FYI for us bigger people, Michaels.com does sell the cricut shirts in XXL. Found out at the Chicago meet and greet. Also had to order the Tropical Palm infusible ink on line. For some reason they didn’t carry either of them in store.
Great video, Melody. I knew it would work on glitter iron-on because Ken did it last year with the Artesprix markers (sublimation). I absolutely love the idea of glitter on a dark shirt covered with the infusible ink transfer sheets. Thank you!!! I hope Lorrie washes what she did and shares the results with us.
Have watched this wonderful video several times--the elements captivate me, simple but a great refresher for these techniques. Thank you for such high quality content, spanning YEARS. You're a genuine creator, Melody.
I love watching your videos and you are so genuine when you make a mistake you tell us, you own it and then you try to fix it. It helps me know that it’s okay to make mistakes and then move on!! Thanks for all your hard work in teaching us everything Cricut!!
The glitter underneath is making it more sparkling, which makes it even prettier. It looks like the glitter was on the colorful transfer. It looks really neat with the black background.
Im new to cricut and Infusible ink was my first project because it was the first material to arrive for me. Omg! Cricut played well!!!🤣🤣🤣 Now I am addicted to Infusible ink!!!! I loved to know it can be done on black materials and I am assuming other colors as well? Have you tried it? Thank you for sharing! Sending lots of positivity your way! ✨✨✨
Does it have to be Cricut Glitter Iron-On? I know there were questions about other types of Iron-On products. Could you use a different brand of White Glitter Iron-On? I like the Siser brand, it seems to work better for me. Second question, how did you know (or find out) that the Cricut brand was polyester?
That really has a Great Awesome Look. Many Thanks to Cricut for coming up with Something Awesome that doesn't require Another Machine, and Of Course, Many Thanks to you Melody, for Showing us all These Awesome Tricks. You Are Great. See You Saturday Morning.
So I have a problem with a design that weeded perfectly from Infusible ink and it contains many letters much like you cut out box that has letters by themselves. BUT they popped off and I cannot get them to stay on the transfer paper. My dsing has words all around a cicle that says I am. I do not think I will ever be able to flip the transfer paper to put onto shirt. Is there anything that might help me get the letters onto the design in the proper spaces? Thanks Gayle
Oh Melody watching you tape the second try I can see myself struggling to get it to lay flat too. I love your spontaneity and freshness to your creativity.
Hi hope you don't mind me saying but I think the white bits are where you picked it up and touched the infusible ink. I haven't done any yet myself but read if you touch it may not transfer as well......just a thought x
isnt this just changing the color of the vinyl. what would be the differance in using a rainbow colored vinyl? at the end of the day your base is still vinyl. Ive seen people make a templet and then bleach their shirts just on the part where you put the infusible ink onto.
Melody I am SO excited to try a project like you made today. What could be better, glitter and infusible ink? Yes, I bought the rainbow 🌈 infusible transfer sheets because I LOVE your square coaster project!!! I have not tried the coaster project yet but hope to do it soon. I love your project tutorials. Thank you. Wishing you a super week. Hugs Susan
i am new to the cricut and have a question ... my mother is an assistant manager and they have not given her a work shirt yet because her position and she HATES T-Shirts she doesnt like her chubby arms showing so she asked me to make her shirt but its to be neon green and white .... my question is does the glitter show through the infusible ink and make it glittery or no?.... also is there neon or Florissant green iron on I can use? I also watched another video and it looked like she used the a regular iron on with the ink is that even possible? Im not one thats willing to waste money as a single mom .... it took me 2 years to be willing to buy the cricut its self but since mom really wants a long sleeve and a sweater for work i agreed to make them but im soooo scared to mess the up ..... my final question is can i use any brand of heat transfer paper iron ons? I ask because the cricut color i wanted was out of stock so i got to looking on amazon and there is so many different brands outside of the cricut iron ons and they actually have the neon or Florissant green in the HTV brand but i have not found it for the cricut! i could be blind and missed it but if her sweater is liked by the owner of her shop i will be the one making the uniforms for now on! so i feel these are very important questions because the shirts are important to the shop! Im hoping for a response from anyone that is experienced with the cricut including Melody!!!!
