I know why Roy died. Allow me to explain. Y'see, Roy could see and hear what most people cannot (yup). He did his damndest to express the beauty and the horror of what he saw. People who cannot see or hear (or smell) look at a guy like Roy and say, "he has demons". Everything you need to know about Roy is in his playing. He is a bluesman at heart.
Saw him and Royz Boyz at the Old Wax Museum in D.C. around late 87' early 88' definitely was winter. The best display of guitar chops I ever saw. Truly mesmerizing.
Roy Buchanan, what a beast. When he was tabbed the greatest unknown guitar player in the world, a truer statement couldn't have been said. Totally awesome!!!!!!!
LEGEND IS CORRECT ESPECIALLY TO THE PEOPLE LIKE US - WHO KNEW HIM BACK IN THE 70'S AND HAVE ENJOYED HIS MUSIC FOR 49 YEARS AND COUNTING …
I REMEMBER THE SHOCK THE DAY I HEARD HE WAS DEAD I WAS HEART BROKEN !
Legend of all time super musician.

I believe that you are never truly dead until you're forgotten. Andrew, Vancouver Island.

You might fall asleep to a C.D. but you will always flip "Livestock" over to side "B"
Roy........the standard by which all are judged.....
Nice stuff.
Did he play the Park West more than once? I saw him there - wow, maybe it was this concert. Takes me back. Love you Roy+ Singon with them angels.
After listening to Roy, I can certainly see why Jimi didn't accept Roy's challenge to battle him on the guitar.
