That was my first thought when I heard you had to upload your photos to “develop”. I really like the idea, but the worry of EOL support needs to be addressed.
There’s another camera company that makes a similar product called Camp Snap that’s only $65-70 instead of $100+ dollars and photos are stored on a micro SD that comes with the camera. You can plug the camera into your phone/computer via USB-C and directly download photos. It stores hundreds of photos before needing to offload and delete some. To charge this much for so little seems crazy.
Great video, Ryan! I also purchased a Flashback camera and will uploading a review soon. I appreciate your thoughts, and have found similar inconsistencies with the image products… e.g., over exposure, underexposure, motion blur, saturated pink tones. I’m excited to see where the owners take this camera in the coming months/years. Lot’s of feedforward for them to listen to and make improvements to ‘perfect’ the product. All in all, it’s a nifty little camera!
I bought the Flashback One35 camera and I used it a few days ago for the first time on the 10th October and it was around 6:30pm so it was low light at this time of the year and I was shooting colour, on the Left side of the photos I could see lots of vertical Lines on the low light dark photos, can you see vertical Lines on the Left hand side of the photos which you should take in dim light plus the shutter button does not work by pressing it down half way, presumably because I think the flashback camera is a fixed focus lens, I find the shutter button a bit unresponsive as when you press it right down, it takes around a third of a second after you have pressed in the shutter button for it to actually take the photo, do you find that to be the case.
@@Ryanjleonephotography Can the Flashback One35 display a date on the photos, can you please check and can it be done in the following formats of today’s date 20 9 24 and 9 20 24

Great camera, However if your going to a festival and buy the camera to take their, notoriously festivals don't have great network coverage so uploading the film is not efficient or effective, limits you very much. If you could unload the film and load another and stack the film ready to upload when you have better signal that would be better.
Great video. But I am one am one of many people who have bought one, am having problems with it and am getting little to no response from the company. Don't buy one.
Saw an advert on Facebook so came to UA-cam to find out more. I was hoping the photos would be transferred direct to your phone using NFC / Bluetooth… a bit like when wedding photographers use those wireless SD card things to send photos to a wifi SSD. I’m looking for a cheap camera for my 7 year old who loves using my D7100 and this looked like fun… but I don’t want to rely on an app that could disappear overnight. Whilst I think the 24 hour thing is fun, I wouldn’t be handing over my money unless there was a way to bypass all of that so I could use the camera how I choose.

I've bought a paper shoot and a camp snap camera and both struggle with exposing in daylight and having highlights look like crap. I've had my eye on this one for a minute but it looks like it has the same issues..
If it wasn’t reliant on the app and you could have a option just in case something happens to the app I’d buy it in a heartbeat but… I don’t like the thought of it not being supported

I’m dubious about the company going belly up and the servers not being able to send images to. Cool product but yeah I dunno

I COMPLETELY agree with you on that. I wish I could use another stock when uploading and developing. You are so RIGHT!

Super solid points for sure. Definitely something to think about in the future for the app.

The highlights seem blown, but I get it , nice video , but the camera won't work. Why wait also 24 hours ? Just use film or digital ! Easy options

I completely get it. I only use it now here and there

Wow this is a lot of interesting info. Thanks so much for sharing it. I will check with mine as well!
How to choose color and bw? Can i switch in the middle of the roll?
In the app, and I dont believe so
But is it really disposable? I don't understand why it would be disposable if it is digital, I'm confused
It’s just the name, it’s fully digital but in the body of a disposable camera to give you a nostalgic feel, hence the name “Flashback”
does someone really have to explain this?? yikes!
