Zoes stand up 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 I hope she know we gonna flood the comments we love to represent I’m glad you enjoyed the food
As you should!! Loved it! 🥰 ty!
What does that black rice taste like
@@mic_derin it’s really good can’t really describe what it taste like and it’s not that hard to cook either but you have to follow all steps if you miss a step it will turn left so buy it first then try to cook it afterwards
@@KissedByKen forgot the pikliz ma’am this Haitian give it a B- please try again with some pikliz then you’ll have the true Haitian meal but as an Haitian 🙏🏿 thank you for 🔥🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Where my zoes 🇭🇹 at!
Yasss represent!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🥰
Right here sak pase 🇭🇹😊
We’re here ! 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
👍👌🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Right here
Where the pikliz at, girl??? Did I miss it? No Haitian meal is complete without some 🔥pikliz, but that looks delicious. Tassot is goat and it's pronounced "Ta" like Ta-da! And "Ssot" like Oh, with a S in front! Enjoyed this and now I may have to go my local lady for a plate! 😋
i knowwww!! I need to get pikliz next time!! so sad I missed it for this one! Just got whatever they recommended me and forgot the pikliz! also thank you soo much for educating me!! 🥰
The sauce you're eating is the gravy, it's for the rice. And the other one is Taso cabrite
I'm glad you're enjoying our food, sis.
That makes me happy😁
It’s so good, so glad I did this! 🥰
Tassot and diri diondion
Sauce pois
U are missing the pikliz
yessir
Yes!!! We made it 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
P.S. Also hope glad you keeping your head up, mental health is important 🙏🏾
🥰 yess it is thank you!
Haitian food is the best food in the world 🌎 😋
lovedd it!
It's actually pretty nice to get to know the person behind the pictures. 💯 you are beautiful inside and out.
tysm!! 🙏🏽
The sauce is for your rice your missing the (pikliz) spicy vinaigrette coleslaw scotch bonnet peppers and onions
"Food so good you're trying to figure it out" love it!!! You are eating everything correctly.
I'm glad you enjoyed our food. You did great with the names, just a little corrections: the goat is TASSOT. You were missing the BIGGEST element for the griot and tassot: the "PIKLIZ"!
The sauce you dipped the griot in was actually for the rice. The pikliz is to spread over the tassot and griot, or you could dip them in the pikliz. When you have all the elements, you will literally have a SYMPHONY happening in you mouth.😉😊
Just moved to the US from Haiti two months ago for my masters degree and almost cried watching the video 🥺🥺🥺
I miss home and I miss Haitian food. I'd give my right hand for some legim right now.
You are lucky to have just come from Haiti, hopefully you can teach a class on good Hatian food.
Congrats on your masters!!!!
If u in NY or like Boston like a lot of Haitian jus Google a good spot ti cheri
Enjoy our food 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Soo good!!!

She did a cute lil dance trying the legume that’s how I knew she love it
New subscriber alert!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🚨
Definitely needed that pikiliz with the griot and Tassot it brings it to another level
I had lunch watching this video. Our first date was wonderful 😂 I will be watching all your video from now on 💯💯💯
Of course our food is very tasty especially our meat. We clean our meat with lemon, vinegar and salt. The black rice is pronounced in creole ( diri djon djon). And one of our favorite meat to eat is called griot
Sak Pa Se... That 🇭🇹 Haitian food be bomb, grew up on it... My OG makes theeee best rice 🍚 ever.... Send some ya boy way...
i was missing out! so glad I tried!
@@KissedByKen For sure... It don’t get no better...
The legume sous pwa (stew Bean) best eaten with a spoon in order rice legume dip the two sous pwa my favorite
What makes the black rice black is dried mushrooms we call it rice with mushrooms in Creole.
Yesssssss girl🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 se nou li ye, sil pa ayisyen li pa bon🙅🤣 I'm just going to say it ( we the best) in DJ khaled voice 😂 enjoy our food✊
Yass girl

