This inspires me because I have a hard time doing the classic pin curl sets due to my hair being too thick. But I know Rita had thick Latina hair like me so I can probably do this set. 😊❤
Fantastic hair tutorial!!! I was thinking about how to wear my hair on my wedding day and this style is it! My hair is about 3-inches longer than yours and the front is cut in long layers so I’m sure I can make this style happen. I’m going to wear a soft ivory satin gown in a 1940s column style that flares out from the knees down with a short rounded train in back, long sleeves that ruche from the elbow to just a little over the wrist, a v-neck, a ruched empire bust-line and soft shoulder pads. I don’t want a veil but would love to wear a single large gardenia on the smoother side of my head. I’ll wear a white swarovski stones large oval pin at the bottom of my v-neck and a white swarovski stones wide bracelet on my right wrist over the sleeve - mimicking diamonds seen in 1940s films. But I’m not sure about earrings??🤔
Sounds gorgeous! Cluster earrings in rhinestones to complement your other jewelry would be lovely. Sounds like you got everything down for the big day! I love gardenias.
this has been really helpfull to me as i have started dressing more 40s/50s design clothes and also tomorrow im going to a 1940s weekend event. so thank you very much.
Wonderful video as always! I always find you explain the process in such a calming manner. If you'd be okay doing it, would you consider showing off how/what you use in order to preserve styles between days/sleeping? As in day 1 going onto day 2 hair where you wouldn't be using or sleeping in rollers as your hair is already styled. And how you have your hair keep shape/style without weighing it down with product continually? Apologies if this doesn't make much sense!
Beautiful style. Very womany. I find the sponge rollers so difficult to handle but you have them tamed!! Think I could do this with heated rollers but the I am aware the curl wont stay very long on my fine straight hair. Fun to do though.. Great work. Thank you for posting.
Lovely video, as usual,I find your tutorials to always be very helpful, especially since there aren't any detailed tutorials of old star's hairstyles. If you'd be willing to do it,I would really love to see a Young Queen Elizabeth hairstyle, circa 1940's.
Love your videos tonight i will set my own hair with sponge rollers for the first time can't wait to see the results wondering if I should brush or tease my hair. Can I wet my hair and use hairspray for setting....thank you much.
So excited you did the Rita Hayworth style I had asked about a while back! Looks just like my set I used to wear, I did pin curls though! Beautiful job! The front section truly is the most difficult to style and be accurate with it! Where did you find the shorts and shoes!?
Thank you! It’s a tough style for me since my hair type is nothing like hers but a great set regardless. The shoes are hand me downs but the shorts are from heydayvintage
I absolutely loved this look. It inspires me so much to try it, but I have super frizzy curly hair. Do you think that my roots will look good with this kind of style? Also, if I would brush out the curls just like you did, my hair would frizz up again. I assume that because your hair is straight it doesn't frizz when you brush it?
You are very beautiful, and your beautiful hairstyles and makeup 💄 ✨️ ❤️ 😍 💕 💖 totally bring ♥️ out your natural outer, and most importantly, inner beauty ❤️ 💖 I have to overcome some serious health problems, but I plan on becoming a cosmetologist, so that I can help all people look and feel their very best! You are such an amazing inspiration 💖 ❤️ 💕 💛 💗 ✨️ for me! Keep on being fabulous 👌 👏 👍 😍 💖 ✨️ 😍 🤩 👌 😘 😊 beautiful lady ❤️
It always amazes me how some vintage girls don’t curl their hair every night. I live in a super humid climate, so my hair looks like day three after only an hour or so
Yes humidity is the worst. I wear hairnets or secure styles with pins to cope with moisture. I imagine perms where popular back in the day to also help maintain styles with humidity
Just an idea, you should do a video of some of your favorite wardrobe items! ☺️
That’s a great idea! Thank you

From a man's POV, it seems like a lot of work. Also I have to say that the end result is beautiful and very feminine. Thank you for sharing
Rita Hayworth had the most beautiful long auburn hair that moved so well with her dancing. Nice video.

So fun watching you so perfectly capture vintage looks, complete with hairstyles, makeup & fashions.
Beautiful video. Rita's hair defied nature.
It’s did! One of my favorite styles ❤️

Thank you! I will have to look into her 40s styles ☺️
Thanks for Bobby pin suggestion. I just put my hair up and half the snaps fell off anyway lolol but the roots were loose so I like the suggestion
Very pretty. Going to try this!
Excellent tutorial! How do you preserve your curls until your next wash day?
Either in a net and scarf over night, or re rolling pincurls or rollers but I’ll do a video on this soon

@@mrstdupuy it’s definitely a hairstyle that I think only suits certain people. Most of us struggle with it lol!
Beautiful!
Love it❤

Some frizz is normal. Making sure the hair is smooth while rolling and using a pomade will help
I love it!!!
Thank you!

Thank for the video Do you know if we could use hot rollers with the lottabody lotion? Thanks
Please, what kind of comb is that? I don't think that I've ever seen a comb like that. Thank you very much in advance.
Very nice
