these came out really nicely. I love the brightness of the colors. you will have some great backgrounds or stickers. I did get a small package of the alcohol ink paper (yupo paper) and did some alcohol ink play, it is so messy with the alcohol ink, but so pretty.
Thank you so much Heidi! I also really love the results. The alcohol inks is something that is on my list to try, but all in time. Can't get all the things at once of course :)
I love the first one you made, it really shows the oxidation. And the one with seedless preserves/blue is so vibrant! I haven't bought the expensive yupo(?) paper either. I hate using expensive materials because I feel like if it looks like 💩 I wasted my money. Way too much pressure! 😄😄😄 TFS! ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much Ann! I know right! I love that one too. I am so with you on that! So this is a good alternative :D Let me know if you try it out! I would love to see your results
Beautiful pages, love the color combinations you used!! Happy Wednesday😊
Thank you so much!! Happy Thursday!! :D
Wwooww !! Turned out gorgeous..Love these lovely backgrounds..
Definitely try this ...Thanks for sharing...Kyra
Thank you so much my friend!! I am sure you will have lots of fun with this technique :D
Nice video.
Mooi hoe je het maakt met toch goedkoper papier. Ik vind ze echt mooi geworden. Ben beniiewd naar je kaarten. Mooi gemaakt.👍💋🖌
Thank you so much!!
Lovely results:-) I love experimenting too :-) I'd love to see the finished cards made with these backgrounds :-)
Thank you so much!! It was so much fun to do!! I still need to make the cards, but I will def upload a video :D
Very interesting. Great to see the results. Hugs. Xx
Thank you so much my friend!
Wow! It’s gorgeous! I loved these backgrounds. I can get some glossy photo paper at the Dollar Tree 🙌🏻 Be a great way to try it. Oh & I need oxides too 😂
Thank you so much!! I had so much fun making these!! And girl you need the oxides, you will not regret your purchase. ENABLERALERT lol!!!!!
Hi Kyra, I loved this video! The papers worked very good! Thanks for mentioning me, and thanks for sharing. Did you run and jump all over the house because it worked? You looked breathless, lol. Have fun creating with your new toy my friend!
Hi Marie! Thank you so much!! :D Of course I had to mention you! You gave me the idea to try this out :D And yes I did lol!!!!! You know me so well!! I was so excited that it worked!! :D
I just happen to have a kid just like you, you know I call Matthew "Tigrou", It's "Tijgertje" in french from Winnie the pooh cause he's jumping everywhere when he's excited! Love you!
LOL! That is the reason that I have a Tigger onesie :D Love you!!
Very beautiful results...love budget friendly ideas💕
Thank you so much!! I am so happy to hear that you like the video
Thanks for trying this out for us. The backgrounds are gorgeous!
I am so happy to hear that you like the video! Thank you so much!!
I LOVE these backgrounds!!! I previously watched another video where they did the same exact technique, but instead of wiping over with Distress Glaze, she simply wiped it off with a baby wipe and got the SAME glossy effect. I'm going to try both methods and see which one I like best. TY so much for sharing!!! 💕
Thank you so much!! :D Oh wow!! I should try that!! Thank you for the tip :D Let me know if you tried both and what your findings are :D
I neeed to use my distress inkt more often. Cuz geez girl, this looks awesome and so much fun. Thanks for sharing. x Marieke
I love using my distress oxides!!! Let me know if you tried this and what you think about it :D I would love to hear that from you!!
Love them you did a beautiful job. Would love to see the cards you turned them into.
Thank you so much! :D Here is a video where I make a card with these papers: ua-cam.com/video/DpAaIzuoJMI/v-deo.html
Thank you, I have photo paper, so many ideas work on "yupo" paper or alcohol ink card stock that do not work on photo paper but this works well enough for me. Thanks for your videos!
I am glad you enjoyed this video! Yes you are totally right, but I thought it was worth a shot! I also think this is good enough :D I do want to try it on Yupo paper, but all in time lol!!
Have you tried just wiping "residue" off with a baby wipe, clean area each time...or a paper towel then baby wipe?
Yes I did :D I also use my art journals to wipe up the residue :D After that I clean it with a wipe :)
These came out really nice!!! Definitely would love to try and please make the cards 😊
Thank you so much!!! I will def make a video on how I made this into cards :D Let me know how it works out for you!
Gooooooorgeous! :) Oh! Did I see the background for my card?? :) Loooove! I have tried techniques on photo paper but that time I used re-inkers for my copic markers (the few I have..) :) Turned out great! Big hugs!
Thank you so much my friend
Very nice!
Thank you so much!!
Ohhhhkaaaaay I never heard of this technique before but now i really feel like I need distress oxides xD OMG! ENABLER!! Hahaha but I can't wait to see what you create with them!
Vivian you need the oxides!!! LOL!! Enabler alert xD I also waited very long to get these, but I don't regred my purchase!
Pretty backgrounds! Why did some paper curl and some not? Thank you.
Thank you so much! :D Some of the papers have a higher gsm than others. So the one is a thicker card and the other is a thinner sticker paper. :) Hope that answered your question :)
Ok, did I heard it right? You have to reply on Christmas mail?! 😂😄
Ah mennn... I only have distress inks. Hope that will work too.
LOL yes you heared it right xD You should really get some oxides! They are amazing!!!
I wipe my oxides off with a soft cloth after they are dry...no glaze needed.
That sounds great!! It was cool to experiment with things I have but you don't need the glaze like you said 😄
I don’t know if you’ve seen this video, but it made me think of this video lol Take a watch of the first 10 min.
