    Lavaridge Town is a quaint place of respite for the player after defeating Team Magma atop Mt. Chimney. The hot springs there would probably be a nice place to rest, especially since your butt must be hurting after hopping around on your Acro Bike.

    Pokemon RSE will always be very close to my heart, and its music will be even closer to my heart. Inside my heart? I don't know. But anyway, this was one of the tunes that didn't initially make the cut for my album back to Your Littleroots that I made in September 2014, and I thought it was about time to cover another tune from this wonderful game. When I was picking a song, I wanted something that would sound very warm and comfy, sort of like how my Animal Crossing title theme ended up being. I somehow ended up on the topic of the Lavaridge Town hot springs, and bam here's your jazz.
    There are a couple of bits in here that are heavily inspired by Thing of Gold by Snarky Puppy, which has a really unique mellow latin groove. To get this latin effect, I added a triangle (mounted onto a tripod with a rubber band lol) and some bongos! I also tried out the same moog synth that I used in Animal Crossing, but it didn't sound like I wanted it to in context.
    So yeah, there's your Lavaridge / Oldale Town cover! Catch the reference to another song in this cover, and you'll get special points from me. Also, don't forget to download the free MP3 in the desrciption and perhaps follow me on Twitter / Facebook!
    Now back to playing Undertale.
    EDIT: A POKEMON NIPPED MY BACKSIDE!

    Pokemon Emerald was my first Pokemon game back on GBA and getting to this point after scaling the mountain and taking down Team Aqua/Magma was a big achievement for little me as a child. It was very relaxing to sit in the spring and listen to this music. Great job. I like that little Mudkip hiding in the background.

    have you ever tried a metal mouthpiece? it makes a huge difference in tone and I can tell from experience, it helps in the jazz aspect of songs especially in the solo sections. but its like, if you don't use one cause you don't have the money that's understandable lol

    • @insaneintherainmusic
      @insaneintherainmusic  9 років тому

      +Tyler Reese I've tried metal mouthpieces before. The ones that I've tried haven't given me enough warmth that I like, but that might just because I haven't really tried out any good ones. I am currently saving up and shopping around for a new mouthpiece though, so I'll keep your suggestion in mind!

    Very well done! You may want to adjust your triangle playing, however. The general practice with triangles is to hit in the bottom curved corner rather than the center or the open corner. This playing spot will give off a better tone from the triangle. String may also be more appropriate than a rubber band so that the triangle will not bounce.

    • @insaneintherainmusic
