This makes me miss my old single cab short bed 1980 C10...had it all throughout highschool and got me to all of my jobs up until last year when I finally sold it...I used to call it my "Muscle-Truck" because although it didn't look like the prettiest thing on the block, it had a good V8 that I spent every spare moment I had tuning up just right...oh well, now I have my big lifted F150 which is much more practical when you live in a place that used to be a swamp and frequently floods
You mean get 2 or 3 jobs? Possibly even go back to school for a few more years, and accumulate more debt, so maybe, just maybe you find yourself in a career that pays enough to support this expensive hobby. Not every job or career will allow you to afford tuning and racing cars lol. Otherwise, I'd just pick a new job like a piece of good fruit from the local market. No big deal, you know, just getting another job.
Ya she gets MAJOR KUDOS for not being a poser!! That's hard to find in the auto world. Not only that her and her husband's boldness in stepping out of the norm makes them very valuable to the industry. I'd love to bump into these guys working at one of my local highschools.
It's a truck that she is actually going to race. They wont tell you about the suspension because they don't want someone to take their ideas to the track.
TheUltimateFish They aren't doing anything any different than anyone else, tubular control arms as seen, most likely a drop member with coilovers. The rear is most definitely four-link accompanied by a panhard bar with coilovers. There's absolutely no reason to not show the suspension and give some info...
I bought a c10 5 years ago because of this truck, I wanted to build a race truck just like it and I'm happy to say I just ordered my wheels for it and it will be on the road!
Damn this truck is gorgeous! What an immaculate build. Autocross in a Chevy C10.......Definitely! Kudos to PCHRods and all the work you do. Absolutely Stunning!!!
I used to drive a thirdgen camaro. When I sold it i decided I wanted to try out a mini truck. Originally i picked it for the shared parts between it and the camaro having already worked on one. Most of the s10 parts and camaro parts are in fact the same part numbers. The 4x4 s10s can easily be made awd with the gmc safari units if that's what you want. A lot of parts are shared into the second gen s10s and fourthgen camaros as well.
Much respect for turning a truck into a racing vehicle. Physics fights trucks being good at racing a great deal. All the weight over the non-driving wheels, generally more overall weight, etc.
Thank you. I have been planning a build on a 77 Buick and this just changed my mind. I am a big guy and this would be perfect for me. It will also allow for a twin truck for my wife. We will have a ball running around in a pair is these done to the teeth. Thanks again for the great video.
Now that's a dope C10R! If I could afford it, I would have built something similar using a 1970 or 1972 Chevy truck. Until then I will keep dreaming and drooling over your truck. Great work and I love the idea behind what u guys are trying to do. "Thumbs up"
Inspiration can come from anything. Just because it was inspired by something doesn't mean it has to look like it. Several different things that he loves came together to influenced the decision making here, and I admire that. Love the truck.
This is very inspirational to me. I hope to build a sonoma race truck, so when my little one is of age she can race it. thank you so much for this video.
a pro touring c10 has been on my mind a lot lately. i just absolutely love this truck. i am drawing a lot of inspiration from this truck and bob bertelsen's orange rush c10. this just may be my next project.
I want that truck! the c10 has been one of my favorite trucks since I first seen it about three years ago. And they say money cant buy happiness but damn this is close
One of the coolest trucks I have seen. I'm an automotive enthusiast but my truck is my passion and I definitely was going this route. Maybe not to this extreme but definitely focusing on handling more than straight-line speed. If I could get my truck to the level of a Camaro 1LE then I'd be happy.
Still mate Dude1 ingenious job and clever one too.. in pagani a non millionaire man will be conscious about the ground clearance, what if his pagani gets a dent.. well C10 is great and clever build.. i appreciate his approach.. he is educating his generation in very good way.. Here approach is important even you have pagani or not.
I remember seeing this truck when it was just a sketch on pro-touring. com. My eyes just about popped out of my head when I saw that Drive did a video on it. Freaking love this truck.
A real car enthusiast would appreciate this truck no matter what. This thing is amazing. For those of you who think this truck doesn't have enough power, well can i say purpose built... If anyone has anything negative to say about this truck your mothers should slap you. I love the truck and I love the inspiring reasons for building it. RESPECT!!
It's not that kids aren't interested in building and racing, it's just to damm expensive. I have a few cars that we're left to me, but really can't afford to fix them. thanks for the great video and hopefully I'll be able to build my cars for my 2 beautiful daughter's.
I am a Chevy guy, but I always liked the K10 better, the dual headlights up front make the truck look a lot better on the GMC. This truck is my favorite vehicle /BIG MUSCLE has showcased other than the red Stingray. Thanks to the owner for building this truck, someone finally made the vehicle I always wanted to make, even love the color and wheel color combo, ridiculous truck. Loooooooove it.
First of all, I faved this video!! Second, did he say a viper motor was in it!!!? WELL, there goes my IDEA of a viper motor in a Chevy! But a later model...like the 88-98 trucks! AWESOME JOB on the build!!
The 67-72 chevy rear truck arm suspension is what they use in Nascar to this day and the front suspension is very similar to the gm a and g body stuff. There have been tubular a arms and coil over kits for these trucks for along time. These trucks are very popular I have owned a few the aftermarket is huge for them. I also noticed the front sway bar on this truck is used a lot on mega lifted trucks big brakes are also an easy find. I think it's a cool truck but it's not like they created the next space shuttle.
This makes me miss my old single cab short bed 1980 C10...had it all throughout highschool and got me to all of my jobs up until last year when I finally sold it...I used to call it my "Muscle-Truck" because although it didn't look like the prettiest thing on the block, it had a good V8 that I spent every spare moment I had tuning up just right...oh well, now I have my big lifted F150 which is much more practical when you live in a place that used to be a swamp and frequently floods
we haven't lost passion for cars we don't have MONEY
What he said.
get a job then.
Mow lawns then. Pays for my 17 trucks and automotive shop. Trucks and parts and tools are tax deductible too.
must be some cheap ass vehicles, or you are charging a hell of a lot to cut grass.
Ya she gets MAJOR KUDOS for not being a poser!! That's hard to find in the auto world. Not only that her and her husband's boldness in stepping out of the norm makes them very valuable to the industry. I'd love to bump into these guys working at one of my local highschools.
hevy C-10 / Ford F100 = Best Trucks Ever Made!
Nice truck , a bit disappointed that there was no talk of the suspension setup
indeed
its a secret.....shhhhh
It's a truck that she is actually going to race. They wont tell you about the suspension because they don't want someone to take their ideas to the track.

