I don't think Chester realized how much of an impact he truly had on others... I've suffered from major depression since I was about 17 yrs old... Linkin Park definitely gave me a place to turn to during my darkest days and continue to do so... Mental illness definitely needs to be taken seriously... Especially in the times we face now.
My wife's official position is still "fuck chester". Not because she doesnt like him, but because we were gonna see them live like 3 months after he pulled his bullshit. And because of that all she ever says is "fuck you chester" when they come on the radio. She is still hurting I think.
It's crazy listening to the lyrics in so many Linkin Park songs after Chester's passing. The guy was crying for help :( RIP
“I’m strong on the surface, not all the way through “, never a more relatable lyric for me. LP puts feelings into words beautifully. Miss’em. Another great reaction ❤️
💔
This song hits so different ever since he passed away 😢
I have noticed a lot of songs from LP it's almost like it was an ongoing cry for help from Chester throughout the lyrics even like the newer song Heavy and the song One More Light it's intense and so sad. Chester also did an interview once talking about Depression and how when it gets to a certain point it is hard to completely suppress it as it just keeps resurfacing.
I used this song for a tribute video to my video prodction teacher Mr. Larson, He passed away from pancreatic cancer. I showed the video to my video production class, his family, and all the other teachers in my school. I miss him everyday and he is inspiring me to go get a degree in video production
I really really appreciate the Linkin park reactions keep em coming
Thank you 🔥🖤

Leave Out All The Rest is from Minutes to Midnight, the band’s third album, whilst Waiting for the End is from A Thousand Suns the band’s fourth album.
Mike Shinoda wrote the lyrics and never told Chester what he wrote it about, but we also know that Mike wrote Breaking The Habit for Chester, I recommend that one too
I remember sometimes last year I was going back on a Linkin Park music marathon and really started to pay attention to their lyrics. I mean I knew the lyrics to all their songs (been a fan since the early 2000's) but I started to really pay attention and realize halve the songs they sing was like a cry for help. This song really hit me hard with foreshadowing .
3:45 their music video is made based by the movie they'd featured OST, Sunshine (2007).
but the song also featured in Twilight at the end credits.
My favorite Linkin Park song i relate so deeply to their music..... We miss you Chester RIP
I love watching people react to Linkin Parks music, Chester voice and lyrics helps so many people around the globe. Music truly is something that unifies us all especially for those of us that connect so deeply with the messages behind the songs.
This song, those lyrics hit me every time I hear them. I didn't want to go in and listen, but I wanted to see your reaction.
Please keep reacting to this band. Thank you for the video!
I love the lyrics and his voice...
I've had depression since 13, I'm 21, it's so hard and his message has been in songs since the beginning. I'm sorry that it's close to your heart, I wish we could all be happy.

I really really like watching people discovering Linkin Park step by step and appreciating the different ways they went. If this song hits you in a special way, then I would recommend listening and reacting to 'One more light' but be prepared cause this will hit like a truck. Great work and have fun on every other song on Linkin Park, cause everyone is worth it.
First time seeing your reactions. Im with you girl. I could care less when a "celebrity" dies. But Chester and Anthony Bourdain hit me hard. They were heros to me.
@1:24, That is exactly why I've always said that Chester was an Angel when he sings, and a demon when he screams 🤟✌️🥰💯❤️RIP LUV💞
Keep an eye out for Linkin Park in October, it will be Hybrid Theory's 20th Anniversary and I believe they're planning a release for it.
Thank you 🔥🖤
Damn girl, you’ve reacted to a ton of LP! Didn’t even realize! Great job finding all of these! Mourning the loss of my best friend right now. Been searching and listening to this song and all it’s variations. Yours came up in the top 10 so congrats!
"Points of Authority" from their first(and best)album,Hybrid Theory.
Great reaction as always
We all miss him.
Fun fact: The music video for this song was inspired by the British sci-fi movie Sunshine.
27 here. Diagnosed at 19. Wellbutrin helps but I feel like it either starts to wear off or you just build a tolerance to it. I remember listening to LP Hybrid Theory around 2003 and just rocking out to them. I wasn't really listening to the lyrics at all. A few years later, 2007 to be exact, I was walking home from school. My backpack weighed a ton because I had to bring my textbooks both home and to school each day. Why? I don't know. We never read through the whole thing. We just read individual sections of specific chapters. I eventually just started leaving my textbooks at home since each teacher had a stock of textbooks.
I'm getting off track. I was walking home and it was 2007, which would have made me 13 at the time. I decided to listen to the new LP album at the time. The top song was "What I've Done". Dude, I rocked out to this like no other. Imagine some kid stomping and dancing his way down the sidewalk of an empty suburb. That was me at the time. Like pretty much everyone, my music taste changed over the years. I stopped listening to LP shortly after. It wasn't even a decade later when I read online that Chester passed. Memories flooded my head. Memories of listening to LP while drinking soda way too late into the night at a friends house, memories of trying to land my first kickflip and feeling like the best skater in the world. Memories of sitting in my room and listening to what he was saying and actually kind of understanding it.
Here I am at 27. I just recently started listening to this band from my childhood again. Except this time it doesn't really bring back happy memories.
I'm a lot older than you, so my LP-experience started when I was in university, or on the brink of going. I'd lost a bit track of them, too, but at the time I was probably a proper fan, with their CDs in my collection and all. On the radio, I'd usually hear the new single of theirs (good station - they always played them!) but it never sparked enough interest to buy an album. Like you, I started to really pay attention again when I heard Chester had died, and I was shocked how much I'd missed of their work.
So, long story short - I get what you're saying about the sad memories that surface, but if you can, try to find the songs that you hadn't heard before and be happy to discover them. Even though it's shitty as f*ck that we needed a tragedy to do it, it's still a good experience, and there are many songs that aren't as heavy. (I certainly can't recommend Heavy to make you feel better. Wow, can't listen to it even to this day. Whole album, really, is still a big "nope, too soon" for me. Fuck.)
Wish you the best.
I relate to to words he’s saying I feel like his songs weren’t just speaking for himself but I feel like he was speaking for some many people and 3 years after his death he’s speaking for us
You really need to see Linkin Park

