Siegfried was already my main, but Holy Spirit Sword he’s definitely my main in this. I can’t wait for this game, it’s been so long but well worth the wait!
Thank you for this nice quick guide with comparisons. I am a long time Siegfried player (since sc2, albeit he was still Nightmare). At the time of seeing this, I was playing the Beta Network test and wanted a refresher on Siegfried. I am also glad to see the returning moves and the new moves listed. Thank you and Pantotoc again :)
And to think anybody doubted his chances of making it to SCVI...that was funny, anyways, he looks the most viable he's ever been since he was Nightmare in 2, which is great, I'll definitely be playing a lot of Siegfried in VI.
Siegfried moves, old and new, work well together. I will miss some of the old moves, but the new ones will definitely make up for them. Still hoping for the return of the Iron Sword from SC III (the custom character weapon), along with all the other weapons from that game. Bandai Namco need to just make a big announcement of the rest of the starting roster and get straight to Create a Soul.
Hello! Thanks for you comment. It's already planned, we just have one thing to figure out in his Stance, because in our playtesting we couldn't understand fully the new gameplan of the character. Some of his old low mixups where removed and only accessible in SoulCharge, but new tools as been introduced so I don't want to say something wrong about him that why I was waiting before doing him.
Thanks for the vid dude. Okay: I will admit, I find it kinda lame, that he still didn't get any fast close range moves. I mean they could give him fast moves, where he quickly shoves the broad part of the blade, at or toward the opponent. And where he can also, attack with the sword handle and pommel. Those white germanic people, who did german longsword/ great sword fighting back in the old days, would naturally do that when the opponent got in too close. Lol!
Hi ! Actually since SC5 he has a fast "pommel attack". The problems in SC5 were: it was not THAT fast, unsafe and hard to use because of the hitbox. So it was not reliable at all. ATM the move doesn't seem better in SC6. But let's check this again at the release of the game, because Namco is still working on.
I'm playing the beta now. Thoughts: sig retains most moves, but I'm not sure if they're slower or properties have changed because he trades/clashes alot more than I remember. He is also terrible close range. Sophitia can continue to attack him as his moves have more start up frames. I suggest guard impact or (ughhh) reversal edge. Really don't like this mechanic and how much it's spammed by players using fast characters. You will never win these lol
K in Chief hold should track like in sc4,he need more oppressive stuff,it's way to easy to punish him ...and now he lack the fast tracking low (1k) for that poor stuff of the new 1k...i want the real siegfried back D: kilik got all the fancy stuff
Well. still not the best Siegfried version without the inclusion of SCIV's Terror Slap (chief hold A+B), that badass followup for a counterhit 3B launcher, complete with high ringout factor.
Indeed, thanks for correcting me. it seemed different with the new lightning (guardcrush?) effects and I didn't' see him connect it after the launcher, must've missed it! Keeping my fingers crossed for his old SCIII's Reverse Side Hold A (6B+K, [A]) too, a large horizontal swing with very good reach where he stepped forward and spun into Base Hold (it was gutted in SCIV and I don't really remember it in SCV lol). Loved this niche move for catching people off-guard. Also, good job with the video man, much appreciated!
I came here because the beta didn't have a training mode. Like, why? I had to go into matchmaking naked and afraid of everyone because I had no idea what was going on.
It was a network test. If they had a training mode everyone would have spent 90% of the beta learning their favourite character so they could go in fully armed. Having to go into ranked to figure things out made people play, thus gave them a chance to test the network.
AndyMacster Fair enough, but a training mode could have also helped determine what combos need buffs/nerfs depending on how well or poor they connected.
Siegfried was already my main, but Holy Spirit Sword he’s definitely my main in this.
I can’t wait for this game, it’s been so long but well worth the wait!
Terry R. Ohh we close now!
Love this Siegfried breakdown! I can't wait to play with him as a style when the Character Creation get's revealed. 😃
You wanna do a other guy or a girl with Siegfreid Style ? :P
Hayate EIN Pretty much. 😂🤣

Yeah check out his Twitter, he is very informative about Siegfried ! I hope to do more with him in the future about Siegfried !
Pantoooooo
woth the beta out now, I decided to take notes. thanks for the good work.
Thanks your feedback make me want to continue !

Heh, I doubt this version of Sieg beats SC2 Siegmare in effectiveness, the SC2 one had simply too many stuff like 8WR A+K, 66KB, bgBB and so on
Can't wait to play him again.
Probably one of his best version ever, I'am sure you like him.
These breakdowns are great.
Thanks you, I plan to do updated version of theses!

Yazoo K I don't understand a word but French is beautiful just to LOOK at haha
Konrad Malthe Klingest xD English is prettier than French language in my opinion
game looks hella hype
yeah It's really fun to watch
much appreciated video

Thanks for the videos! Would love to see Geralt or Maxi next
I'am working already on the script breakdown of 4 characters at the same time... but one of them may interest you :P
subbed! now to wait until you do a breakdown on Talim and Sophitia, my old mains from III and IV
Thanks a lot for the video, very interesting stuff.
Thanks! Sorry I could do more technical stuff, but I wanted to keep the video smooth for both Casuals and Competitive players.
more technical stuff would have been welcome of course, but any kind of breakdown is welcome since we aren't getting many official infos on that part.
Welcome back... to the Olcadan of history.
Nothing is better than Olcadan to explain the game haha
@@HayateEIN for me, Olcadan is like "What if King from the Tekken series wore an owl mask instead of a jaguar mask?" Haha
Thanks for sharing although I don't play Siegfried would there be any chance for a mitsurugi QB in the future?

Are you going to be doing one for Cervantes?
Yes but a more accurate one
Thanks for the vid dude.

Siegfried is a beginner power character

Sidestep works great when fighting faster chars. Outside of that youre right tbh, Reversal edge is like a free, better version of impact
@@DekiTree it's doesn't beat everything tho
3B is slower than the others sc?
i don't think, but it has better frames to pass throught under high attacks, that is confirmed

He have it, you can see him doing it : ua-cam.com/video/ydwJBfEQnr0/v-deo.htmlm13s :D

Are u that Hayatei, famous MKX player?
No sorry ! I am an other one! I dedicated my experience on Fightining game to mostly Soulcalibur and DOA.
New soul calibur seem to be good! dOA as well btw
What about Geralt next?
Mmmmm noted !
Segfried is broken. Only scrubs use him, if you are not a scrub you don't pick the best character.
