so only 3000 tons of compost derived from 13500 tons of compost a month? we are throwing away roughly 10000 tons of waste?

About 80% of organic waste is water, and CO2 are also produced on the composting process, then your are not throwing away nothing, they are emitting water vapour.

So heres my issue. I spend money and time to process my waste and can it. I PAY Waste Managment to come pick it up. Waste Managment CORPORATION then processes it and the SELLS the waste for a profit. So where is MY cut? Im PAYING for WASTE MANAGMENT to be able to resell my waste. They should either give me free compost or a refund by weight at the curb.
