- Is there anything better than snow falling and mochi flying through the air towards you? I don't think so. The Ouchijuku Snow Festival in Aizu area is magical.

The opening drone footage and ambient sounds were enough to make me hit the like button, and I have zero regret
love those looking-straight-down drone shots
That felt much longer than 14 minutes...in the best way possible. It's like when you're walking out of the movie theater after a film ends and it's a bit jarring because the experience was so beautiful and immersive that the film almost feels more real than where you are now, and part of you is still 'there.' Gorgeous shots and editing as per usual. What a magical place!
Oh what a flattering comment! Haha thank you so much!
Hannah, I'm half Japanese, living in Spain. My girlfriend and I always watch your videos and get so inspired to travel to all those beautiful places of my ふる里. I go to Japan sometimes, and even though I'm not very attached to the Japanese culture and people (being only half Japanese is kinda an existencial crisis lol) I'm extremely nostalgic when I see those parts of the video when you're at the train station and there's an ambient sound that transports me to Japan again. I may not feel Japanese as a Japanese social being, but I feel that connection to the nature and that place called Japan. Thank you a lot for letting me go home for a while with your gorgeous films.
I am Japanese and living in America.I just miss Japan so much
.Thank you for sharing part of your amazing experience! It is a great video! and You are very beautiful!
ハンナさん、いつも素晴らしい動画をありがとう😊Thank you🇦🇺🇯🇵
hannahさん、ドロ-ンを使用した映像編集凄すぎです。プロ並みです!!本当に素晴らしいです。
I watched literally tons of Japanese tourism/vlog videos on youtube and yours is the best.
I can feel the atmosphere through the lens of your camera and it is amazing how you capture the moment.
when you do full screen on a video. that's called love and commitment.
This was so beautiful that I actually cried, lol. We don't have snow or festivals like this where I live, it looks so beautiful. I could feel the cold through this video alone though.
i have lost count of the number of times i paused the video just to admire the stunning snowscape. i know where to go next year when life (hopefully) goes back to normalcy. thank you very much for sharing this.
The beauty of your being and the scenery there have created a very beautiful combination.
I have started watching your videos twice a day because the first run it will be at the office when I listen to the beautiful music in the background, then at home I must rewatch on the TV just to see what on earth it was I was hearing.
That slowmo action during the snowfall... plus those panning drone shots...these visuals makes me forget about our lockdown. Thank you for putting this vid up! It is totally much appreciated and needed for sanity's sake around the world.
i love how each scene faded to black. i found myself saying "it's still going!" this literally was such a joy to watch. i teared up no lie.
seeing such a celebration of culture, community, and life was exactly what i needed with everything going on right now. thank you.
Love your little movies, at this time of no travel, I vicariously visit places through your videos.
My thanks to you and other film makers like you.
Lots of love from Lismore, New South Wales.
寒いからこそ、暖かいものが身と心に沁みるのね。
Finally a video using a train pass that is not exclusive to foreigners! The views of Aizu-wakamatsu and Ouchijuku is just breathtaking. Looking forward to taking Tobu's Revaty for these spots.
This would have to be one of your best videos. The experiences you shared, the videography, music, editing were all just sublime. You took us through an emotional landscape and set us down gently at the end. Amazing.
Thanks so much Greg! I think it’s one of my best too :)
@@CurrentlyHannah I miss my regular travels to Japan so much Hannah as I consider it my spiritual home. I won't be able to get there for a while now that the world has changed so much. I am sure that in time I will return and visit many of the places you have shared with your audience. Keep being you. G
It's good to see you are so excited about snow still. I saw my first real snow in December in Sapporo. It was so awesome. I can't wait to go back to Japan again.
Haha I will always love snow!
Perfection, all of it. What a superb way to spend 14 minutes and 24 seconds
the zen/calming B roll and vlog balance in this video is perfect
Damn...I am blown away by the cinematics, editing, pacing of these last 2 Aizu/Fuko videos. I could watch this all day. Such good timing and a welcome escape from being cooped up in NY.
Thank you so much :)
Okay wow. Ive seen many many videos of Japan and Japanese hotels. This one tops the list. I'm absolutely blown away by how incredible this place looks
I thought the first 60 seconds intro was just beautiful, then the rest just bowled me over.
