I have one and it has the exact same failures (and with the same frequency) as the one in the video. Mine was from an early batch and I heard that the early batches had some out of spec parts. However, seeing that your gun went in for repair three different times doesn't give me any confidence. FWIW, I also have a model JHP .45 that runs perfectly.
So, i guess I'll explain my experience. First off, i bought it @ Classic Firearms new roughly 2 years ago and have yet to shoot it. All shots have been from 2 different techs. They've shot it more than me😂. Bought some Armscor ammo and decided to try it out. (This was before i ever sent it in for service) Instantly FTF, Double Feed, etc. Decided to set it aside since i had trouble with it at the house earlier that day. Figured I'd just send it back to Hi-Point and let them diagnose it, etc. The Tech checked everything as good except for the Ejector Keys and replaced them. He test fired 3 full mags. I looked it over and noticed the back inside of the slide was somewhat melted. It was not there when i sent it in😂. So they sent the 🔫 back with a slide coating defect that they caused testing it out.😅. Sent it back the next day. They replaced they slide, replaced ejector keys again😂. Replaced firing pin springs. Trigger. And main spring. Lol. This is suppose to be a brand new 🔫 . I've yet to try it out. Wish me luck. Ha
Da'mn! Did u lube it before this video? Just curious. Idk if that would have made a difference as I've yet to fire mine. But i did notice A LOT of surface rubbing (shiny spots) in certain area's and wondering if it needs to be really oiled/greased in those areas to function properly. Whole story behind my JXP😂. It's quite hilarious.
We did not, initial tests are always just out of the box. Follow up videos it was lubricated, and that did help a bit. It is starting to run a bit better as the round count goes up.
I’m still amazed that people keep buying these pieces of crap. I have owned 2 995 carbines and both went click more than bang. I’d recommend a $150 knife instead or a Heritage Rough rider
@@BartoniusAustinius lies! If you throw your HiPoint and miss the bad guy the Zamik (Chinesium) slide will break but your sky won’t break and you can throw that the bad guy again and again
The entire comment section is completely ridiculous! All My friends, including me who just started using High Point, have had no problems and they are amazing and American made! Snobs don't buy em I will!

I have run over 300 rounds through mine S&B....Blazer Brass...Magtech and a box of SIG V Crown JHPs have had Zero issues with mine ...NONE love it!!
I am anxiously awaiting the comments from the king of hi point shills, KDS himself
I see the problem! He isn’t holding it correctly, turn it sideways my guy
@phillipamerson1672 you may be on to something, we will have to give it a try

I bought one of these new, nothing but jams. Cool idea, cheap gun, but wasn't worth the constant malfunctions.
Send it back in. Have them fix it. Everything is free

@itsjustjoe3790 there's no question better options are available.
Still better than a SCCY
