This LEGO build will astonish you

- I've built a number of mandala-like designs over the years, but on a rare occasion I find one that somehow manges to make its way into the third dimension without exploding. This build is thin and fragile, but very sound--and has hung on my wall for years. And it's a thing of beauty. 😊
Piece breakdown: 1x2 plates (28), 1x4 plates (21), 1x6 plates (21), 1x10 plates (139)

Man, even the builds using familiar concepts have completely new results
How does he get the schematics of builds like this?
@@Ownniceguy I believe he just tests things out until he gets a shape he likes. From one of his earlier videos he said something about a love for geometry, and that he's been doing this stuff for so long he knows how to get the shape he wants.
I recommend watching some of his old introduction videos.
@@StopAllThat I admire all of his videos
Velma from velma
I love the little LEGO guy. Man's practically famous at this point.
He wants to make his own videos, but I told him he hasn't earned it yet.
@@BrickBending who?
@@CayTubeTV its a joke, hes talking about the lego guy
The next step is to build a ball/sphere this way.
Homie made the coolest looking Christmas tree skirt ever, haha! Super cool build, as expected here.
All these videos are both incredibly relaxing and stressful at the same time. Completing the loop on this one I found to be particularly stressful!
'Enjoy some stressful relaxation with Brick Bending.' 😂 I love it! That might be my new tag line.
There is something so zen about these videos. Maybe because it's about watching the creation of literal 3D mandalas.
I was expecting some freaky distortion with all those hinging parts, but then Bam! Bending on the z axis!
It was a really fun discovery. 😁
Until I started watching your channel I didn’t know there was anything called “illegal” building. Grew up with Lego and never thought about these things. You have opened up a new world to me, and apparently to many others. Thank you.
WOW! Really looks like the top of a Mongolian Ger! I think I’ll use this tutorial later to make a tiny ger!
You could probably attach a bunch of those together and build a giant sphere
I have definitely dreamed about that. Maybe a future video. 😊
If this isn't a testament to how durable legos are then i don't know what is
And I almost never break a brick. They are amazing little feats of engineering.
The anti clickbait title.
Very cool, looked like some neat shadows under it too
Yes! One of the best part of this style of design are the shadows.
Looks like a shield. Awesome!
That'd be really good Christmas lantern
For some reason this really helps soothes my anxiety! Thankyou.
The title: *exist
Me: That's literally the reason why I sub to you
Now all you need to do is press it into a large lump of clay upside-down and you have a pretty sick Ninjago arena.
Well, title was right! That was pretty amazing.
I would be fascinated/amazed if you could turn that into a sphere
I definitely want to try. : )
I love the lego structures that you make and love every thing you do ❤️❤️❤️
That is kind. Thank you!
@@BrickBending your welcome dude 👍🏻👍🏻
I was having a stroke and was going to die, but then I saw this video and it shocked me, saving my life.
beautiful!
What happens when you pivot all the long diagonals? Can it change shape/size?
They look like they can pivot, but once you join a pair of those two diagonal shapes together, they become rigid--all the force is in counter balance. If it wasn't rigid I don't think that final jump into the third dimension would be possible.
Very elegant!
When you picked it up and showed it front-on, I actually gasped. This is gorgeous!
This build is swag
You never fail to amaze
Elegant and amazing. Rarely does a video live up to "...will shock you," but the dimensional shift lived up to the promise.
I felt comfortable with the word 'shock' because that was exactly what happened to me when it first happened. 😂
Incredibly satisfying... So relaxing and entertaining at the same time.... Love it
If that isn’t a prototype for your Christmas wreath, I’ll be very disappointed.
I love this dude. He really knows how to kill time.
Between searching for the pieces for 5 hours. And then another 10 hours for the build.
Would be cool with a clock face in the middle 😎
Brick Bending in the future:
**Makes builds with infinite fractals using mathematical equations**
A surprise twist. Every. Single. Time. So completely amazing.
This makes me wanna see a full fledged captain America shield 😂
This lego build did, indeed, shock me.
I always enjoy how you seem to possess an inexhaustible supply of highly specific LEGO pieces.
