This camera angle was not used in 2001 - 2002 - 2004 - 2005.
The race did not take place in 2003 and 2006.

Stationary perspective of maggots and Becketts. Soooo hard to find anything like that on UA-cam that isn't an onboard, aerial, or following wide pan shot

Still SPA, at Raidillon as the cars come over the hill, the angle from the other side of the hill
V10 is just pure soundgasm
V8 also pretty awesome, but as soon as you get to 2014 the video is just muted...
It would be great if they brought back the V10's but unfortunately time has moved on, it would have been interesting to see that era of cars on slick tyres and when you consider the weight differences between then and now I think the old cars would be faster than today's ones.
@@markgallagher5908they will never bring back an inefficient and heavy engine, which is weaker than todays engines
The fact that drivers have gone side by side into that corner is insane to think about. Textbook definition of fearless.

Man the majority of F1 cameras don't do these cars speeds' justice. Wish they had more one-shot angles from the sidelines like the angle shown in the video, absolutely insane!! Also praying these cars get louder over the years :(
Next regs will be slightly louder due to removal of the MGU-H which is in the exhaust.

Eau Rouge is the left-hand kink at the bottom of the hill. The uphill right-left is Raidillon.

Great content again! I think the angle looking back from Copse has had some great shots, Hamilton in the rain, the 2021 crash and some winning moments from earlier.

Those V6’s have improved over time, now if it could be a V10 Turbo Hybrid.
Dont know how you lot still dont understand that the hybrid system is the problem. And a V10 Turbo would never work in an F1 car. It's either Turbo V6 or NA V10.

V10 turbo hybrid? That makes no sense. It is not the amount of cilinders that gave those cars the distinct sound, it was the fact that they were naturally aspirated and could rev up to 18.000 rpm
That car would have to be an absolute tank. They're already huge, imagine the engine being 60% larger.

Actually whats impressive is how basically all pre-DRS cars from 1996 onwards had to run low downforce setups at Spa and still took Eau Rouge flat, especially with grooved tyres
They didn´t run it flat tho
Villeneuve proved that some years later in the BAR as he crashed trying to go flat
@@shikkoba4310 that was in 1998, first year with grooved tyres. Lap times increased across the board that year. By 2001/2002 the cars took Ea Rouge flat again

itd be better if the camera was before eau rouge so you can watch the cars change direction from turning left then right going up the hill. ive seen it before and it gives you a much better sense of the forces on the driver

Even 2015 was a huge sound improvement over 2014. God 2014 was bland.

i gotta say those v6 cars sound pretty cool
but no they do not sound better than all the other generations
Every once in a while on a rainy day I look at the onboards of the V6 era and think to myself "eh it's not too bad, and at least early on the cars weren't so big" despite all the costs and gimmicks associated with this powertrain. Then I watch a video like this and get to 0:46, and reality of the past hits you like a truck. These powerplants suck. If you really had to go for a 6 cylinder configuration, inline would probably be preferable to V6 both reliability and sound wise.
Like you just watch a race at a place like Singapore in 2010 when they still had small glossy cars, and it just feels like a totally surreal atmosphere compared to now. Even the audio mixing doesn't feel the same, it sounds so muffled and monaural today compared to how you could just feel the cars crisply zipping around in all directions with surround sound speakers or headphones when they switched to high definition broadcasting.
V6 era is the worst thing ever happened for F1
And they're here to stay.

@@FranciscoFJM 10 years, only 1 year had the competiton. %10 ratio for a competitive season. In v8 era it was %50. So I moved on. IMSA is way better.
It’s not the camera angle that’s the point. These shots, year by year, from this one vantage point, gives us the sound portrait of an F1 engine change. After 2013 they sound like a tame lawnmowers, not a racing POWER PLANT.

Putting the post 2014 F1 cars up against the pre 2014 cars in such a way is unfair, i dont even mind the V6 Hybrids for how they sound. Its the growl vs the scream.

You should, they added dream team and fantasy points to the F1 games now. If you get lucky when opening packs you may get an epic colored border Max or Hamilton card to put on your roster! I got mine after only buying 20 packs (like 1/8 of the price compared to if you buy one with good stats from another player on black market).
