Kawasaki Vulcan S : Kawasaki Windshield Road Test & Review
Переглядів 27 тис.8 років тому
Hey Guys, Longest video to date! The windshield was a deciding factor in the choice for buying the Vulcan S. I wanted a bike that would tour but would also be at home pottering around town. The Kawasaki windshield is detachable and quick and easy to attach and also allows you to lock it in place with a key. Haven't found many youtube vids of this windshield so I took the time to put together a ...

Looks nice!
This is the absolute worst rear shock I've ever seen on a motorcycle. If you do buy an aftermarket shock prepare to see how they skimp out on the shock ends because it's metal on metal with no rubber bushing in the eyes. I guess not enough people complain to convince the manufacturers to make something at least as good as the OEM. I'm convinced the only way to improve the ride is to buy the proper spring for this shock. You could buy a hyper pro aftermarket shock but It comes with a generic spring that's just as stiff as the stock spring. That's okay if you're heavier individual but for the money hyper pro is charging, they should send you a proper spring for your weight.
Hope you’ve been well my friend. You may not know this but your videos are what made me get my Kawasaki Vulcan s. Bought it in 2018. I love it just as much today.
Nice
Just saw your video.500 dollars way to mnch I'll go with a universal shield.
This was a great review. I just ordered mine for my vulcan. Thank you.
Massive? I could only think "comical".
Happy to see you put this video online. I just bought a vulcan and ordered this pannier set and I definitely like how it looks. Way better than the official kawasaki cases which are 500$ more expensive and are only 11 liters. nice job!
Would be helpful to mention preload adjustment for rear spring no?
Thanks for the bud.. How tall are you?
Chilly! Are you still vlogging? Got the vulcan?
Found this really useful thanks. 👌
I assume you can fit in a full face helmet?
Thank you for share. Your bike it´s so pretty
I love my vulcan I'm impressed you got a passenger and all that luggage on a vulcan.
Putting the suspencion on soft what does to the bike?
Hey, great video. Do you know what is the top weight you load on each side with these bars you picked? And the top weight the back rack can support? I'm considering it for some hiking and my tent is pretty heavy. Thank!
Why are you adding a gear indicator when there is one already?
Chief, good videography work for this presentation.👍😁.I know you'll grow in your abilities and the production is going to get top notch! Doug🏍️🐻🤓🧸
Essa tampa lateral é horrível para fechar. O encaixe é difícil. Prefiro deixar as ferramentas no bau traseiro da Givi onde é fácil o acesso. No mais, essa motocicleta é excelente. Obrigado pelo vídeo.
The only thing I don’t like is they look so old fashioned and it’s a pity they couldn’t make a more modern looking full screen one. 🤔
So I'm watching all the gear indicator vids and...I'm like wait...is that Aberdeen? 😂👍🏻
On my 2015 vulcan s the Allen key is right behind the side cover, just open with the ignition key.
How are these are you still using them? also were the inner- bags provided? Cheers
Music is extremely loud! Voice is so low I gave up on it.
Awesome video man! How is it driving with a passenger?
what kind of bike stand did you use?
Thanks for the video, pointles101. Where did you buy these from? I cant seem to find them cheaper than £660.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Were the Givi bags waterproof or did they let some water in? I noticed you also have the Oxford heated grips. I've heard nothing but great reviews about them.
On my 2000km riding in rain i can confirm they dont leak
nice
Beaultiful trip man, i live in south Brazil and have a 99 800 Classic Vulcan. Cheers🏆🤝
Nice! And thank you
Hi. Nice video. Also thinking to get Vulcal. What's happened with front glass over the night (Time 6.28)?
Thanks mate. I kept it in the tent.
Great video. Are you able to look over the windshield or do you have to look through it when riding? I am 5'5" and the Kawasaki dealer said I should get a medium windshield. Now I am confused because yours is a large shield and you said it comes up to about your chin level so maybe I need a large too?
Think it has a lot to do with your posture while you ride. I sit quite straight so I’m usually looking over it. My camera is at eye level so what you see in the video is pretty much the view I have. Hope this helps and thanks!
Surprised that bikes suspension didn't crap out and didn't bottom out with all that weight
Nope it was fine.
I feel your pain, but next time you mess up a shot and have to redo it... don't complain to us... just make a cool cut scene or something... you basically have extra footage. Free win!
Noted 😅
Is that a Medium or large windshield?
E il topbox?
Ciao quanti litri contengono queste valige? Il costo? Vorrei metterle anche sul mio Vn900 grazie ciao
Music loud but I can't hear you.
Apologies mate
Hello, a tad bit late, but have you tried installing a trekker in the sissy bar rack? Your bike looks great!
Thanks mate, I haven’t as I felt the side boxes gave me enough space and the luggage rack gave me a little flexibility.
@@pointless101_8 That is good to know! You should create more videos again mate! Cheers! Hoping you amd yours are safe!
It was a good review! & I Like Vulcan S ! so cool! Watching from japan
Thank you, so cool i helped someone so far away!
Nice video, great bike. It must have been a difficult ride with all that weight behind you. But the bike seemed to handle it well!
But of a handle bar wobble but she handled fine👍
Are ther aftermarket suspension parts to be had?
Probably
Where do you live mate? That accent can’t be too far from me? I’m in York
Originally from hull, moved around with the forces though so my accent got a little diluted 😅
You shouldn't have to take your number plate off every time you want to clean/lube the chain.
It is a faff I agree but needs must
Nice Vid ! Wanted to ask , hows the passenger riding comfort on this bike for long trip ?
The mrs managed 6 hrs on the back. Sissy bar was a good purchase though.
@@pointless101_8 Thats great , thanks for the quick reply ! Ride safe bud
Nice Vid: also Electric Drum Kit and practice pad I see?
Good spot!
If you're going to post vids on an American website like UA-cam, then call them what Americans call them.... saddlebags. Otherwise, not many people are going to know what you're talking about. "Panniers" are large baskets that you put on an ox to carry things...they are also part of a woman's dress back in the old days. Saddlebags originated on horses and are a much more accurate description.
Not dignifying that with an answer 😂😜🏴
This is by far the most entitled ignorant post I have ever seen in some time now. You are the reason why people think Americans are stupid. Do better.
i just realized i watched this video before and may have said the same thing i said today.... in the comments.
i have this exact set of accessories from givi. ran me about 1200 dollars if i dont count the passenger seat and pegs
