This build was too fragile for long term survival so I decided to reclaim the parts to make other, even better creations-but first (and of course) we had to have some fun and make another LEGO donut (aka a torus). This is my largest of these LEGO donuts so far and the texture of the build gives it a pretty amazing sound at it rolls. And no, I never get tired of LEGO donuts. There will be many, many more. 😁

Did you manually adjust the frame rate to be in sync with the rotation of the donut to look like it isn't moving? Or is it just a crazy conincidence?
The alternative is that he matched the rotation to the frame rate. That could be done with practice and a few dozen takes.
@@hamjudo yeah that would be easier lol. Especially because it would probably look weird because I'm assuming UA-cam scales footage to a default frame rate
I wish I could take credit but that is just luck. But I will take it because it's a very cool effect. : )
It's one of those moments when you make something really cool but honestly unnecessary and just wonder, "What now? "
I'm starting to believe that the complete unnecessary-ness of it make it even more awesome. Time to escalate on that unnecessary-ness!

Excellent! Everything I build is a torus or doughnut of some sort. The proportions of this blue-groove torus are far nicer than the original big-blue using only half rounds. I wonder if I have enough parts?
It sounds like we have similar tastes. I never get tired of making tori. : )

Maybe use the techniques to get a straight connection and a bent connection in an alternating fashion, changing the number of straight edges from 0 to max as you go through a quadrant and then back to 0 with the next... I'm just theorizing from inexperience, but I really hope you can do it ❤

What if you try a twisting tube like structure?
I started playing with twisting tubes in a previous video with these azure plates, but I do want to escalate. It's an amazing shape.
@@BrickBending oh I might've missed it, the most similar thing I remember was with these same sky blue plates but it wasn't really a twisting tube but the curves going up and down. Excited to see how you'll continue with the concept, you're an amazing artist!

*This* doughnut is new, since it's derived from the frame with the internal channel that Brick Bending did for the 100k plaque. As a result it also has a flat element on its outer face that makes it possible to stand on edge. Previous doughnuts were basically cylindrical in cross section.
