rap and hiphop on occasion. I really enjoy many different artists, from Kendrick Lamar to Denzel Curry to Clipping. As for Eminem, I like more of his older stuff, so I'm not the biggest fan of "Rap God," personally, but I think it's a solid song with great wordplay and flow to it (Which is textbook Eminem).
If you happen to react to more Eminem in the future, I'd be down for that. I don't know where to start when it comes to requests, so Imma leave it up to others there. Haha
Some rap/hiphop artists to consider for the future: Clipping, Run the Jewels, Denzel Curry, Kendrick Lamar, and Saba. :)
Eminem is definitely a master at his craft
Good
My two most favorite artists are Metallica and Eminem... I was on Metallica´s concert in Prague (Sonisphere festival) where was around 40k people... Then I went on Eminem´s concert in Paris where was 100k people at the Stadium, I was right in the front and it was the best experience in my life! Eminem is an fckin´ alien...
What’s it about? He is a rap god!
react to Eminem's killshot and rap god live you won't regret it
First time comments. but seem this react before Happy you like it 😉. I dont realy see a another request you would like !! 😂 Godzilla maybe realy entertaining video 😮
Damn #696? I had no idea you were so backed up lol.
There are currently 1238 requests in the que, so yeah we have a ways to go.
React to beatboxing it’s so amazing and I’m not sure if you heard it before, listen to codfish 2018 winner compilation
If you react more to Eminem and do lyrics video and try to understand what is being said.. I assure you not only will you appreciate lyrics and rap more but you will find it most interesting and fun to start breaking down some shit here and there 😎👍 I'm all in on a journey through some lyrical miracle reaction videos 😎😉
Should do tech 9 world wide choppers global remix