Omg when she said ' that's not beans' she took me out😂😂😂😂 That's how we make out beans girl😂😂😂😂 it's like a puree
Tasso goat (kabrit).. you pronounce like the word lasso (like a rope lasso). Tas-so
Legume is pronunced lay-gim. You can make it with meat or without LOL you’re not bugging ! So happy to see you enjoyed girl, it’s def similar to Dominican food 🤤🤤🤤. You should add pikliz next time it’s our hot pepper, I think you’d enjoy it on the fried pork!
Ps, I def googled the spot based on the number cuz I need a new spot in BK LOL so thank you 🤣🤍🇭🇹
Have you done a Thai mukbang yet ? 🤤

Wow this video make my mouth watering,I really love those food...
The black rice is Diri Djon Djon which is black mushroom rice. The fried goat meat is Tassot de Cabrit.
Nice!!! I love the way you eat! 💕is so 🔥
Ty!! 🙏🏽
I was watching this like. put the sauce on the rice! lol 👍🏾🇭🇹
The BEST OF THE BEST! SALUTES TO U.
Love it 👏🏾🇭🇹, im now subscribe and sharing this vid
You should’ve poured that bean sauce on the legume and rice, the perfect combination
Your right you have to put the veggies and the beans and the rice together
I’m glad you enjoyed your food. I’d like to know where did you get the food?
Awesome Mukbang video, you sure be eating real good..the one and only gorgeous Kendra 🔥😍
thank you!!
I always say you're my little sister in my head 🇭🇹😍
That does look good. Do southern soul food next!!! 🗣🗣🗣 (no chitlins though)
lol will add this to my mukbang list!
Usually the sauce goes over the rice and the meat, and the black is actually called mushroom rice, because it’s made with mushrooms aka djon djon. Also that is black bean sauce, is creole it’s called sòs pwa nwa, and you put it over the white rice (diri blan) and you eat it together with the légume. So what’s in the légume it has, eggplant, carrots, onion, cabbage, green bell peppers, scallions, chayote, garlic, parsley, spinach, string beans, tomato pasta, haitian epis, chicken bouillon, watercress, that’s optional. And you can use whatever meat you want, some do it with oxtail, whole crabs, beef, turkey etc..... when it comes to the haitian soda, they all similar to the other Caribbean island drinks, also you should try haiti patties, it so bomb, definitely gotta get it fresh right out the oven, and try the red snappers, and also you was saying tasso wrong lol but that cool tho. And the reason the meats is that way is cause the cleaning process. Oh definitely gotta try haitian mac and cheese, it’s call (makawoni au graten) omg so bomb! And also the famous haitian soup joumou. We have this everyone year January 1 to remember our independence since 1804
Yasss thank you for educating me! I actually didn’t know that about black rice. I never googled it or anything! I kind of like the sauce to dip tho lol but next time I eat this I’ll try it over the food! Thank youuu!! Appreciate it!
@@KissedByKen you’re welcome, and I’ll give you more feedback lol I’m watching at the same time I’m writing this
The sauce is made with tomato paste, broth of the meat, fresh spices, hot peppers but it is to put on the rice and lettuce.
Ummmmm. Yep that's what all my friends say when I introduce them to different Haitian food. 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
I love the video! Next time put the black bean on the white rice, add the legume on top and eat it all together. Also try the sauce with the rice. U can eat both rice with the sauce. 🤗🤗
Omg I want Haitian food right now lol I'll try that next time. I liked having the sauce as a dip though. I saw a fellow youtuber who is Haitian do this lol thank you for watching
It's definitely a great dip. I'm actually cooking now making black rice 😋
You look sleepy while eating😋😋😋 which means you're definitely eating Haitian food....hope you had nothing planned after this because you're going to pass out🤣🤣😇😇😇😴😴😴😴😴....
Love the video!!
Where did you get the food from? Would love to try that location...
Legume(pronounced Lay gee mmm) and Tasso(Tah so). The legume is made 1 of 4 ways with 1. Chayote squash cabbage, carrots, and watercress. 2. Sub Chayote with eggplant 3. Mixture of Chayote and eggplant 4. Add green papaya to either of other 3. And it can include meat(pork, beef, turkey) and seafood(crab, shrimp, conch, lobster). Black rice diri djon djon(d jawn) is a dried black mushroom rice.
I can see that you definitely know what you are talking about bc my parents make legume all of the ways you stated except for the one with just eggplant. They also do different proteins so sometimes it’s meat other times it’s with crab
You need to try Haitian bouillon and soup joumou (freedom soup).
The red sauce is for the rice always but of course you eat the way you like
Yess boo i live in brooklyn where did u get your food from? looks good....
Yessssss it be hitting.. I'm Bahamian and I be messing it up I always get giro always
Yes, represent haiti 🇭🇹
🇭🇹🙌🏽
Also our black bean sauce is purée. And we usually leave some beans to add to it. What is the name of that restaurant and where is it?
The sauce is for the rice and they were supposed to give you the piklez for the griot but if its good to you enjoy it the way you want it
This looks amazing! Can anyone tell me what restaurant this is?
The word is Tasso like Tassel you put on your graduation 👨🎓 cap
You Good. You pronounce everything correct
Im haitian ooooo this sound so good Ima get some tomorrow

