Hello I'm gonna do a LIVESTREAM on September 21 at 1 PM EST to celebrate my birthday and raise money for my pals and I so we can get a cool house. I'm really nervous nobody will come like... I've had a channel for 7 years and I've never gone live ONCE because it freaks me out. Plz come if you can so I can feel less lonely and terrified. Send me some music you're working on, funny videos, controversial topics, etc and we will hash em out together as one big happy family.
Californian here, "like I don't want to live here but I really respect California for what it is, you know." is the perfect summation of how everyone I know who lives here and myself feel about the state. Spot on my dude.
As someone from New Jersey, I flipping love every bit of this video and all of this man’s content despite never watching him before just because of the New Jersey segment.
As an NJ native, I really appreciate when someone actually appreciates what the state has to offer. It really is a great state. People just have to explore it. I love my state of NJ. Great video!👍🏾
As a lifelong NJ resident I’m very glad to see a non-Jerseyite who doesn’t mercilessly shit on this great state. Also Alaska is gorgeous. Hawaii is beautiful too and its overbearing tourist culture is a real shame because it’s genuinely a really beautiful state if you’re not staying in a Waikiki resort.
I remember watching your freshman year survival guide the summer before going into 9th grade after getting into your vids for the my chem and tøp content lol. now I'm in college still hangin in there. please keep doing this for yourself dude. it really is noticeable, and I'm def enjoying and keeping up with the channel more lately after a couple of years of being more distant. not that any of this should ever be about views or us silly commenters. thanks for being there nate, keep going.
16:19 As a Mass resident, what you said here is right. It's so annoying how often people complain about this state being boring because we literally have so much going for us, it's a wonderful place to live.
@@NateIsLame I've noticed that the bands I see are usually really excited to be playing in Boston. Idk if they act like that for every city but it's cool. From what I've heard, the underground scene is great in Boston too, but I live near Worcester so I only travel to Boston on occasion.
@NateIsLame are you familiar with the pine barrens much there's so much local lore and other crazy stories and it's such a geographically diverse state

I completely get what you're saying about Michigan, but giving it an f tier without even acknowledging the great lakes, or how it's Sufjan Stevens home state when you brought him up earlier, OR how cool it is that it's made up of two separate peninsulas?? Maybe I'm biased because I've spent a lot of time in Michigan, and I went to the upper peninsula for the first time only a month ago, but there really is a lot more to it than people give it credit for. Yeah, there's REALLY fucked up parts about how it's run, but at the end of the day that's also the whole US. I'm not mad about the placement at all, I just have a lot of love for the nature and culture of Michigan. Also, I think I just have a special interest for the great lakes. (banger of a video btw!)
As a born and raised Canadian who has only been to Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, I can neither agree nor disagree with most of this except that Washington is a lot cooler than you give it credit for. Idaho is fucking dope though and I’d love to go back someday

Illinois is just like a “oh yeah this is crap” until you realize it isn’t. (Also you should like lowkey do the senior year video before I end up in senior year, also love the music it’s literally so damn good)
Washington's geography's pretty diverse compared to other states. It has beautiful mountainous ranges in the west, and more flatlands in the east. It's like a mix of flat states and really hilly states.

Hey Nate! I’m from Minnesota, you should go to Duluth and Grand Marais! Those are the my favorite parts, theyre really cool, artsy and indie! Edit: Btw that was the most A sounding B ever
Virginia is honestly a very interesting state, but not in like the fun exciting way that NY, NJ, etc. is. It's definitely shifting from its southern roots and culture, especially up north, and even more so in Loudoun County. There's a potential for it to become more of a urban breeding ground for more loud and vibrant culture, which may or may not be the best cause the smalltown culture is really sweet and homey. I can see how for someone passing through it that it may seem a bit bland, but you kinda have to let it soak in for a while to recognize the beauty. TLDR: Its not necessarily boring, but its no NYC. As someone who's lived in both Minnesota and Indiana, Minnesota being lower than Indiana, (especially after how much you talked MN up), is... admittedly a bit baffling. I absolutely love living in Iowa, the biggest thing for me is both past and present it's a really interesting railroad state, and when you're driving you can stop off in pretty much any town and find something interesting languishing away. But I will say, I do not feel stoked to live here.
The best of these are like C- tier at best when compared to the most mid european cities
Vermont also has Noah Kahan, just saying… 👀
Finally someone who says something nice about California instead of jumping the bandwagon of hate. I respect that.

As a nevada resident not mentioning Reno even once really hurt. Not to mention the geography of nevada is pretty awesome towards the north, just look at Lake Tahoe.
Idk Reno just feels like a poor man’s Vegas. Like why would I visit Reno when Vegas is a billion and a half times cooler
@@NateIsLameReno is just more for the outdoorsy type of person, I live in reno and Lake Tahoe is 30 minutes from my house. We get warm summers and snowy winters, the scenery is beautiful in the fall. Not to mention the whole city is surrounded by big mountains.
@@NateIsLame I will say though, don't go to Reno for downtown. Avoid downtown at all costs unless ur coming for a concert or something, we do get some good shows here.