Alex and Holly: I just watched this video, and I noticed that the audio is delayed significantly from the video. at least 15 to 20 seconds or more. Its super noticeable when she's talking on camera, and when her exclamation doesn't fit with what is on screen. Don't know if you can fix that, but thought I'd let you know. It was nice seeing her again.
Was just wondering if you could use the infusible markers to color right on the white patches and then place the butcher paper over and heat again to see if that would work? Just wondering.....
I prefer to work with glitter iron on. With original easy press it even goes on smoother than the everyday iron. The everyday gives me so much trouble. Love glitter
It’s beautiful. I can’t wait to try it. Aren’t they always saying not to touch the infusible ink or it won’t work? I thought those white spots looked like your fingers.
Oh, Melody, I'm watching this a whole year later and I've been yelling at you - lol. Raise the temp, raise the temp. My husband thinks I'm nuts. When I have a spot that didn't take right, I put it back on and use my Mini (butcher paper down first). Sometimes I just cut or rip off what didn't take to stick it back down. Works all the time. And I've seen Lorrie's video, followed it, did a shirt for my granddaughter.
Hi Melody: I have just order the cricut easy 2 and can't wait to try the infusiable ink. I was wondering for 12x10 easy press could you use the 12x12 mat.
Melody I don't understand the difference between iron on and infusible ink. Iron on doesn't have colors right? its just letters? and with Infusable ink you can do designs with colors. Also whats the difference between butcher paper and parchment, I thought it was the same thing. Thanks
Alexandra Garcia Baudrit iron on can have patterns with colors too, and you can cut out shapes, can be same shapes as infusible ink. The difference is iron on, you can feel on top of the shirt, it can peel off or not stick well if pressed wrong. Infusible ink, you can not feel, because it’s ink, the heat turns it into a gas and that dyes the polyester fibers in the shirt, it will never peel off as its inside the fabric, it will never fade. Infusible ink can only work on polyester fabric. You can use iron on on most fabrics and wood and other materials.
I have looked high and low on Cricut DS images for the black feathery background with the phrase on it that you are showing. I can't find it. I've spent about 2 hours looking. Can you tell me what it is? I'm thinking they removed it.
If the ink doesn't fuse or at least isn't visible on the black, could it have been possible to just use a full square of the color without cutting the design out? Fast and less chance of offset because it would just cover the entire design. You wouldn't be wasting much more either. In this case I understand you are saving the excess for additional designs for future projects. Just an idea though.
Hi Melody: Thanks for getting back to me about the mat. I found out today that I ordered my easy press 2 from the shopping channel here in Canada, now I can not get it from them. So I will have to contact my brother in Denver to see if he will order it for me. Just means I have to wait longer for it. If I use your code for 10 % off., does that apply to cricut machines.
You could just cut the parts with the remaining color on it and then you can place them on the spots directly then you will know you are on the right spot.
Melody, can you help me find the file to make a house for my Cuties out of chipboard? Maybe it could be a video for a Saturday class, if you have made one!
Your hair alone let’s me trust you. Your creative essence is alive.
FYI After watching you I tried the infusible ink with gold glitter and it worked so you don’t just need white glitter

