Good review. Just got a 2024 ninja1000sx last month. Love it. I like the anytime torque, the comfortable position. The brakes, shocks, mirriors, and looks. I like the way both lights are on on low beam. It feels light and nimble. I love everything about this bike.
Picked mine up Saturday very happy with it , cornering is amazing for a bike this heavy. I have 44 years riding experience and I am sure there are better bikes but the technology on this bike amazes me.
@@Bluecollarguy87 I got mine used so past the first service, but yes it has an up and down quick shifter and can be enabled in the settings. Pretty sure it can be enabled before the first service
@@Bluecollarguy87 hey, man. I bought a brand new one a few weeks ago. 2023 version. And yes, it comes with quick shifter. You can unlock it yourself thru the menu. Very simple. Just search UA-cam. You’ll find a lot of videos about it
Better than a zx10r but probably not comfortable for anyone longer than 45 mins. I'd say if you're gonna consistently ride two up, look more at the cruiser or performance cruiser route.
This bike is growing old, needs a total refresh. Those mirrors are idiotic. Plus, Kaw screws you and charges over a grand for the hard bags. Plus, it’s pretty heavy. Cruise control is the only thing that makes this bike stand out. Otherwise, it’s the same basic bike as the original 2011 Ninja 1000. Concours 14 puts this bike in the weeds even w/o cruise.
Klx450 is a great dual sport! Wish they still made it! Depending on your 11 year olds size the 230 may be a good fit. The Great thing is kawi offers multiple seat height models in the 230

Recently got one, love it!
They're so smooth! Enjoy your new bike!
Did it come with a quick shift? Is so did Kawasaki unlock it after your first service?