Why is everyone complaining about the truck? we are missing the point here!
BIG MUSCLE IS BACK!!
I bought a c10 5 years ago because of this truck, I wanted to build a race truck just like it and I'm happy to say I just ordered my wheels for it and it will be on the road!

I saw this truck on the 405 a couple weeks back, nice, loud and FAST.
Sweet build guys.
Lord knows these younger kids need more to appreciate in life than an active social media account.
Damn this truck is gorgeous! What an immaculate build. Autocross in a Chevy C10.......Definitely! Kudos to PCHRods and all the work you do. Absolutely Stunning!!!
I've seen this beauty at OUSCI in Vegas last year.Love it,great job.

I would not be able to resist the temptation to drive it everywhere!
Thank you. I have been planning a build on a 77 Buick and this just changed my mind. I am a big guy and this would be perfect for me. It will also allow for a twin truck for my wife. We will have a ball running around in a pair is these done to the teeth. Thanks again for the great video.

I'm in love with that steering col.

Pretty cool creation, sounds awesome too!
Regardless of whether this is fast around a track or not I like what they've done here and that's to challenge themselves and make something new.
It's not that kids aren't interested in building and racing, it's just to damm expensive. I have a few cars that we're left to me, but really can't afford to fix them. thanks for the great video and hopefully I'll be able to build my cars for my 2 beautiful daughter's.
Makes me wish I still had my 87 Chevy R10 pick up I had some of the same ideas for mine
I am a Chevy guy, but I always liked the K10 better, the dual headlights up front make the truck look a lot better on the GMC. Awesome car and awesome people. Come on guys, are we that much spoiled to the point of not enjoying this? Keep it up Mike!
The only auto this channel has ever featured that I could actually see myself owning...
I would love to make a late 90's Hilux handle almost like a normal car!
Love pick-ups!
I saw this truck online months ago while looking at c-10's and was instantly jealous.
Work of art

The 67-72 chevy rear truck arm suspension is what they use in Nascar to this day and the front suspension is very similar to the gm a and g body stuff.
