Ace and Snake had pink eyes in the first seasons. Ace's eyes became normal in the episode where the gang got super powers.
After the design changed for The Gangreen Gang, even Snake's eyes became normal, both in color and shape. I prefer Snake's design from the episode Buttercrush.

I wonder what ever happened to the rest of the gang by the time Ace joined Gorillaz 🤔 did they grow up and become upstanding citizens? Do any one of them still live in townsville? Did they have kids? Are they even alive? Ace turns 42 this year, so the rest of the gang should be between late 30s to early 40s, with Arturo being the youngest.
And what about the power puff girls? The girls would be 30 years old in 2023. I need me some lore
I wrote a story about Snake x Reader if you are interested. Links below. I also wrote 2 stories for Ace x Reader (one from ppg era and one from Gorillaz era) where I added the gang too. Since we don't have much info, I decided to write a bit about how I would imagine the gang after few years. In the Snake story I wrote about how he had enough of being made fun of by Ace so he leaves Townsville and forms his own gang called the Underground where they plan the biggest robbery. The reader/you find out and try to stop Snake. I had fun writing that. In the Gorillaz story 2D and Snake have a crush on the reader and Ace gets jealous.
Snake went on to become a university professor, Big Billy a chef at a five star French restaurant, Grubber a cirque du soleil performer and Arturo a political activist hoping to make improvements for the Hispanic community in Townsville. The gang still chills with each other quite frequently, however, and every Friday either hang out at the mall, a bar or face time if they can't meet in person. The Gangreen gang will always be tight!
As for the Powerpuff girls, Buttercup went on to form her own band (I think Fusionfall references this, but idk, I never played that game), Bubbles owns a bakery and Blossom became an intern at Dexter's Laboratory due to her fascination with science. The two eventually bond over their shared nerdiness and date. Yes, I ship them lol.

The reasons why the Gangreen Gang hated children & pick on them is a long await revenge for all the years the gang have been bullied themselves when they were younger.
(To them, every kid reminds them of the bullies that picked on them)
The cartoons nor the comics ever explored the Gangreen Gang's backstories, but they left us hidden puzzle pieces to put together that the Double G are classic cases of possible neglect, abuse, family issues, carrying sins of families, runaways, generational tramas, misjudgement, discrimination (because of their green skin), and torment.
Those are very heavy subjects for family cartoons (which is possibly the reason why the Gangreen Gang never got any flashbacks nor origins).

Every Ace fangirl I know always make their self-inserts and/or OCs be Punk/Rock/Emo girls.
For some reason I picture Ace's type of girl would be the opposite of him. A girl who is soft (but can stand up for herself), kind, beautiful, & pure hearted enough to melt even the toughest & coldest hearts, and would lead him to path of good (and make him blush like scarlet red like a radish 🤭).
The relationship would be something like a better version Danny & Sandy from "Grease" (without the latter ending dressing like a hooker & smoke to "keep their relationship better" ), or if the children of Roland & Rattfink (in this case Roland's daughter & Rattfink's son) fell in love.

It's from the Powerpuff Girls movie. The movie shows how the girls were created, prof Utonium got arrested and couldn't pick up the girls from gindergarten so they tried to go home on their own but got lost and they ran into The Gangreen Gang but got saved by Mojo.
