Ive been running a p43 since 2011 and its absolutely fantastic. I do about two or three ash pan clean outs per ton. Stove is reliable. Ive done NOTHING to it since I installed it other than clean the glass. Ive always been surprised how the outside of it doesn't get super duper hot like wood stoves, i think its because the built in fan gets the heat out of the stove into the room with good efficiency, The only concern i had was when it was brand new, I didn't realize it takes about 5 to 8 minutes for it to start its first fire.....ive always found ours runs best here in Ohio on feed limit set to 4 room temp set to middle and temperature set around 65. We run it here in most winter conditions. God Bless stay warm. And about the hearthpad, I bought a $90.00 one that meets code...... its been fine.
Great review. I have the PP38+ that came with the 2 knob control board and I just installed the 3 knob circuit board. The P43, is the same size as the P38. My P38 is manual light which works great as we leave it on all the time. The P38 does heat very well, not just with the blowers but you get the heat transfer from the sides, top, and front, as you would with the P43. Thanks again. Rog
I’m thinking of buying the Harmon P-43. It compares very favorably to my Castile quadrafire stove that Ive had for 22 yrs. In your video you mentioned there are other stoves you might favor over the p-43. Im curious what they may be. Thanks for the great video on the p-43.
Absolute 43 Comfortbilt HP22 Freedom PS21 Just ideas above. We really are impressed with the pellet distribution system found in a Harman. The P43 is the easiest Harman to repair in the future.....our opinion based on service calls over the years.
This is a solid stove that is pretty quite. Most stoves for less money can be a tad noisy.....typically run of the mill in our opinion. Anyone else out there that can help this person out would be appreciated
Both are good units. Yes, the Harman is more expensive. If you can afford the Harman...great. we like the pellet distribution technology of a Harman . The Santa fe is also tried and true. Both are positive choices. Thank You Brett and Briggs
