    Dear Sir. Great video. My wife is getting a Vulkan S and this video is all she needs to see (as if she needed any further convincing). I am amazed the "little" bike could handle 2 adults and full gear. Great job Sir!

    Enjoying your videos from Minnesota in the US where windchills on Christmas day are projected to be -40C/F. This is a nice escape from the cold. Thanks!

    Enjoyed the video, sorry to see you had a few rainy days, but it didn't seem to dampen your enthusiasm. Had my Vulcan S since 2015 and it's been a great bike. Toured Wales this summer with two biker mates and we had a blast. Regularly ride 2 up with no problems at all. I have a set of panniers fitted along with a Givi windscreen and Givi sissy seat. The bike is very easy to ride and very comfy.

    Hope you’ve been well my friend. You may not know this but your videos are what made me get my Kawasaki Vulcan s. Bought it in 2018. I love it just as much today.

    When I was 51 I pushed a 1400 MILE round trip in a long weekend.. I then spent the next 2 days recovering and finally, gave my bike to my oldest son... now at 62 I was looking for a small cruiser because it is hard to get it out of your blood... till I watched this video and remembered why it was time to give it up.. Now looking for a newer Pickup to haul the camper around.. thanks for the video.

    • @Justaguyinnc

      Update: I must be honest... I ran across this replay and thought "oops' ... I couldn't get bikes out of my system.. But.. i actually dumped the idea of another cruiser.. dumped the idea of a new pickup and went out and purchased a Kawasaki... wait for it.. Ninja 400 of all things.. as an OLD man it was one Bike I never had..a Ninja.. and this light little 400 flick around is a perfect around town and close to home back road twisties runner for one up... I just could not get Bikes out of my blood... will not ride far nor in Cold or Rain.. but on a nice day.. I have fun leaning in those turns on this lovely little Ninja.. and don't let the 400cc fool ya... it does 70-80mph easily and 100mph has been seen with room to spare..:) ... keep enjoying your VulcanS.. memories are everything.

    Awesome video sir. The Vulcan S is one of my choices for an upgrade. Between a naked bike vs the vulcan s, which would be a better tourer? The z650 comes to mind as an option also, but the Vulcan S is drawing me in. 😊

    • @pointless101_8
      @pointless101_8  7 років тому +3

      +Sinbad683 I had a naked bike before the Vulcan. Personally I think the Vulcan when kitted right offers more comfort for long trips and better wind protection. Test ride one first though. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and the kind comment 😀

    How do you find the factory tires in the rain ?
    I got my Vulcan S June/20/2018 at this time I have a 1000 km, taking her in for first service today, able to take her up to 6000 RPM NICE, thanks for all the video you post.

      My pleasure pal. I haven’t had any issues with the factory tyres but will probably go to bridgestones next. Nothing wrong with the factory ones I just always run bridgestones.

      Hey mate, things are going well. Just gearing up for summer . Still have the bike and still love it. Stopped making the videos after the tour cos life got really busy and hectic for a few months with work and when I looked back at the videos I’d made, I realised I’d achieved what I’d set out to do and put some info up about the Vulcan. Moto vloggings weird man.... you start hoping something will happen and over reacting to everything. It was time to get back to the chill of the cruise riding. Ride safe!

      Hello mate, yes I still ride the Vulcan and apart from one of the heated grips dying on me I haven’t had an issue. I had to get a car for work so I don’t get out as much as I’d like 😡

    Hello Pointless,
    I had wach your videos and another ones because I was thinking about buy this motorcycle.
    I whant to thank you for all your information beacause a few days ago I buy me one without ride it before. It was a great deal!
    The bike is gorgeous and the ride is fantastic, I cant imagine a better bike for me now, it is so easy to ride.
    The only cons is the seat... is terrible. For 30 minutes maximun is ok, but after that is the wrost that I ever experimented in a bike. I will upgrade it for a gel seat sone as posible. Have a few good profesionals here in Spain that will do a great job, for 250 to 400 euros, depending of the finishing grade.
    Best regards, and thank you for all informative videos.!

      Like anything, seats are painfully rigid at first but they soften up. I was thinking of upgrading it but never did. I bought my Vulcan back in Aug. 2015. Not a single problems... Amazing machine!

    I installed the Kawasaki Large windshield. Sadly it is still way too low. Only a seven centimeters difference between the medium and large screens. No way to adjust them without adding a top screen. Kawasaki engineers are all under 5' 6".

    Hi there loved your Vlog of your tour. The wife and I are looking to do the same, she has the Vulcan S and I have a Triumph. We noticed you had gear indicator as well as what looks like accessory power outlet either side of the speedo. Are they Kawa accessories or OEM ? Also what panniers did you go for they look nice and roomy and the tent.

    • @pointless101_8

      Seat itself was fine. My back hurt a little but that was because my posture is shocking and I tend to slouch. As soon as I sat upright (thank god for that screen) my back eased up. And thanks 🙏

    Damn, that's a sick bike. I was leaning towards getting a Vulcan 900 or a vstar 1300 for cruising, but that 650 might be better for carving up the country roads where I live. Just too many choices, idk.

    @seaninness334 7 років тому

    Yeah, I was going to ask in an earlier video when you just had the wife on the back and then I see you have the wife, panniers and tent/etc strapped to the back and REALLY wondered about it. Do you have another video about those issues? Just wondering how it felt with each addition and what (if anything) you did to compensate? I'm looking hard at buying the vulcan s but I have been pretty doubtful about riding 2up on it.

    • @pointless101_8
      @pointless101_8  7 років тому

      +Sean Inness all I did was crank the suspension up. In hindsight I think I would just use hotels when touring two up. That huge roll bag was full of camping gear. I would either cut back to bare bone camping ( which the Mrs would hate), go without her (which she would really hate) or shell out for hotels. She did really well for a mid level cruiser though (the bike). No complaints.

    • @jbraMoVal
      @jbraMoVal 7 років тому +2

      I wasted money getting add-ons like the footpegs and rear seat. The first few rides my wife had a blast but after a while, she was complaining about her back hurting and getting bored. I was going to get a back support rack add-on for the Vulcan but I end up getting her a Honda rebel 250. If she ends up liking motorcycles, I may upgrade her bike. Lately, she has been talking about adventure bikes.

      Josue/Pointless, as I am happily divorced, I am enjoying ME TIME. I'm really not inclined to get a rear seat, etc. The feeling I was getting was that it's a little underpowered for 2 up anyway. Just weighing my options. :)

    • @jbraMoVal
      @jbraMoVal 7 років тому +1

      In that case, keep enjoying your "ME TIME!" The Vulcan never felt underpowered for me, but I also haven't loaded my bike with luggage while doing a long trip. I also haven't driven a motorcycle bigger than 650 ccs so I don't know if I am missing out on something.