Thank you! 🔥🖤
I can definitely relate with your reaction/feelings listening to this song!
You can hide mental/emotional illness only so much. We try to protect those we care about by keeping it concealed..."staying strong" so that they won't worry.
Thanks for sharing your reaction - your thoughts & feelings!
This song always reminds me of my father it means so much to me
Think this and One More Light must have been extremely personal for him. He tried suicide before and I this was the point when he know he was going to try it again. Little did he know man. Can't still believe he's gone. Chester and LP were such a rock for me when I was growing up.
when i first seen twilight heard this song during the credits beautiful song
Great reaction Abi! Subbed x
It’s such a powerful song, especially considering how Chester’s story ended, the music video was actually inspired by the Danny Boyle film Sunshine.
“Our sun is dying. Mankind faces extinction.
Seven years ago the Icarus project sent a mission to restart the sun, but that mission was lost before it reached the star.
Sixteen months ago, I, Robert Capa, and a crew of seven left earth frozen in a solar winter. Our payload: a stellar bomb with a mass equivalent to Manhattan Island. Our purpose: to create a star within a star.
Eight astronauts strapped to the back of a bomb. My bomb. Welcome to Icarus II." It’s an R rated psychological thriller disguised as a Sci-Fi disaster movie, I recommend it, like Boyle’s earlier film 28 days later, it stars Cillian Murphy this time in the role of brilliant physicist Robert Capa.
Want more linkinpark reaction....
Love from India❤
I rember last year I kept seeing this song in my recommended last year when I started listening to Linkin Park I waited until my Birthday to listen to it, but it was a grave mistake. I've never felt such sadness before and couldn't get through the second verse. It took me months before I could bring myself to listen to the rest of the song.
Love all your Linkin Park Reactions ❤️ please keep them going 🤘🏽 Linkin Park wrote all there songs and like a lot of bands they have collaborations with people who help take part in the writing process with them as well 💯 Fly High and Rest Easy Chester we miss and love you brother ❤️🙏🏼🎙 Great Reaction as always ❤️
Linkin Park's songs were written by Mike, Chester and Brad (guitarist) for the most part. Mike usually did the bulk of it. Chester and Brad wrote a few songs and choruses and would help with lyric ideas. The other guys in the band mainly just read over lyrics and would suggest changes where they thought were necessary. But if someone asked me who wrote their songs, the short answer would be Mike, Chester and Brad. Although it's interesting because you hear Chester sing certain lines that Mike wrote, but you'd think that Chester wrote them. Mike would write lyrics from Chester's pov and when he'd give them to Chester, Chester would be like "dude, you literally read my mind!" which is always amazing to me. They were such close friends and when it comes to the lyrics Mike wrote for Chester it really shows
Wow, I didnt know that!
Thank you 🔥🖤

Thank you Josue!
Very haunting, can't help but love it!
I've had this one in my head all day!
Btw: I remember listening to just about anything Linkin Park made because I loved Chester's voice, but I remember constantly thinking 'this man needs help, I mean, it's clear he is really unhappy! Someone needs to aknowledge this and help the man'... So when reports came of his suicide, I was really sad, obviously, but not surprised.. Sadly... The hints were there in his music all along... RIP you amazing man!!! You will be forever missed! :(
Don't be afraid, leave out all the rest song i like it, i cant feel it, and, abi youre so cute

To me, it has less of a Star Trek feel and much closer to the 2007 Danny Boyle Movie called Sunshine with Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans, and a few other great actors. Highly recommend it. It's not a happy movie, but it is a good one.

You pause so many times that i don t understand if is you reacting to linkin park or they are reacting to you.
Um ur interesting for interrupting the song . Ur stopping a great part then ur giving a invalid option.
Why is my opinion invalid of my reaction?
Your reactions are great except... one problem... linkin park live is better than the original songs.. you need to react to them singing live more to be blown away... ;) right fellas?
I've seen Linkin Park live and i would disagree. Live performances are always different compared to studio recordings. If you want the clearest and best sounding vocals and musical sound you go for the studio versions. But if you want the performance, the entertainment you go for the live versions. Both versions of worth it and neither one is better then the other.
@@CarlosHuiskens tbh I enjoy their live version way more since they back each other up in vocals... they make their normal songs sound even more better... a great example if that is listening to a place for my head live in Texas. That's the best performance of that song I've ever seen and I like it 10 times more than the studio version which is pretty good too.