This guy does the LEGO equivalent of making a circle in Minecraft 🤣🤣🤣
You should try to make one of those grabby hands toys out of lego bricks, you know those with hinges that stretch out.
This seems like the start of a pretty amazing Christmas wreath.
Captain lego's shield
Nice. That would make a great wall piece.
Satisfying!
This is so neat! Makes me want to build one myself and hang it on a wall as decoration because of the pretty pattern 😵💫
This stuff is so calming you should record the long sessions of building to fall asleep to🤣
Man's bent lego in the x, y, and z axis. He has acquired the power to break physics. Fear Him.
if you make it white red and green it can be a christmas tree decoration
Me before watching this: "Aw man! Brick Bender, no! Your videos are amazing already! You don't need the 'THIS WILL SHOCK YOU' clickbait headlines!"
Me after watching this: "Fair use! That was indeed shocking!"
I'm trying to reserve the over-the-top adjectives for when they actually apply. This one shocked me!
Holy smokes, I really love this design
Amazing 👍👍👍
If you're interested in doing more 3D stuff, consider looking into Lego axles and the vast world of axle connectors. I'd be excited to see what you can do in that medium.
I have barely scratched the surface there, but I will definitely check it out!
Love the technical prowess with the Lego bricks, don't care much for the clickbait video titles. Decidedly NOT shocked here.
moisturize your hands. nice build btw!
2:30
Halfway through the vid and already satisfying.
The legos in the last part are in constant pain
They are strong. They can take it!
Wow~ Thank you for this!
Definitely the most challenging Brick Bending build I've attempted! Trying to bring the ends together to form the completed the circle took months of trial and error. I'd almost have it, then something would pop. It was so frustrating I'd set the build aside for days/weeks at a time before trying again. Then, after 7 months of trying, everything finally clicked! The finished build looks so fantastic on the wall I may have to attempt a couple more!.
P.S. Brick count in the description is off: 1x10 plates should be 147, not 139. Did not count the others as I have plenty on hand.
This is so facts
Nice! I wonder if you could make a full spherical shape this way.
Love all your videos, but at this point, nothing you do with legos "shocks" me anymore. 😂
I'm going to have to try even harder! 😂
I am shocked.
Nice👍
Too cool
I am SHOCKED to my very core…
This would be a cool lampshade!
Nice shield.
How come Lego people can have 6-pack abs & I can't?
I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you!
Dang how do you make these builds
Just well done
nice vlog dear
Awesome 😎 - is it maybe a clock or a fruit bowl!?
I am shocked!
Do you think you could make a batarang one that folds out like in the arkham game
now I know Lego is made of some pretty damn tough plastic, but the engineer in me is just filled with anxiety what with all those internal stresses and strains.
What can’t you build is the real question
It surprises me, but don't shock me 👍 😉 🥂
ngl it looks like its gonna break
It won't take much abuse, that's for sure.
its bending 😯😯😯
honestly, not surprised anymore
😱😱😱😱
3:31 it is so annoying when a peice of lego falls off something your trying to make
i thought you will make complete sphere from it
My guy stepped on a Lego one to many times
Could you make a cymbals
I probably could, but the sound would be a little disappointing.
Make the Olympic rings
Ok, next step: Captain America's shield :P
I’m disappointed I thought it was going to be an electrical socket
Did you guys ever notice his heavy breathing in the background
Now 😉you can start on the rest of the car🤗you have 1 hubcap 👀😂 done ✅
Can we just take a look on that 'wound' at the index finger of his/her right hand?
It was not my destiny to become a hand model, but for some reason I get to play one on TV. The universe loves irony.
it s satifing
He would be getting the death sentence if the Lego police were a thing
THE THUNDERDOME
TWO MEN ENTER, ONE MAN LEAVES
Brilliant. I should have found caveman an opponent!
enough, i'm calling the cops
cute truncated cone
Insert astounded emoji here. Wow!
Thank you, you got me banned from my favorite lego club thank you
What the...
Guys hands look like LPL...
Красивый узор
3:28 At this moment, I knew...it was the Millenium Falcon
* 5 min later *
No... it's something else...BuT wHaT?
Anyone who dislikes these videos are insane
