@@melodyrainever yes while it is true Dalai Lama was a slave owner/serfs owner, I don't need to thank the Chinese govt because I'm not Chinese Tibetan. But I'm sure they are thankful they can volunteer to the upkeep and maintenance of the monastery instead of forced labor.
But also on the other hand, in their state of mind they may have enjoyed the "collectivism" of serfdom working for the lama. Who can really know, they are long gone.

All 14 Dalai Lamas from 14th century studied in this monastery. In Tibet is it called Nalanda of Tibet where so many monk scholar graduates during it 600 years.

Looks so much better than the Tibetan monasteries I visited in India. The locals also dress much better than their cousins on the Indian side. Market looks prosperous. Looks like they are not suffering from poverty.

The Chinese central government has been pouring 20 billion in every year to develop economy, build infrastructure, lift poverty, and preserve culture. Of course, everything looks well maintained and everyone well taken care of.

Great video! It seems that Jordan has fully recovered from her altitude sickness and Poppy is always as energetic and healthy as she used to be even though she is in Tibet! There might be taboos, restraint or confinements everywhere in Tibet, and I don't think that they two could be free to go anywhere without the accompany of that tourist guide in Tibet, but I thrilled to see Poppy and Jordan's adaptability, that is, the ability to do in Rome just as Romans do. Thanks to you two for the wonderful views of Tibet which you have shown to us in your videos, and I love them very much!