I love the calm vibe and realistic delivery of the content. So many travel vloggers try to be cutesy and/or laugh incessantly. Thank you Hannah for sharing your experience as a regular, friendly person!
I didn't quite search for this particular channel or the context to be honest. I just happened to found out about this channel & I'm really glad how it turned out. Loved it.
Ok, I think I have been moved to tears by every one of your videos that I've watched. Just. So many feelings. Kind of a mix of mono no aware and overwhelming love. Ahh, so good!
素晴らしいビデオですね😍 ありがとうございます💗
So many great sights and sounds and not enough superlatives to describe them. Perfect for those of us who are chilling at home and looking forward to our own adventures when things get back to normal. 👍
It’s so beautiful I’m moved to tears🥺 I want to experience this someday
Wow! Wow! Wow! Your cinematography and music are mesmerizingly beautiful. Japan is my favorite country to visit and I thank you for bringing me back there through your videos.

This video is a pure blessing to our eye and ear.
Thank you for making such an amazing video, as I commented on previous video Aizuwakamatsu is my winter family trip destination for many years. You have captured very well. Someday I want to visit again.
you're honestly the most underrated UA-camr. thank you for making such beautiful pieces of art
大川荘だね。楽しんでくれたようでなにより。

Thank You for sharing such a wonderful show. It all brings back some of my own memories.
Beautifully captured Hannah. What an awesome place, experience and hotel. That place had to speak to you.....Hotel Hannah. Thanks as always for sharing this.
@8:35 That is an awesome hotel! One of the best interiors I've seen.
I'm considering a trip to Japan with wife. I've been to Aizu many years ago. I think I would like to just go to to Aizu. So rustic and beautiful
I am blown away! This cinematography is one of the best you’ve ever made! Everything was on point and engaging! Absolute props to you :) much love from Australia
Absolutely gorgeous!
The first 30 seconds makes me hit the like button. Your videos always on point, Hannah. Keep it up!
This video has been a ray of sunshine in the confinement, I actually neaded to cry and didn't know it and your amazing experience helped get the emotions out, even if it's of joy.
Thank you
Another triumph - your videos are so good - they look like a slick commercial product, expertly edited and the pacing and your vaired choice of viewpoints are always so brillantly done and the sound and music so good too.
At 7:22 are those candles inside of snow blocks? The whole thing looks very serene and straight out of a magical movie!
Wow! What an amazing trip! So much snow… (my daughter and I visited Tokyo, Kanazawa, Shirakawa, Takeyama, Amanohashidate, Kyoto, and Nara over 4 weeks in January 2019 and didn’t have any snow anywhere. I know! We thought what is going on? Still an awesome holiday of course) … Anyway: wow! the festival, the hotel, wow! That was truly memorable for you and your friends.
Amazing video. Having watched your videos for quite awhile, your cinematography and editing have become amazing! The sound edit in this one was fantastic! Can’t wait to visit Japan once this situation has calmed down,
Your point of view makes you aware of the very small charm of the earth that no one else, nor the Japanese, is aware of. Viewers know they are everywhere in our island nation.
What a beautiful place! It's on my bucket list now.
Hi Hannah, thank you for the beautiful video. You have the gift to catch the beautiful short moments. Everything I like about traveling in Japan I find here. So nice.
Oh, my goodness!! That hotel and onsen looked amazing! Thanks for the great second-hand experience Hannah ... especially while we're going through this bizarro world isolation in the U.S. Always enjoy your stuff.
Looks like such an amazing and relaxing trip! The view from the onsen 😍
Absolutely incredible video log. Thanks for sharing your adventure Hannah.
Your best video so far Hannah! Excellent framing, dramatic slow motions.. Your voice is soothing too if I may say so. I can't wait to watch your next adventures.
Your videos are always so magical and mesmerizing! I love your creativity, storytelling, and cinematics :)
Agora que percebi, o Hiro foi junto!
Your videos put a smile on my face...so awesome! Thank you.
Been travelling through you for a while now and during this time of isolation I am now more than every. Thank you for your time in making these beautiful, transporting videos
I’m so glad they’re helping. Hoping I can tide everyone over till we can all travel again!
Your production quality has improved so much over the past bit. Keep up the good work. Fantastic videos.
