    I think the reason why a pageboy is harder to achieve with curling methods other than pin curls is that rollers always create standing curls which are not leaning in either direction, whereas pin curls always lean this way or that, they result in a flatter curl which directs the hair laterally rather than up. They create waves more than they create spirals, if that makes sense.

    Oh yes! You KNOW how to use duck bill clips properly to shape the fringe! I see so many tutorials where people position the clips all in the same direction, basically only pinning the curves that go towards the back and not pinning the ones that go towards the front. They should always alternate as we are trying to create tension in the hair.

      hi. I now see it too! Thank you for pointing this out! Do you happen to know why you need to do it like this? (My english isnt well enough to be sure if i understand your comment right) if someone else who reads this comment wants to explain this to me. Please do!

    The pageboy style is my favorite! Thanks for making this tutorial. My hair is about the same length as yours, so I'll keep my eye out for more pageboy videos.

      It's the most confidence-boosting hair style, I totally agree with the favourite status. I just wish setting it felt as exciting as brushing it out 🥂

    I think it would've looked really cute without the brush out, Try that sometime and let us know. But, don't get me wrong you still look pretty with the brush out.

    When I am removing the clips, I first stick my fingers into the back end of the spring mechanism to push aside any hair that got in there, so that when I open the clip and start pulling it out, it comes out with no resistance and no hair breakage.

    I’ve tried this a few time & it’s still a flop… but will keep going. The only time my curls look something like is with bobby pins. What am I doing wrong?? 🤦‍♀️

    I buy vintage clips on eBay. Clips made in the 21st century are awful in comparison.

    How do you maintain your hair during the week? Do you do anything in particular before going to sleep? Do you do pin curls daily and brush out afresh?

    • @mrstdupuy
      @mrstdupuy  Рік тому +1

      I’d the hairstyle is soft like this one it will have to be reset but curlier styles I can usually wear for multiple days unless it rainy. Sometimes I’ll just sleep in a hairnet and brush out the next morning and wear as is or style an updo

    I love how you styled this with a bow! It is the perfect balance between sexy (elongating the corner of your eye) and coy. 👏

    Your hair is absolutely beautiful. I curl my hair daily, but want to start trying pin curls and see how that turns out. The tricky thing is that I have long hair.

    I love watching all your videos! My only concern is that because you speak so softly (which I like!!), the music interferes? Other than that, just lovvvve the content!!!💕💕💕

    Your videos are literally the best! You’re great at Instructions and advice, i have one thing to ask is if you can do a 1940s curl using foam rollers? ☺️

    You can use this on day 2 or 3 hair?! Ooo that would be wonderful to learn :)

    • @mrstdupuy
      @mrstdupuy  Рік тому

      Yes! I love to reroll my hair with this method and find it easier on hair that has a bit of curl already

      I see! So on day two or three would I need to re-spray my hair and pin curl it in this pattern?
