We get these rations on the fireground woth CFA and mate those fruit bars are next level!! They sometimes chuck an apricot one in too, also bloody good. Cheese in a can is good. And always carry the condensed milk in your pocket for when youre walking around. The "jam sandwich" fancy biscuits are the best! That spoon they come with is a lot better than the old FRED!!.

Dave here Lee. A great vid. Something other than beeps. Kath and I will stick with our 5000 and 7000. The 6000 seems to have a lot of problems with coils. Enjoyed the contents of your ration pack. Use by date...........Kath always yells at me about something a mere 2 years out. 50 years ago we were still having biscuits stamped 1952. Break your teeth.

Great Vid mat. Quartermaster Ration packs (NSW) do a 12 &24 hr packs with self heating bags with about 8 different flavours and half the price of the defence ones. Your pack never had a $10 note for a taxi fare on the last day of deployment.

I was a soldier 40 years ago, and out rat packs were expired ex Vietnam packs. They still tasted ok. On an exercise K81, we were with the yanks, and they were given our daily rationale packs and are them for breakfast. They thought the pack was 1 meal. I remember cooking up a treat in my mug. When it was cooked, I left the lid off so it would start to cool. I went for a piss just as a chopper came over my position. When I got back, my mug was on the ground and full of ants, leaves, and twigs. LOL. Fun times.

hate to tell you mate but that 6000 is a return to minelab job

You reckon? I did ask them if it's the machine and apparently not..

I did post that comment before you changed the coil, but it is one of the first signs of a failing 6000 we own 3 6000s running all three brands of coil to which the coiltek is the more stable coil on all ground types the nugget finder is the most sensitive but gets the most ground noise. Too have been back to minelab twice, the first one blew up 3 coils the 2nd didn't matter if you put a new coil on just blanked out the machine hope for your sake I am wrong and its a nugget finder issue ,love your channel mate @@SavageProspecting

@gregrobustellini386 thanks for the info I really appreciate it. I may have to get minelab to look a little deeper if it continues to fry coils on me..