I have dreamed to first go to college in the US (where I'm from) but then after I graduate, I want to move to Japan. I have wanted to do this since my first visit to Japan (when I was 7) and now I am 14! Your channel has taught me so much about Japan, what it's like to be a foreigner there and what to expect, so THANK YOU! ❤️
Drone footage is super as it magically takes you into this snow country in Fukushima. The Japanese style hotel looks like one of a kind, and all the food they serve...lots of mochi!😋 I really enjoyed this vlog next to your Murakami’s. Thanks for sharing your discovery of Japan’s beauty through your journey in Aizuwakamatsu.👍
I remember the legend lost in the night of time. The legend of Samurai Mochi. An Aussie who conquired Japan.
Just wow so beautiful. This video was therapeutic to watch down to the end!
Wow! What an amazing hotel.. so beautiful and modern.
Mind blown. Top of my to do list now I’ve seen this video! Thanks for uploading
The onsen looks so relaxing
Thank you for such a great video
Wonderful video as usual. Thanks a lot for your work.
The only thing better than an onsen, is one with a view of a beautiful, snow covered valley.
Astounding! And you have perfectly captured the local vibe and the giving nature of the local people. I was there at the oldest ryokan for only a couple of days the next month but I will definitely go back once this crisis is passed.
Amazing cinematography of some pretty beautiful places. Can't wait to visit one day. Thank you :)
How incredibly beautiful. We had plans to travel through Tohoku these Easter Holidays from Brisbane. You’re video I guess is the next best thing to actually being there.
Absolutely excellent. Can’t say much more... I hope you do an hour long video of things like this. I would pay for it! Excellent!
These most recent videos- just wow. You’re setting a new standard. 👍
Hi Hannah! I know you've said your travel videos are so much work to edit and that they don't always get the view numbers, but I appreciate them so much!! I used to live in Japan and while I learn a lot about new places watching your videos, I really enjoy them for transporting me back, with feelings of calm, wonder, and a sense of nostalgia. I like your thoughtful commentary videos, too, don't get me wrong! Your footage captures a spirit of Japanese culture that I miss and thank you for allowing me to relive. :-)
Such a beautiful life you’re living. Thank you!
Another magical video. Perfect in every aspect. Very creative, picturestrong, emotional, funny, informative.....and the music tops it all. You are simply the best. Carry on if you like! Many of us are watching....😊👍 Ps: I like how you ' switch' moods from slow to fast, light to melancholy, deep to fun, enchanting to freeing....
So perfect! I am brazilian and lived 3 years in Japan. Still get impressed whenever I see videos about there.
Loving the Twosetviolin shirt Hannah.
This is a beautiful and interesting video as always, and it's so well edited.
The snow festival looks beautiful and that hotel is definitely going on my travel bucket list, it looks amazing.
Thank you Hannah for the video, it help me during this quarantine
ちょうど良い静けさが有るのが、解る。集め過ぎると騒がしだけで。🦠🦠🦠w
I have been watching all your videos since long. I am like, "I don't want to share this channel with anyone else here". It's kind of my happy place. I love the vibes of your videos, it's very much similar to that of another favourite of mine, named Karaig Adams.
ドローンでの撮影、素晴らしい!so good!
We make a firm style mochi, flatten, and when after it has cooled down, we fry it so it is crispy on the outside and gooey in the inside. Cut it into strips and while still warm, dip in molasses like you would with potato fries with ketchup. Mostly served as a comfort food during the winter time.
This is really beautiful footage thank you Hannah and so appreciate.
私は日本住んでいます🇯🇵
色なところいてるですね!
動画ありがとうございます😊
watching this video filled my heart with so much joy and peace. Love your videos as always Hannah!
I like seeing Aizuwakamatsu videos because my father's parents are from Iwaki City Fukushima Prefecture. I would like to visit relatives living there and also visit some friends.
Nice work. Really loving the style of your vids. The slow mo, Drone shots, low depth of field shots, editing and music supporting your vids are top notch. Good on ya mate !
What a great way to be entertained while in isolation :D
This video is pure joy. Those drone shots just gave me a well needed sense of calm. And I swear that I would probably appreciate snow more in a place like Japan, unlike here in NYC haha.
this is exactly what i needed to see right now thank you ! everything is so beautiful
Your videos just keep getting better and better! It would be super helpful if you could put in the info when this was filmed.