Such a beautiful lady, the food looks delicious, hopefully you enjoy it. Haitian food is always 👌❤
Not me missing my mother's cooking. Nothing better than having Haitian food from your own mom 😭
Yup My mom is so good at making food 🇭🇹 👍❤
Yeah I’m Haitian !!! REPESENT PLEASE !!!
Haïtian food is so delicious
Fried goat is pronounced TASO ( t - ah so )
The bean sauce is SAUCE PWA, , by the way fried pork is the only fried meat called griot, but all other fried meats are called TASO followed by the types of animal, like TASO KABRIT (goat), TASO BEF (beaf), TASO POUL (Chicken) , TASO KODEN (turkey)
And yes always have the pikleze, yes the beans are made that way very flavorful
My mouth watering
She got the COLA LACAYE!!!!!
soo good!
@@KissedByKen I'ma put you on... If you liked Cola Lacaye you gotta try this next... "Cawy Watermelon Soda," Haitians drink that like crazy.
Nice.

@@cindyrolle4714 it is a mixture of vegetables consisting of eggplants, cabbage, carrots, spinach, watercress, seasoned and cooked with mostly beef or smoke meat. It's delightful and eating over white rice, and stew beans.
@@grateful9672 oh my sister's are half haitian thats the only thing i wouldnt eat
@@cindyrolle4714 oh okay, its really good, can also be done without meat.

Ty! 🙏🏽
Your welcome
Keep doing ur thing
The seasoned sauce is made from the meat broth. They add tomatoe paste to give it the red color. It actually comes with the rice. You pour it on top of the rice, mix it well and eat it. The meat is really dipped in Pikliz... 🤦🏽♀️how come you had no Pikliz???? ☹
Girrrrl le-ge-m
Like lagoon
Sauce on the rice with the bean sauce, and legume...
Child
Big fan of you. I bet you're fun to hang around with, there's just something about you 💕
tysm! 🙏🏽
@@KissedByKen You're welcome beautiful ❤️
You remind of a lady I met in the outlet mount Pocono Pennsylvania that was soooooo nice but I was scared to ask for her number but you really look like her
Seriously Haitian food and Dominican food is like 90% the same. The biggest difference is that Haitian food just to be spicier in general but pretty much everything has a similar preparation the rice the refried beans the stewed chickens the stewed beef, fried pork the soups even the sweets or similar just with different names.
FYI, you're still vegetables are called legume.... It's absolutely incredible on white rice with the refried beans as you obviously discovered as you started humming after that first bite!
They are the same, but not. Flavors so different
Same food cooked different
👍🏾
Tassot (goat) pronounced [ Tah- Soo ]
❤✌🏾
🙏🏽
The sauce is for the rice
