I believe they are both good units. Both will bring forth problems if you don't maintain them throughout the year. Also, with regular use, parts will need to be replaced in the future on both stoves. The Harman has more steel and the auger system is superb. Not too sure what Quadrafire you are looking into.
I heard that it is efficient so it qualifies for a 30 percent tax credit. I’m leaning towards getting it over a quadrafire. Is it easier to work on then a quadrafire?
The 30% tax credit is a plus. It is a tad more difficult to work on compared to a Quadrafire. However, once you learn the mechanics of the stove, you should be fine.

Pretty solid pellet stove.
Technology is a plus. The rail system is a must so you can easily clean and maintain the back of the unit.
