- I absolutely adored this audio clip from the Gorillaz Itunes Interview, so I decided to make an animatic out of it! This took roughly four days to make.
Also, I realize this audio takes place in Phase 3, but I decided to draw them in their Phase 4 clothing just because I wanted to draw 2D's high rising jeans.

When I watched this full interview for the first time I actually got scared when they started beating each other up.
I got terrified when I heard Murdoc chloroforming 2D...his voice was just...maniac sounding...

Look up Pirate Radio episode 4, by cosmicfae. Near the 30 minute mark 2D yells he's being held prisoner and calls for help. Murdoc knocks him out then as well. It's some nightmare fuel. Yeah, 2D has legit reasons to be pissed off.

Honestly, that scene right after the fight where Murdoc forces 2D to pass out has always given me shivers, and not like “oh that’s some nice music” shivers or “this is such cool voice acting” or whatever, but more of an uncomfortable feeling because 2D’s in such a vulnerable position *NO- SHUT UP YOU DIRTY-MINDED FIFTH GRADERS* and Murdoc is both going insane and is hopelessly intoxicated. It’s just- it’s a different thing for it to be implied and for it to be acted out.
Also why did he make those noises- that wasn’t breathing, that was like a really rabid squirrel or something
