Mam my orthodontics gave me Hawley retainers and said that he'll tighten it time to time, it cost me around 14k I don't know if I'm being scammed they are personalised and he said these are removabal braces 😭
My Dr told to remove 4 teeth for fixing braces to move teeth inwards but he said it will give 60-70% result not 100 and said to put for 2 yrs is it safe to remove 4 teeth

Lol first of all its not called a clear retainer, its an Essix retainer! Secondly it is not better than hawleys retainer. Hawleys retainer can adjusted in the patients mouth by the orthodontist if there is any ill fit issues and essix retainers cannot adjusted once fabricated. Essix retainers are not recommended in certain cases like open bite etc. They get stained in like 7-8 months and the durability is also very less if the essix retainers are fabricated with low quality sheets! Hawleys is the best anyday. Please make videos on orthodontics before talking to a orthodontist so that the patients don’t end up with the wrong treatment options🙏🏻
Hawleys is ofcourse 'best' if it is actually worn by the patient. Several studies show better compliance with Essix retainers or 'clear' retainers as the patients normally call it. Ofcourse it is not recommended in all cases. That goes for Hawleys too. And just btw.. i AM an orthodontist.

Lol first of all its not called a clear retainer, its an Essix retainer! Secondly it is not better than hawleys retainer. Hawleys retainer can adjusted in the patients mouth by the orthodontist if there is any ill fit issues and essix retainers cannot adjusted once fabricated. Essix retainers are not recommended in certain cases like open bite etc. They get stained in like 7-8 months and the durability is also very less if the essix retainers are fabricated with low quality sheets! Hawleys is the best anyday. Please make videos on orthodontics before talking to a orthodontist so that the patients don’t end up with the wrong treatment options🙏🏻
Hawleys is ofcourse 'best' if it is actually worn by the patient. Several studies show better compliance with Essix retainers or 'clear' retainers as the patients normally call it. Ofcourse it is not recommended in all cases. That goes for Hawleys too.
And just btw.. i AM an orthodontist.
