I really appreciate that you contribute with theories and questions. This video is like a "continuation" to the Dying Song video, it's interesting, hopefully the next videos continue to continue this kind of "story"
The dying song video came first not sure if you’ve seen it yet, that has the woman with the face mask and the others so they are linked. Micheal pfaff ( tortilla man) is a multi instrumentalist and plays piano so I presume he wrote that but that bit isn’t on the album version.check out dirty little rabbits a project he did with clown years ago during the early years of the first few tours. I think the video is about Corey’s first marriage.
That song tortilla man plays at the end sounds so familliar for some reason. and I just noticed you can hear it in the song as well at your favorite part of the song.
You need to watch The Dying song video. The ladies were in that one as well plus Pinhead is looking cool in it as well......and Rooty has always been cool.
I'm completely clueless. I got nothing from the video, except confusion. Poor Pinhead, he only got a few seconds in the whole video. I watched a video of bass guy talking about how Justin Chancellor(Tool) lent him one of his basses for a song on the new album. I thought that was pretty cool. : )
I assumed Sid was one of the hallway crawlers. I’m so grateful for Pinhead, Jim Root, and Mick because their masks are similar enough that I always know who they are.
If any of my teachers would’ve looked like Corey Freaking Taylor, I would’ve paid more attention in class 🤭. This video is definitely my favorite, though I agree that it should’ve been Pinhead at the end… btw the masked ladies also appear on The Dying Song video
1-I think it’s about the haunted mansion they stayed in while recording Vol. 3. Like the shadow people are the spirits. 2-Gotta watch Dying Song 3-Fun fact, Craig was supposed to be playing the Charlie Brown piano but they know your obsession and didn’t wanna be responsible for your demise.😂 Or maybe he didn’t want to be in the spotlight for that long.
My take is that the women in the white masks are supossed to represent the music industry/RoadRunner Records. We know from PerfectUgly that made the masks for Clown that they are refered to as "The Witness Masks", obviously the label has been there from the begining all the way back in 99 and has witnessed everything. And the woman in front with the gloves and pantyhose mask represents the band, always in the front, always grand, she's the spectacle it's all eyes on her as the people in the back just watch. I think it's all an allegory for leaving the label, as it's been a big deal and heavily tied into this record release. Even the marrige imagery, it's the band joining the label, and now they've left leaving the woman on fire to fall to the ground
Yeah, Tortilla Man is a keyboard player and can play other instruments as well. But Pinhead could have played that. So could Clown, Sid and probably others in Slipknot. Probably just wanted to show off Tortilla Man a little more, who knows?
Going back & watching your old videos to me there is three things that have changed well I feel have 😅 that's your hair colour 😏 your mic is alot cleaner it's more crisp & i Don't know if you just changed a setting or something or have better lighting but I feel the camera quality is better since I've been basically watching you from the start I've noticed those little changes 😉
@@MusicCatsandCoffee hmm weird because looking back as I said the camera quality looks better i mean you can see the difference if you go back to like killpop to your newest video or maybe im just seeing things 😅
They've been using female contortionist performers in music videos like that ever since The Gray Chapter. It's almost like this is a follow up to Killpop. I wonder if they are the same naked ladies from the XIX music video.
@@t1ag217 Hmm there are girls there, yes. But the aesthetics are different from these contortionist ones that we see in Killpop, The Negative One, XIX etc, who are always "incognito" and perform enigmatic moves/dances. These are the ones I meant.
As a long time maggot, I'm so disappointed with this album man.. I loved WANYK and this one just did a complete 180 for me. Worst Slipknot album in ranking for me. I really hope they turn it around being off Roadrunner label, and having more time and creative space from all members of the band in the next album.
tortilla man is a keyboard player (not in slipknot ofc) he was keyboard player for dirty little rabbits

I'll be the first to say it, I'm glad "New Guy"/Michael got some time to shine at the end, but I wish it was Pinhead instead lol
Yes, it's true. I am a moron.
But this was fun. :)
Happy Corey Freaking Taylor Tuesday!
Please don’t toy with my emotions… is it going to be a thing? Corey Freaking Taylor Tuesday? 😬🥹
On the rare occasion I post a Slipknot vid on a Tuesday, I call it Corey Freaking Taylor Tuesday. :D
@@MusicCatsandCoffee darn 😆 at least we have Maggot Mondays 😁
Meet my professor - Hottie McIowa
Jim Root has always been cool
It's cute it's clear to see you gots a thing for Craig your smile when you see him says it all
We need more music video reactions😃🖤
I'm with you 100%. Jim Root looks awesome!
You should check the dying song music vid, pinhead with his keyboard are the highlight of that vid

Trying to understand what’s in Clowns mind when he’s creating something is a Herculean task.
Knowing how vague Clown's sense of symbolism and imagery is, could be about marriage being Hell or something completely different.
Now you need to watch the Dying Song video, its the "prequel" to this video :)

Yes, MP is a classically trained musician in case anyone's wondering.

I'm just pointing this out if you've been watching the recent concerts from Slipknot Mick Thompson dropped a lot of weight n got in shape

Also, Corey in a suit (mask and no mask) I figured was gonna cause a mild panic attack.😂
will you react to the songs of the new album?
Wasn't those ladies were in the Unsainted music video?

Good video, but I wish the other band members got more screen time.
