im so happy to have you here! long time no see!! how is 2023 going for you?
i've missed posting here so much, and i hope you enjoy this uni vlog from me. it pertains to the work i was doing during the holiday season, and tomorrow's vlog will pertain to the work i've been up to in january!
i want to get this backlog footage posted so i can start with a clean slate in february, post more up-to-date, i know it's just going to get progressively more difficult throughout the year to post on time. i am so grateful while editing this, especially at the end, looking back at some clips of 2022 together, i'm so happy i've been sharing these memories with you for another year. thank you for being so welcoming and giving me such a safe space to share my thoughts and a little bit of everything. i'm so so grateful to you, turning to this community is my favorite thing!! it makes me so appreciative of our paths, that we're making progress and seeing and experiencing exciting & beautiful things. and just trying our best...
during the holidays, i was unfortunately quite busy with my internal medicine rotation (both internship hours and two assignments that i had to write in a haste & discuss in person with my tutor). it did take a toll on me but luckily, you'll see throughout this video, i had in those weeks the presence of mind to recognize when it's time to take a break, to take things easier, slower, or you'll just drive yourself to burnout & luckily after the holidays i felt ready to tackle what is next, and eager to approach the new rotations and challenges.
also!! thank you to my regular viewers the utmost for the patience ಥ_ಥ i've been trying to post this for a couple of weeks now and yesterday i really asserted to myself that i needed to post this weekend, & i've been typing the subtitles as fast as possible as soon as i woke up.
it means the world someone feels excited to watch these, and enjoys them in a part of their day. again... thank u thank u thank u.

And I was surprised to see your video notification a couple of hours later hehe.
I think It has been close to a year since I first discovered your channel. So I want to thank you so much for letting me be a part of your journey, also for being such a great inspiration and a motivation to me throughout this year. Last year was really hectic for me and there were countless times I wanted to give up. Watching your videos and seeing you struggling (I didn't enjoy that part 🥲) but not giving up was the only thing I needed to get me going. And your videos are always so aesthetic and calming. Maria!! How i've missed you and your vlogs!! 🥺 I just wanna tell you that i've recently started my clerkship (4th year) and been doing some hospital duties for the past weeks. I feel like telling it to u bc throughout my med school journey, i've been commenting on your vlogs of some bits of my med school problems, subjects, worries, etc. Now that i'm finally a junior intern, i am truly amazed by how u can manage your different interests in life while doing some hospital rotations at the same time. The way you can immediately recognize of when you need to pause and reflect, of when you need to go outside and appreciate the beauty of every little thing. 🥺 I aspire to be like you. Now i haven't adjusted yet and i hope i will have the right sense to properly balance everything because right now, all i feel is exhaustion due to hospital duties.

edit: i love all your vlogs but this particular one ranks the best for me. idk but this one feels particularly like a clean bedsheet and warm blanket 🥺 and that outro? it looks and feels straight out of a comfort movie you love to watch over and over again 🥹 it's not an exaggeration when i say i teared up a bit while watching this vlog. it kinda affected me somehow viscerally.

I know it's irrelevant, but the number of people I've seen eat persimmons unripe is insane. A ripe persimmon wouldn't be able to stand to be skinned like that bcs it is incredibly soft. The inside should also be more clear like a gel. It gets sweeter when it's ripe😋😋