The glitter underneath is making it more sparkling, which makes it even prettier. It looks like the glitter was on the colorful transfer. It looks really neat with the black background.
Everyone has been talking about this infusible ink. I definitely have to run to Walmart to get me some hopefully they have some pretty colors
Thank you for being you and letting us see the imperfections. I learn as much, if not more, when I see the mistakes along the way.
Thank you so much for showing us the whole video even when things didn't look like it was going to work out great job nice bag
Thank U so much about the white paper 😂 I was spending so much time taking that off.
It looks good the way it is Melody
Beautiful. This is a great hack. I did not want to invest in a sublimation printer. Now I have a better ideal how to use the infusible ink sheets.
Great come back

You said the infusible ink will not work on cotton, so if you use a cotton white t shirt will you have to use the glitter vinyl?
Awesome video! Love the white glitter background and bright infusible colors! 👍🏽
Thanks so much 😊
This came out sooo pretty! thanks for showing us this alternative way to use our infusible ink!

Oh my goodness that looks really pretty even with those few white spots... glitter my favorite 😍

Have you done a follow up to show how this has lasted? I love the effect so much!!
Heather 296 infusible ink lasts forever
@@melodylane I guess I was thinking about it on the glitter. Does it last as well as on a "proper" blank?
Thank you so much for this video. I am making my granddaughter a graduation gift and I Love the way this looks!
You are AWESOME 💜
I use the iron on option on my cricut with regular vinyl for hard to weed/tiny designs and fonts
A+ for your effort in getting it done. It's beautiful!

Wonder if it would work with silver glitter instead of white
Love how it came out Beautiful
I prefer to work with glitter iron on. With original easy press it even goes on smoother than the everyday iron. The everyday gives me so much trouble. Love glitter
Thanks so much for doing this for us. So many tips and tricks to keep in mind.

Hi Melody: I have just order the cricut easy 2 and can't wait to try the infusiable ink. I was wondering for 12x10 easy press could you use the 12x12 mat.
Could you use plain white iron instead off glitter?
No, because the glitter is made with polyester and the regular vinyl is not.
Melody I don't understand the difference between iron on and infusible ink. Iron on doesn't have colors right? its just letters? and with Infusable ink you can do designs with colors. Also whats the difference between butcher paper and parchment, I thought it was the same thing. Thanks

Alexandra Garcia Baudrit the reason this worked on the glitter iron on, is because the glitter is polyester.
@@melodylane Thank you for clarifying this!!! very very helpful...I was so confused!
That is BEAUTIFUL
Thank you!
Hello, just found your video. Soooo, is there a way to get white on without glitter on a dark shirt?
Can u use regular white iron on with the infusible ink?
Love your hair !
thanks! Thanks for watching!
To reuse the letter pop outs... should we use heat tape to secure them in place, before the butcher paper?
Thank You Melody.
I’m new to all I ink and iron on. So why not just use colored iron on instead of layering the two different kinds?
I did that too. I shared it in a few groups
I'd tried this possibly a week ago and it is amazing. Can we try light color glitter other than white?
What material is the bag? Thanks 😊
I have looked high and low on Cricut DS images for the black feathery background with the phrase on it that you are showing. I can't find it. I've spent about 2 hours looking. Can you tell me what it is? I'm thinking they removed it.

Hi, can I use heat n bond instead of glitter htv?
I am not sure I have never tried that
May I know what font is that-- creativity?
Oh its really pretty!! Love it Melody💖💖💖
is your temp high enough usually suppose to be what like 400 right?

Came out really cute. How would you do with an toddler sheet I’m adding grandchildren names for daycare. Plz show if u can in DS
Wow you have so much vinyl!!! Very lucky :)
WOW PRETTY!
Melody, can you tell the name/color of the infusible ink that you used on the black bag? TIA!
I think it was rainbow
Is this for the joy machine cuz thats what i looked for and this came on
How it help to use ink pencils on the white
Thank you for sharing this. How do you prevent your machine from cutting through the transfer sheet, mine does every time? Love the bag!
Set to less and it worked mostly, thanks!
Would the invisible ink markers work as well?
Definitely going to give this a try because I hate clingy spandex fabric and this is one way I can get the effects on a cotton tshirt.
Beautiful
Thanks for watching!
Love 💞 thanks for this experiment!
Amazing! I love this idea 😍
You could just cut the parts with the remaining color on it and then you can place them on the spots directly then you will know you are on the right spot.
Do you have to use glitter iron-on or will regular work?
Has to be glitter because the glitter is made with polyester
@@melodylane is there another iron-on that uses polyester? I'm in the minority that hates glitter.
@@rogerdeguzman3464 it’s the glitter part that is polyester

luvlychibi it’s the glitter that it works with, regular have will not work.
